Best Service Ever!

My truck had service back in the fall. A few weeks ago my engine light came back on. I contacted my Service Writer John...he was great my service was completely covered under the prior work warranty they had my truck fixed right away! I appreciated how quickly they took care of my truck and that they honored the prior work that was done months back! I will always bring my truck here for Service!

Finance representatives slipped one in on us and were disappointed.

You know when you purchase a new vehicle from a dealer they have you go into a small office with Plexiglas all in front of you to sign the Contract of Sale? But before that they try and sell you an extended warranty that includes everything, with exceptions for about $16k, which is crazy but obviously they make a big commission on it. My wife and I told him we weren't interested in any of it. So we signed what was put in front of us and went on our merry ways. When we got home we reviewed the documents and noticed they slipped in an extra page for insurance in case the vehicle was stolen. My regular insurance covers it so I would never buy something like that which would be subordinate to my own insurance anyway. I immediately called and wrote them to undo it. A month letter they sent me a cancel document to sign and told me that my title and license plates were being basically held hostage until I returned the signed document and they received their money back from the company that I cancelled. Another issue that bothered me; on their dealer site is a calculator to show you how much your "trade-in" is worth to them. I showed them what their site calculated as a $7k difference from their offer. After some back and forth they reduced the difference to $4k. I felt this was somewhat unethical. They suck you in then spit you out. Watch out! Even in Utah you have to be up for the challenge!

Service Technicians are careless.

Took my Camaro in for an oil change. Got it back all scratched up on the entire rear end of the car. They tell me "the door came down while Technician was backing you car out." What? Who decides to lower doors while driving in or out of the shop? So, they took my car to a local body shop. It was shiny, but had major particles in the clear coat.. Try again! They tried, a sub -par paint job, and overspray galore. I will never take a car to Riverton Chevrolet ever again!!!

Best Experience Ever

Each person we dealt with was beyond exceptional in their customer service and respect to us, as their customer. The sales person (Devin) was not only knowledgeable but extremely kind. He took great care of us (including my children) and made us feel comfortable and answered all questions! Scott W. (finance) was simply amazing and did everything he could to get us the very best financing and make this process as smooth as possible. Bryan (the VP) was simply wonderful. We have never had a more lovely, seamless, and enjoyable experience buying a vehicle....ever! Riverton Chevrolet has our business for life. We will go nowhere else, and we will send all we know, to these guys! Thank you seems like it is just not enough! Thank you Thank you!!

Great Experience

I've had 2 cars with recalls which is never fun to have to go to a car dealership and to wait. The new Riverton Chevy store is great. Tv's in the waiting room, ipads for my 7 year old to play on, and a great coffee machine. Both my cars got the recalls done quickly and Riverton is the only place I take my GM vehicles to. Another dealer put a new motor in my mom's Toyota Rav4. Within a couple day the car wan't running right and the dealer that installed the motor told her they couldn't look at it for 2 weeks. I told her to go to Riverton Chevy. It was a drive from Bountiful but she did it anyway. They looked at it in the service area and saw it was just a blown fuse. They replaced the fuse and didn't charge her anything in 2 minutes. Beats 2 weeks. Great service experience.

Great Experience

Bought a Silverado for myself and a Cruze for my wife. Love Chevy vehicles and Riverton has always given me the best deal and the best serice. When our lease was up on our Cruze my wife wanted a Cadillac ATS. I told them what I was looking for and within a week they found my wife the perfect car for less money than we were looking to spend. Found a 2013 ATS with only 9,000mi. loaded up and in perfect shape. I will always buy my cars from Riverton Chevy and I recommend them to friends and family often.

I have purchased at least 12 new cars and found that time spent with Riverton Chevrolet was stupid at best. The arrogance displayed by more than one employee made me realize the working atmosphere in this dealership was toxic. Stay away. Read the reviews...

Crooked and awful

Easily the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. DON'T GO HERE! The following is a copy of the letter that I sent in reply to the sales manager, read it and be warned! Mark, I regret to say that I won't be purchasing a car from your dealership, which is very sad, because you had the vehicle I wanted, the price I wanted and you gave me a fair appraisal on your trade in and your salespeople were very friendly, with the exception of the one that I dealt with, who disappeared repeatedly and left me sitting for ten to twenty minutes at a time with no explanation. Your financial people were without any question the most appallingly rude and unprofessional people that I have ever in my life tried to deal with. I never felt like a customer with either of them, Mary spoke so condescendingly to me that it seemed as though she found me revolting and pathetic. Apparently I failed assemble all of the forms that she wanted to her specifications, and that's my fault, but instead of politely explaining what our next step needed to be, she felt it appropriate to speak derogatorily of me to the salesman as if I wasn't there. She said "Well I told him what forms we needed and he didn't bring in the right forms." That's how she started, anyway, the conversation devolved to gossip about some co-worker she didn't like and I was just sitting there astounded. This was an entirely new experience for me. I had brought an old insurance card but I printed out my payment history from the bank to prove that the coverage was current. That wasn't good enough, which was mentioned in her conversation about me to the salesman, I had brought a printout from the bank showing our property management company with all of the relative information, but she wanted the rental agreement it, and the bank statement that I printed out wasn't the correct one, etc. All this were things that could have been dealt with, and I was certainly willing to at first but as we spoke she sounded immensely put-upon to have to bother with me and lectured me about my poor record keeping. That along with the third-person conversation I had been subjected to made it clear that Mary considered me to be something of an idiot and clearly would have liked to have been elsewhere. I was literally wondering if I smelled offensive. Much later, when she told me about the financial particulars, she said that a financed amount of $7,500 at 20% interest would come to a payment of over $350, which I knew immediately was off about +$5,000. I asked what all the extra money was for and she told me that it was a "Bank Fee." So I left to ostensibly go get the rest of the documents, (which of course I had no intention of doing) and she called me later asking when I was coming back. I said it was late and that I wouldn't be coming back in that night, and she informed me that she wouldn't be there the next day. Feeling a little hopeful, I asked if there was someone else who could help me with the purchase, expecting a name and referral information but she said no, that there was no one else who could help me with my purchase. Which of course was an absolute lie, as Riverton Chevrolet is a very big operation and obviously has more than one person who can sell the car. It was at that point that I decided that there was just too much condescension and dishonesty at the dealership and that surely, despite my 580 credit rating, some other dealership somewhere who would have something close to the car I wanted. The company called back and asked me about my experience, and I told them. So they had the other finance person call me, and trust me, I don't have room to write about it here, but he made Mary seem graceful and sweet by comparison. This dealership is all about serving people who have perfect credit ratings and lot's of money. If you don't they will assume that you are stupid and try to steal from you.
