Truck service

It was very professional friendly and service repairs were performed in a very reasonable time 2 hrs. The dealership was clean bathroom always exceptional. All employees were friendly and professional. The waiting area comfortable with refreshments available. When I exited the dealership my vehicle performed comfortably. Upon arriving home once again no oil , radiator leaks tires were at expected pressures. Experience was excellent as always since purchasing our vehicle in 10/30/2018 Best truck on the road today thank you chuck/cawnii Palmer mesquite nv

Truck service

Not all Dealers are equal

Just wanted to give a heads up to other GM/Chevrolet Customers of a difference between customer service depending on which GM dealerships you happen to land on. My situation: I had a huge trip planned in March 2022 to travel to Baja Mexico and drive my truck and SxS along the Baja peninsula. Spent alot of money and took several proactive measures in Feb to ensure my Truck and SxS were ready to go to avoid any unplanned break downs etc. Brought my 2014 Denali into Doug Smith Chevrolet Spanish Fork UT to proactively replace all fuel injectors since engine codes suggesting a rough idle. Drove the vehicle maybe 100 miles before leaving for Mexico on March 4th. I was pulling a medium size trailer of approx 6000pds and after about 200 miles I heard a whistling sound or air escaping from what I thought was a leaking vacuum hose and saw an engine light turn on. Hooked up an ECU reader and found engine code P0300 on cylinder 5 immediately suspecting the injectors again. I took my truck into Henderson Chevrolet NV and told them I just replaced all the injectors and wanted a warrantee repair since Doug Smith put that in their 24 month warrantee parts and labor. Henderson Service Managers denied my request and said "we can't warrantee human error?" I said the warrantee covers both parts and labor yet they would not do it? Instead said it would cost $1,300 to pull both injector banks and replace all the seals again. This was very frustrating as I just paid 1800 a month earlier to get them all done the first time? Story gets worse: After they "repaired" my truck for the second time I drove no more than 200 miles back to Utah and some of the injectors failed again and lost power and engine light came on again. I asked Henderson for a refund for their botched "human error" and the refused to work with me again???? Out of desperation, I had to drive my truck back under a dangerous condition with extremely hot exhaust gases escaping through damaged injectors seals again. Again, I searched for the closest GM/Chevy dealer and dropped it off at Stephan Wade Chevrolet in Saint George UT. Here is when my story finally gets a little brighter, ""a better ending to a very bad story." I met Service Advisor David Ottesen who immediately empathized my situation and said we need to take care of this customer right away without charging him a single dollar! I was shocked to see such a 180 degree turn around from my experience at Henderson who would not do anything without more money. By the next day Mr Ottesen call me back on my cell and said we found the issue and replaced a damaged/faulty injector without any cost to you. Excellent work! I got back in my truck and headed north to SLC with no further problems! What a difference one dealership makes ? One was customer focused while another was profit focused when they both knew I was under warrantee. I am going to report this unfortunate incident to GM Corporate Office because they need to know and hopefully fix their dealerships service protocols to be consistent otherwise why even go to a dealer in the first place if you can't get the same support no matter what state happen to land in? They need to respond to customer service like Stephen Wade did for me. -longtime GM customer who's confidence was shaken a little :(

JUST BAD

wish I would have written this review sooner. Took my 1990 corvette in for service and I was told a world class corvette mechanic would be doing the work I requested....oil and filter change...fuel filter change...tranny flush with new filter. Long story short...after a few days of oil leaking on my garage floor I looked for the problem....not too hard to find. The oil filter was so tight the gasket was bulging out the side of the filter. Also the oil pan plug was leaking. When I unscrewed the plug there was no gasket to be found. Why wasn't I told of this problem and why wasn't it fixed by this world class corvette mechanic???? So I go buy new oil...filter and drain plug and do the work myself. What a waste of my time and money going to WADE CHEVY. I live in Mesquite....next time I'll go elsewhere for service. BTW no more oil leaking on my floor.

Great Sales Staff!

Brad Moon was our salesman on the three purchases this year and he was terrific each time. He is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and never pushy! In fact all of the staff we have worked with have been terrific!

The service department at Stehpen Wade Chevrolet in St. George Utah deserves a five star rating for not only their willingness to make you feel important as a person and not just a customer, but also have the expertise to make the repairs right the first time they trouble shoot the problem! They do everything to make you feel welcome from a shuttle service to a near by shopping area to just being so polite and professional! Deserve the highest graditude given!

Great GM dealer

Stephen Wade Cadillac in St. George UT is top notch, I order my new Cadillac XT5 in February and took delivery June first. This was a long time unfortunately due to the earth quake in Japan where some of the electronics where made, this affected several auto makers including Toyota. In that length of time I became friends with sales Manager Robert Eames and my sales rep Gary Johnson. Near the end of delivery we knew the XT5 had been shipped from plant in Spring Hill TN and talked every day. A few days before delivery Robert Eeams phoned me for a update on delivery, I could see on phone caller ID that call was coming from Stephen Wade Cadillac so I answered the phone “Stephen Wade Cadillac service department” for five seconds all I could hear was crickets, we both had a good laugh. Very pleased with purchase, this was my second new car purchase from Wade bought a new Honda CRV for my girlfriend from Wade Honda.

Really?

I bought my Car new because the Chevy dealership was Large, nice, and made me feel like a first class owner. A year or so after buying a new Chevy, I found out the Chevy dealership was moved to a smaller building. I have to drive over 60 miles round trip because the only car dealership in the Mesquite area deals in 4 letter word cars. Really? The building the Chevy's are in now is small, dark, and make me feel like I'm in any other used car shop. The people that work there are nice and do the best they can to make me feel good about owning a Chevy. Unless there is a Chevy dealership in Mesquite, it looks like my next new car will be a 4 letter word.

I am always leery about shopping for cars. I have had some bad experiences with pushy sales people. However, my experience at Stephen Wade was absolutely delightful. Everyone, from sales to finance to service, was professional, kind and helpful. They went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and allowed us to make up our mind. We couldn't be happier with our 2015 Chevy Equinox and we will definitely return to Stephen Wade for future car purchases.

Honesty the best policy

On 1/14/2014 I purchased a 2012 Camaro SS from Stephen Wade Chevrolet. I agreed to pay $31000.00 for the car and was told I would get $2500.00 trade-in on my 1999 Camary, plus I was putting down $15000.00. I also purchased an extended service contract for $2641.00 and a appearance warranty for $399.00. In August I had a problem with my brakes so I took it in to the dealership to have it looked at, they told me that the brakes were not original equipment and that whoever had installed them had not done it properly, so they fixed the problem. The service advisor David Ottesen told me The bill was going to be roughly $60.00 I told him I had purchased the extended warranty and he said it wasn't covered because they were not original equipment. I told him as far as I knew they were because I hadn't changed the brakes from when I bought the car and the service contract so it should be covered. He asked me what I wanted him to do and I said I felt Stephen Wade should eat the charge not me. We discussed it some more and he finally dropped the price to $37.00 which I told him I would pay so I could get my car but I told him I was still not satisfied with the out come. I went home and got out my paperwork to see if the service should be covered and I decided to just cancel the extended warranty since I haven't had good luck with these type of warranties before. While I was looking at the warranty I decided to take a closer look at the other warranty for the appearance I had purchased. When I checked it out it turns out the car was suppose to be sprayed with something to help protect the paint, and I know that my car has never been sprayed while I've owned it, also the contract states that it can be transferred to a new owner at no charge. So I feel one of two things has happened. Either the previous owner had this coverage and they just charged me for coverage that should be offered to me at no cost per the contract, or they have charged me for something that was never applied to my car. The next issue I have is a bit of a mystery to me it concerns a theft protection coverage that I don't remember discussing or signing for, but my signature is on the contract so I guess I will have to live with it even though I know I never would have wanted this coverage since I have auto insurance for this reason and what they offer is a joke as far as I am concerned. The last of my concerns deals with what I paid for the Camaro as I stated earlier I agreed to pay $31000.00 for the Camaro since I had looked up the value of the car on the internet and it was valued at $29800.00 by KBB on the internet and that was without some upgrades that were on the car so I felt it was a fair asking price plus they had bumped up my trade-in value to $2500.00 from $1700.00 so I was satisfied with the deal. When I looked at the contract it had the price of the Camaro at $33352.00 instead of the $31000.00 I had agreed to with the sales manager. I called and talked to Tyler Baker the finance mgr. about my concerns and he said he would look into it and get back with me. When he called me back he told me that he had the sheet that I had initialed and that it said $33352.00 on it, I told him I would like to see it so I drove down to the dealership and what he showed me was a copy not the original. When I looked at the copy I saw something that made me know it wasn't what I had initialed it had three different amounts on it which I am positive were not on the one I initialed because they only made me one offer and I agreed to it so after seeing that I felt it was best to leave and pursue a different route since I no longer felt they were dealing with me on an honest level. Consumer's Desired Resolution: I would like to be refunded the $2352.00 for the difference between the $33352.00 they charged for the Camaro and the $31000.00 I agreed to pay. I would also like to be refunded the $399.00 that I was charged for the appearance warranty that I should of been offered for no charge or that they didn't apply the protective spray for. I have read the reply and would like to address the concerns I have with it. First of all the reply states that they set up an appointment for me to have the perma plate applied to my car on 8/30/14 at 8am sat. morning which I can state without a doubt is a total fabrication since with my job my days off are Thurs. and Fri. and have been that way for 10 plus years, so why would I schedule an appointment on a day I know I have to work and not on a day that I do not. Also I bought the car and the warranty on 1/14/14 so why would I schedule an appointment more than seven months down the road. As I stated earlier this is a complete fabrication on the part of Stephen Wade to try and cover there dishonest practices, and lastly if I paid $399.00 for this coverage why wouldn't I have called and rescheduled to have it applied. To add to this dishonesty they tried to make it appear as though they had proof of this fabrication by stating that it was on Google calendar which tells me this dealership is willing to not only lie but also fabricate documents to cover their dishonesty. Which brings me to the main issue dollar wise of my complaint which states they made me an offer of $31000.00 to purchase the car and instead they charged me $33352.00 and have yet to be shown an original copy of the agreement that I agreed to. My concern is if they have shown a willingness to deceive why would anyone believe anything they say. Especially since as I stated in my complaint I looked up the value of the car the day before I agreed to purchase it and it was valued at $29800.00 so the only way I would have agreed to pay $33352.00 for that car is that I would have to be a total idiot, I can state with some certainty that is not the case. In closing I would like to state that the main reason I have filed this complaint besides the money is that I feel businesses like this one should be brought out to the attention of the public so that number one no one has to go through what I have gone through and number two is to hopefully get rid of this kind of dishonest business practices that are far to prevalent in our society today, and hopefully more people will stand up and fight when they feel that they are being taken advantage of. Lastly with the help of entities like the BBB and Consumer Protection fewer business will be willing to risk being brought to light as being dishonest and instead will choose the high road and treat there costumers the way they would like to be treated

Stephan Wade has great cars & trucks and great people...

My wife & I purchased a Toyota Prius and a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck from Stephan Wade during this past year. As it turned out, I found recently that I needed a bigger truck for towing and traded in my Tacoma for a Silverado 2500 HD this week. Stephan Wade sales staff from the Chevy dealership and the Toyota dealership worked together to help me get the right vehicle off the lot in just a matter of a couple of hours. I miss the Toyota, which was a great small pick-up, but the Silverado with a diesel engine is an amazing vehicle! The Silverado is a 3/4 ton truck and I am getting better than 15 MPG around town already and this vehicle doesn't even have 200 miles on it yet. The cabin has every comfort that a top of the line Cadillac can offer and I have owned Mercedes and driven Cadillacs in the past which have nothing over this. Despite its size, it is easy to handle with the back-up camera and collision warning systems. When I decided to look for a truck with stronger towing capacity, I went to my Toyota dealer first, but we couldn't find a good match in the Toyota line-up. Because Stephan Wade carries several car brands, he was able to refer me to a colleague who could help me right away, without traveling all over town. I know the dealership and their service is great. The salesmen who helped me made the whole process easy and they gave me a great deal on my trade-in. I recommend this dealer for anyone in the area. They have great vehicles, great people and fair pricing with no games. - BR

Horrible Experience

Bought a new 2014 Camaro and included the rally stripe package as part of the sale. The stripes were crooked and needed to be removed and reinstalled. The General Sales Manager (GSM) wasn't very interested in helping, after putting me off for two weeks he just wanted to refund what I paid for them and wasn't interested in correcting the issue. I don't want my money back I want the stripes! I ended up having to resolve it myself and convince the GSM to issue a PO to a local shop. One other thing, they have this antitheft program they call AutoShield. Apparently it's window etching and a policy, really I think it's a rip-off and they charge $300-$500 for this and no option to decline. I asked for some kind of documentation and they gave me nothing. Very unhappy with my buying experience with these guys and I will never buy anything from them again.

I love Stephen Wade!!!

I love my Chevy truck! Every time I am in the market to purchase, I have been 100% happy with my car or truck. Not knowing the car business I have to rely on honest people to help me. I have never been disappointed with Stephen Wade. Gary takes care of me every time, and I trust him with everything! He is extremely knowledgeable, and always takes time to talk to me. He mkaes me feel like I am his number one priority! I live 300 miles away and when I call, he always answers with time to help. Even with dumb questions I should know, he is patient with me and treats me with respect. Robert is very kind, too, and willing to go to any length to help me. He even goes out of his way to notify me when I can save money due to rebates, and cash back offers from GM. I even buy my cars sight unseen, or undriven, and I have never been disappointed! They have them driven right to my house!!! If I could, I would buy a new a car every month just because I feel like a queen with their treatment. Every person that buys from them is lucky! The dealership is clean, and organized, well run and efficient! Thank you for letting me be a part of it all!!!! Holly S

Great Service! No Appointment Required

I purchased my Tahoe Hybrid from Stephen Wade in 2008. Since then, I have used their service department exclusively. Their service representatives are top notch. I can show up at any time, without notice, if I have a new and pressing problem. They are always able to accommodate my needs. I have been responsible for servicing both my and my husband's cars and the service representatives respect my experience when many dealerships will not take a woman seriously when they talk about cars. I cannot recommend the Stephen Wade Service Department more highly.
