WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP

by Andrea Torres on 09/20/2020

WARNING: THIS IS A LONG REVIEW BUT WORTH READING BEFORE CONSIDERING BUYING FROM THIS PLACE! I will give them at least 1 star because apparently there is not an option for zero stars and because the sales department was very friendly and helpful while trying to sell us a vehicle. Very bad experience with these people. The service department does not seem to care enough to do their "thorough inspection" before selling a vehicle. The inspection that they HIGHLY brag about. We bought a 2015 Ford explorer sport from them. Little did we know the water pump was on its way out. We were assured that it had been through a good inspection and serviced before we bought it and that if there was anything wrong with it, their service department would find it during their "thorough inspection". Well it passed their inspection with flying colors apparently and they said everything was good with it. *** SIDE NOTE: It had been sitting on their lot and posted on their website for quite awhile and had not even gone through an initial inspection or cleaning to be ready to sell. The day we brought it home we noticed the AC didn't blow very cold. It also did a couple other unusual things - not normal - that we had mentioned to them several times. But since they had already gotten their money, we were now being treated like an annoyance. We had it for 2 weeks and it was in their shop twice to check our concerns. Both times they assured us that they checked everything and nothing was wrong. So either they didn't even make a decent effort to check, or apparently their "inspection" doesn't include simply checking coolant levels. The coolent had all leaked out and 14 days after taking it home the water pump failed, it overheated and blew the head gaskets. It then had to be towed back to their shop. Never once did they call to keep us updated on what was going on. We had to call almost everyday to try and find out something, anything! That must have really annoyed them because as time went on they all got extremely rude. Finally we found out that they were going to replace the head gaskets and water pump. Well thats great except that my husband's best friend owns a mechanic shop in vegas and frequently talked to him about this. He warned us that if the engine got hot enough to damage the top of the motor, then it most likely damaged many other parts as well. We didn't want to find out later down the road so we asked that they either replace the whole motor or buy it back. Well after alot of arguing and rude words, they agreed to buy it back. Nice of them right? Except that they required we pay 56 cents a mile for every miles we had driven it during the 2 weeks we had it which came out to $400 out of our pocket. Mind you, every one of those miles the AC barely worked during the dead of summer with 3 kids riding in there. One being a 1 year old baby. So very nice of them. Of course they are going to turn around and put that same vehicle back on the lot to pawn that problem on someone else. That person will more then likely have no clue. If you go car shopping at st george auto gallery, I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT BUY THE 2015 FORD EXPLORER SPORT IN THE COLOR GUN METAL GRAY. They are very friendly and helpful at first, but don't be fooled. Once they get their money, that will change.
