Junk used car

by Chris on 04/15/2019

Dec 18 2018 , I purchased a used 2010 audi a4 2.0t. 127kmile. Beautiful car. Until I drove I 400 miles , started burning oil , like 3 qts in that 400 miles. Not right. I took back down to tony. For my complimentary 1000mile 30 day that they provided me with and told them my problem and what was going on. They wanted to charge me 300$for a diagnostic , was not helpful at all they had no problem selling me the car. Drove another 400 miles. And realized something was way wrong. I ended up spending $ 7252.64 for a complete engine rebuild . On a car that I've owned barely over a month. So much for there 120 point Inspection. Will never recommend them . Only way for them to make it right is reimbursement. Highly disappointed have all the paperwork , you know who you sold it to.

What a Joke!

by RobertVilla on 09/03/2016

I went to Tony Divino to try to lease a Tundra. Their sales tactics are a joke. They bring out this big binder of computer paper and show you their "so-called" cost of the vehicle and then ask you, "what is a fair profit for us to make on this truck?" Quite frankly my dear, I don't give a damn what your profit is on this truck. I just want the best price possible for me. They gave me a lease payment and I said, "thanks, but that's too much." They asked me to wait and after 30 minutes the salesman came back and said, "we met with Mr. Divino and we were able to get the payment down another $100 dollars." I said, "great," how did you do that? They said, "all you have to do is put another $3,500 down on the lease." Really, that all I had to do. Silly me. I could have told then in 30 seconds that putting another $3,500 down on the lease would lower my payments $100 a month. You are wasting your time going to this dealership. They are notorious in area for being shady. Buyer beware.

Dishonest and incompetent

by FrankMesen on 06/30/2016

My list of complaints with this dealership is so long that I don't even know if I can remember to list all of them. I put a deposit down to special order a tundra trd pro. From the beginning the salesman was great, always responsive always getting back to me, that was until I gave my $500 deposit and then all the sudden things changed and every response was "all find out first thing tomorrow" yet days would go by unless I text again to find out an answer to my question.. Funny how the customer service was great up until the deposit was made, coincidence? Another complaint is I live in California and I needed the truck delivered, and I made it perfectly clear what week I needed it delivered. I found out at the last minute (and I mean last minute!) that they couldn't deliver on the day I requested I just happen to text the salesman after again not getting back to me when he was suppose to and let's me know that they couldn't deliver it on the day I needed. So I literally take a shower and pack a bag and drive 11 hours one way to Utah because I had already planned out the days I was suppose to receive the truck, mind u I also had to call in sick for work. I get my truck finally make it back home after another 11+ hour drive back and in the rush of purchasing the vehicle I noticed something was added to my contract that I didn't ask for. They added a vtr etch system that cost me $249, when I talked to the customer relations manger DENNIS KING he told me I should've went over my contract before I signed it, that was his response! It's gets better, since I bought the truck out of state I had to register the truck through the DMV here in California. I asked the salesman if the taxes were sent (the taxes were added to the finance and they're suppose to be mailed to the DMV where u live when u buy out of state) the salesman tells me "yes they were sent last Tuesday" so I go to the DMV and after THREE HOURS of waiting I come to find out the taxes were never sent, I was lied too and I would have to return. So I make it to the DMV again after having to get a day off from work to go and I find out the dealership miscalculated the taxes and registration and I had to pay $1,489 out of my own pocket... Unbelievable a finance manger who does this for a living would make such a mistake of this amount! Another complaint is I preordered my truck before it was even built yet when I received it it had 83 miles on it, I find that very suspicious were Tony Divino employees joy riding my truck before I took it home??? I mean 83 miles is a lot for a new vehicle to have especially if it's preordered. After talking to the customer relations manager he told me why didn't u ask your salesman about the miles. I don't understand the need for a customer relations manager if they aren't going to look out for their customers? Dennis King just told me oh well I suggest next time u don't buy a vehicle out of state, way to try to get repeat customers Dennis!! So my advice to anyone thinking about buying a toyota stay clear of Tony Divino Toyota, especially the salesman Hiram Donley, the finance manger Brad, and the customer relations manager Dennis King. There are tons of Toyota dealerships nationwide to choose from this one isn't anything special and they won't give u any special reason to buy from them. Look at their Yelp reviews, most are bad!! If u buy out of state it's just more of a hassle cause you'll have to pay taxes in your state still, you'll have to go to the DMV (we all know how much fun that is) you'll have to get a smog certificate (extra cost) and it doesn't matter if the vehicle is brand new, and if u buy a truck you'll have to get a weight certificate which is another cost and public scales are hard to find I had to drive 35 min one way to get to one. Even if u want a tundra trd pro like I wanted yes they're a little harder to find but if u go online to cars.com and use the filter u can find over a hundred trd pros for sale nationwide right now, don't be impatient and deal with a company like Tony Divino. In the end I put an extra 1,500 miles on the truck since I had to pick it up from Utah, I made 3 trips to the DMV and spent around 7 hours getting it registered, I had to drive over an hour round trip to get my truck weighed, I had to get a brand new vehicle smogged (waste of money if u ask me) and I've made countless phone calls to the customer relations manger trying to solve my issues, and in the end I was told next time u should probably buy in the same state u live.

Bought a new 14 Camry & used 05 4Runner

by jranddestiny on 06/29/2015

sue & mike were great to work with in the finance department. They helped us get a lower interest rate for our 4Runner than what our credit union(America first) was offering. Gave us a great deal on both vehicles. My dad also bought a '10 Prius. Always have had positive experiences getting our service done there & getting accessories from the parts guys

Get a carfax, because these guys will lie to you.

by jsfrazier on 03/04/2015

I met with their customer sales representative today to discuss this issue. In the onset of our meeting he berated me for writing a negative review. He also fully admitted that the salesman violated company policy in the case of our car and misled us. He said the salesman was terminated shortly after we purchased our car, but would not disclose why. He offered his heartfelt apology, but said that any financial loss was on us. Mr. King, the point of a review is to let others know the experience that I had at your dealership. I was misled, and I want others to know that. You admitted that a former employee violated company policy, which may have resulted in a financial loss for me. You apologized and said that is all we can do. I hope that my review is helpful to anyone reading this: A Tony Divino employee ripped us off off, they were terminated, we were left with a financial loss, but a heartfelt apology from the organization, and a scolding for writing a negative review.

Jerk you around sales tactics

by tellingutruth on 04/03/2010

Watch out! this dealership will tie you up with your deposit during promotions to either wait them out or loose them entirely. They will change or remove window sticker discounts before your eyes and not be accountable for such actions. Management is of no help, they are the problem and take it personally when you catch them at these practices.

Expensive

by Rodent on 01/23/2009

Not a pleasant experience. If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle from this dealer shop around for the best price. There are hidden charges that they add on. Ask to see their dealer invoice with a breakout of all the charges. You will see a TDA charge (Toyota Dealer Advertising) fee that they try to pass on to the consumer. Also, another fee that goes into a pot for dealership upgrades passed on to the consumer. These fees can amount to several hundred dollars. Also their dealer invoice differs from other Toyota dealer invoices. We bought our vehicle from another dealer and saved about a thousand $$$.

Great Buying Experience

by dukekrog on 08/01/2008

Contacted over internet. Recieved very prompt quote that was better than Edmonds TMV. Salesman worked hard to find vehicle that I wanted (wanted tow package Sienna) and arranged to have it dealer traded from Pocatello, ID. Went to dealer, and had a very positive experience. We were able to test drive the vehicle without him present in the car, and he didn't pressure us to close the deal when we indicated we wanted to think about it. Very curteous and promt on the phone and in person. Finance department was very similar. Lots of extra options offered, but lots she said were a waste of money. Offered very good prices and told us we should think about it/research it and get back with her. Would definitely buy from them again

BEST CAR PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER

by andray on 05/08/2008

I made contact with Tony Divino Toyota over the phone, I was impressed right off the bat on how they answered the phone, I felt that I could speak to the salesman about anything, especially being a woman I did not feel like I had to be on the defense or have my Car buying Guard up at all, they invited me to come in and test drive and actually let the cars sell themselves. From the moment I stepped into the Dealership I was happy and I have truly experienced the best! I will never think of car buying as a hassle again. Thank you!
