Great New Car Experience

Many thanks to “Izzy” Ruiz and Beck and Masten. We have just purchased a brand new 2020 Telluride and it is beautiful! Izzy was delightful to work with, expertly explaining the benefits and options of the Telluride and what made it the excellent vehicle that it is. He explained why he felt it was a superior, and after we drove it we felt the same way. He made us feel comfortable and NOT pressured to purchase. He spent a lot of time helping us set up various options for the car’s computer and its systems. Izzy’s experience and attitude made us want to return when we purchase our next car. Great experience!

Disappointed Customer-Salesman not in line with Beck & Masten Philosophy

I am a very disappointed customer and I would like to share my experience with you. I am a previous customer of Beck and Masten Kia, I took my daughter to B&M back in 2017 and we purchased a 2017 Kia Forte S. In February of this year, I took my son car shopping and B&M was the first dealership we went to. My son found two cars he liked, but was also comparing pricing with other dealerships. As any customer would do, we looked for the best deal. We found another dealership that was a bit lower than B&M for the same vehicle with the same equipment (no difference other than price). I contacted the same salesman, who helped my daughter and me, in 2017 to see if they would match or beat the other dealer’s price, as I would have preferred to purchase the vehicle from B&M, as we did for my daughter. The salesman stated that the GSM would not budge on the price so we ended up buying the same exact vehicle for a lower price at another dealership. Thus far, we have purchased a 2017 Kia Forte S (New at the time) from B&M and a 2019 Kia Forte S (New) from another dealership. My wife and I were ready to purchase yet another Kia Forte S from a dealership that would give us the best price, as any customer would do. I contacted, yet again, the same salesman that help us back in 2017. I advised him that my wife and I were ready to purchase a third Kia Forte and that I would be giving him and B&M another chance to earn our business. I had been in contact with the salesman via phone and text. I advised the salesman that I had gone down to B&M in the evening and found three vehicles that I would be interested in purchasing, if they would match or beat the price of one of two other dealerships that had the same vehicles (same equipment). The response I received, I felt, was very unprofessional and contrary to B&M’s philosophy, which is stated on the B&M Kia website, See philosophy below: "Beck & Masten Kia is committed to providing the very best customer experience for our sales and service clients. We want our customers to have complete confidence when purchasing or servicing their new or pre-owned vehicle. We accomplish this by providing our clients with the information required to make informed decisions. This information is shared by our dedicated, warm and friendly staff and delivered with individual pride and company spirit." "Whether in store or online, we will deliver the most compelling shopping experience possible. Our philosophy is to offer our customer the very best possible service, selection, quality and value in our market. We are passionately transparent in all we do and with integrity.” (Quoted and referenced from the Beck and Masten Kia website) I can tell you that the response I received from the salesman was, in my opinion, nothing like what is described above in B&M’s philosophy. The communication between the salesman and I, was via text and I still have the text to show as evidence. My text to the salesman was; “I went to look at what you have today. If you would like to call me tomorrow to discuss, I’ll be available all day. My wife and I are ready to buy from whoever gives us the best deal. We are putting half down and I have a trade.” The salesman’s response; “I’m not doing this again man. Our online price is my best price.” It seemed as if he was annoyed that I was looking for the best deal and asking him if he would match or beat the competition. He did not even try to match or beat the competitor’s price. It was as if he did not care if he got the sale or not. This was surprising, since we were returning customers. I do not believe that the salesman’s response reflected Beck and Masten’s philosophy in providing their customers with the most compelling shopping experience possible. I do not think that any salesman should respond to a customer who is trying to give B&M their business, for a second time no less. It was this same attitude that forced my son and me to buy from another dealership. I communicated with other dealerships since I received that text from the salesman at B&M and I provided them with the same information I provided B&M’s salesman. I can assure you that their response was more in line with B&M’s philosophy than their own salesman’s response was. Their response was; “Come on in and we will see what we can do to match or beat the competitions price.” “Whatever it takes to make the sale.” I am very disappointed at the level of service and professionalism that was shown to me by the salesman. I am also offended by the response I was given. Throughout my years of purchasing vehicles, I have never been given a response such as the one I was given by this salesman. No customer should be treated or spoken to in the manner that I experienced from this salesman. What is worse is that fact that we are previous customers. If this salesman is not going to honor and abide by Beck and Masten’s own philosophy, than why even have it stated on the webpage. At any rate, I did not mention the salesman’s name nor did I mention any other dealerships, as this is not intended to promote other dealerships nor is it intended to ridicule the salesman. I shared my personal experience because I believe that customers should be shown respect and be provided great customer service. If the salesman was not interested in making a sales, he could have been more professional in his communication.

Excellent Customer Service

We had been to numerous dealerships within the passed month looking for a car that fit our needs. Out of all those places, this was the best service we had received. Clariona Randolph was very sweet, friendly, and helpful. She wasn't pushy and never made us feel uncomfortable or forced into making a purchase. She did her best to make sure we were always happy with what was going on and if we ever weren't, she would do whatever it took to get it back to that point. All around best customer service I've had in a while. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

We just bought a 2015 Kia Sportage about five or six weeks ago. We bought it for the sticker price which was $18,000. It had 30,000 miles on it and came with a hundred thousand mile bumper-to-bumper warranty stated on the sticker. I put $4,500 down which would have me financing $13,500. All these people talked about while signing the papers was the amount of the monthly note in which they had my wife and I believing that we were signing a 48-month note. We just got the contract in from the finance company and found that the balance of the amount financed is over $19,600. [non-permissible content removed] added more than $6,000 to our balance and turned it into a similar monthly payment but added 24 month to the term making it a 72 month loan instead of 48 months and now the sales manager that we dealt with will not answer his phone or return our messages or answer our emails. I would strongly advise not to do business with this Kia dealership. They are [non-permissible content removed], they ripped us off by more than $6,000 and when you add the interest and the additional 24 months of the finance required full coverage insurance they will have gotten us for close to $10,000. Please beware people, do not purchase anything from these people. We feel violated and embarrassed However the fact that we thought we were doing business with honest people. If nothing else, I hope this post will at least save someone else from having this happened to them.

Great sales staff

One of my best experience when buying a car. Drey Smith responded to my e-mail right away the price of the vehicle was good and helped me make my decision before driving to dealer. Nice place "Very clean" they helped me get monthly payment that I can afford, my wife is very happy with the van we got and looking forward to go on vacation next summer

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

Don't waste your time with this dealership There used vehicles are nice & shiny but in very bad shape underneath where it's most important. Full of mud and signs of a leaking oil And dares to comment "well that is a truck, you expect mud" There was significant damage to the tailgate of this truck as to where it would need a whole new tailgate and that was not disclosed in the details!! And what made me more angry is that I traveled from San Antonio to Houston with the intentions to purchase after I was told nothing about the damage!!! And the general manager James Hatfield sat there and insulted us by his "salesman comment" and wouldn't agree to fix the damage if we made the purchase!!! So in a nutshell "Don't Even Bother with this dealership it will be a waste of time

Terrible after sale

Great before sale completed - totally different after the sale. Bought a used Chevy from Kia dealer. Several issues: 1) did not get floor mats as expected per conversation prior to sale with salesman; 2) salesman was no show for meeting scheduled the following day after sale, rec'd phone call week later; 3) when plates came in they put on the back plate, but there was not bracket on the front-they said they don't have Chevy brackets only Kia brackets and I would have to go to a Chevy dealer-if you have a car your lot, it should meet all legal requirements of that state, this is not an unrealistic expectation Salesman was great before sale, but I will not buy anything from this dealership nor would I recommend this dealership for anything! All customers and vehicles should be treated the same before and after the sale regardless of the brand - you had it on YOUR lot for sale! Very disappointed and frustrating

Regret

Drey Smith was the worst Sales person I ever dealt with. I started to leave several times and regret that I didn't. He let me sit for 4 hours while he ran around talking to co-workers. I was totally ripped off! I was charged the total suggested retail price for a 2015. I sent Drey Smith an email asking how to get scratches taken care of. He never answered. I called. He never called back. The Finance person was another joke. The co-workers come first. This place will let you sit for hours. Purchasing from this place is the dumbest thing I've ever done.

Excllent Customer Service

Mike O'Mealey was the Sales person that helped me out from the Beginning. I bought a Truck from dealer ship. Mike made sure I was well taken care of. Even after I Purchased my truck, he made sure I got my license plate and made sure I was happy with the purchase. They always were there to help and make things easy. Mike O'Mealy was a great help, very professional gentleman, and extremely helpful and nice. Definetly recommend KIA, they take care of their customers, especially when people like Mike O'Mealy are in the sale department.

I am beyond satisfied with the service I recived here a Beck & Masten Kia Tomball. I called before arrived let Jeff know which car I was interested in, and upon my arrival he had the keys ready for me to go and test drive. When we arrived back to the dealership there were a few problems on my end but Jeff tried anything possible to keep me uplifted and not to give up and I appreciated that so much. He even tried two other possible cars one in which I was not interested in and he understood and didn't try to push me into and make me interested like other dealerships have done to me previously. He even was willing to teach me how to drive a manual so I could get the second car opption which I thought was a win win because I've always wanted to learn. But at the end of the day I end up getting the wonderful Kia Soul that i had my eyes on from when I walked in. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone I know that was interested in getting a new/used car. Not only was Jeff amazing all the staff here is very uplifting and friendly. Thank you Jeff for all your help!

They were great and even with not so great credit I got everything I wanted! I highly recommend them even if they aren't close to you, they are worth the drive. Allan o was my salesman and Charlson was my finance guy not only did they bend over backwards for me they were pleasant and not hard sales. I appreciate that because I too work in the service industry. They had a hard same to make but made it happen and I couldn't be happier. I will send all my friends and clients to them. Warranty Refund

I purchased a car for my in laws retirement. The salesmen were very nice. They failed to mention that the awesome Kia warranty is PURCHASED instead of warranted with the purchase. I actually bought the car. And then realized in the parking lot that they charged me for the warranty. So I returned and asked them to remove the 2,500 dollars for the roadside assistance and the warranty. They were happy to help. I was instructed that this would take a couple of weeks. This was in January 2014. I have contacted them regularly, with no avail. I have been VERY patient. I have had the cash to pay the car off for over a month, but can't since the price owed to the bank is incorrect. I continue to pay interest on the loan daily, and I can't pay it off since the price is incorrect. I am very frustrated with this dealership, and would caution any person to pay close attention. Once the "deal" is done they are very hesitant to get back to you or to give you an answer.
