Huffines, Plano. Honest & efficient service department

Not only is it a pleasure to do business with the entire Service department at Huffines , Plano, the true test is when a special situation on complication occurs. This does not happen often but when it does Huffines, Keith Overtruf & Henry Borders, researches the entire problem and comes back with options or a solution. Very comforting to know you really can trust this dealership.

Oil change

After years and years of going here. I was disappointed. I felt like a problem that was intermittent was encouraged to be addressed later as it was not happening and I was asked to change an air filter. For $75. This is my fourth Chevy pucchsses form here And taken then all to the service department every time. Never heard of this requirement. Felt I was targeted for easy commission.

Terrible Sales Manager

Bryce Bessler was arrogant and very unprofessional in all aspects. I found my dream car at another dealership. The way I was talked down to is not something that I wish on any one trying to purchase a new car. Huffines is not the place for me EVER!

Terrible Customer service

We bought a truck from them in August that was suppose to be GM certified. Not even two months later now they are saying that the battery is no good and we need to pay almost 300 dollars to replace it because it is not covered on the warranty. How on earth does a truck pass GM certification with a bad battery. They are not even willing to pay for the part themselves. The truck still has dealership tags on it! The sales man forgot to order tag for the truck as well so we still do not even have license plate tags. This is just ridiculous and I feel as if we are being taken advantage of so they can make a buck off us. Every time we call we get the run around and no one will take ownership of the mistakes. Will never buy any type of car from any huffiness dealership ever again.

Excellent New Car Sales Experience

Everything was excellent dealing with Ray Huffines Chevrolet in Plano, TX. From the first time I spoke with Chuck Winnett our salesman, he did everything he could find the exact car we needed at the price I wanted. He even exceeded my expectations. Chuck was very quick and responsive and even though they didn't have the exact vehicle on their lot, he found one at another dealer and brought it in for no additional charge. The financing went excellent also as they were able to meet or beat all the other financing I had found myself and they were very quick and easy to deal with. Everyone was very pleasant and thorough and made us feel very welcome. The fact that we drove almost 200 miles to purchase this vehicle even though we have a local Chevy dealer in town speaks a lot. They know their business and I was able to complete the deal entirely by phone and email so that all I had to do was sign the paperwork once we came in with no hassle or haggle. Next time I need a new car, I will trust Ray Huffines in Plano!

New Truck purchase made easy!

Steve Rutherford, Bryan Etzel and Bryce Bessler made turning in a lease and getting a new lease quite easy! This dealership is top notch and make the process as pain free as possible. I needed to be finished by a certain time in order not to be late for work and Bryan beat that time constraint. Much appreciated!

Great experience with Mr. Dan Werner. Honest, professional, kind and with a great sense of humor. There is no feeling of pressure in the dealership unlike many others. They give you the feeling you can take your time to decide. The atmosphere is welcoming and all employees are nice and helpful. Very enjoyable experience!

Above and Beyond

The Huffines team went above and beyond our expectations, We were in the market for 2 vehicles--one for me and one for my daughter. We took an initial test drive with Huffines, and about 3 weeks later, in doing some research, I allowed a web site to share my information to get a feel for pricing, across dealerships in the area—to which I got a LOT of e-mail responses—one of which was from Huffines. They did an outstanding job of simply taking my word for what I thought we wanted, and did what they could to locate them. None of the other dealerships who responded to the web site inquiry gave me the same level of attention or help. When we first settled on a deal for both vehicles, there was hope that my daughter's would be able to take advantage of a Bonus Tag discount of $1,000. She is on a VERY tight budget, and this discount would just bring the total cost within her budget. When I picked up my vehicle, I was told that she would not be able to get the discount after all. We were very disappointed; but the Colorado was perfect, and the deal was hard to pass up, so she determined to go through with it anyway. Unbeknownst to us, however, the Huffines team got together and found another way to give her the same discount. You cannot imagine the thrill and gratitude when we picked up her vehicle, and they told us of the discount. Huffines went above and beyond, in every respect, and they will be the first place we stop the next time we are in the market for a new vehicle. Thank you, Huffines.

45k Maintenance

I was ignored by every single person, I took my vehicle for a 45k service which include oil change, filter oil and air change, tire rotation, and lubrication, and all i got was an oil change no body call me before or after my appointment. at the time to pick up my vehicle and settle my bill every one was to busy to talk to me, Very disappointed to say the least

Great Service Dept and sales dept.

I called one day and got an appointment the very next day when I wanted it. I showed up 30 minutes late and was treated GREAT ! Keith Overturff was my service advisor and is a very good man to deal with. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. I chose them because they are a family owned business and NOT a nation wide big corp. They made our new purchase very easy and I always feel welcome there, always treated with respect by everyone there.

Very Happy and Very Safe Purchaser

I purchased a beautiful 2012 Mazda 3i Touring Sedan with so many features, I don't even know what they all mean yet. This Mazda was in hot demand by the public when I arrived to see it. (The instruction manual for this car is twice as thick as for any car I bought before.) This is the 8th car my husband I I have purchased, new or used, at a Huffines auto dealership. I bought it under sticker price, and had a sales man who worked like crazy to find me a good car and loan at the monthly premium I needed, working the numbers upside down and sideways to make this work for me as a single mom. The car meets all my transportation and comfort needs, which is something, considering I am handicapped for mobility and live with terrific chronic pain. This car is affordable and comfortable, with good lumbar support. With the sleek lines and wonderful 40 MPG on the highway, it will make a safe journey to see my college kids out of town. I want to send Kudos and shouts out to salesmen Miguel Lopez (who researched the night before I came in and had the car waiting for my appointment on a busy Saturday), Eric Stovall (my second car in a row bought from him, and he drove with me and worked out the final deal) and finance manager Gadiel Plaza, who scoured financing options for an interest rate I could use, Ray Huffines' organization is tops in my thinking, and the place I go when I need a car. I believe the quality of the deal reflects the quality of the people there, not just the wonderful selection, and that Mr. Ray Huffines's character and leadership has a good trickle-down effect through his entire organization, drawing good people to his team. I am grateful to all the team who helped me, seen and unseen, and for the Huffines 125-Point Certification process that takes the worry out of buying a used car. Great job, everyone. It has been a delight! I will be back in a few years, again!

Greatest Dealership in Plano

I bought a Tahoe, they took the time to explain all of the features. I can start my tahoe from my phone, it has Wi-Fi Built in, and it even avoids Traffic! I can't wait to show my friends. Ask for Chris Ninos, he is the sales manager, he made sure we were well taken care of! -Russell

GM Service is a Joke

This is simply the mark of GM's terrible customer service. I own a Saturn and they CLAIM to want to keep me as a customer, but this experience shows otherwise. My Saturn has had a passlock system problem for about 2 years that is a known issue on ALL GM cars. After about 7 years, these systems start to fail. They won't recall them because it isn't a "safety issue." So I go into Huffines because the system is acting up, my key is locked in the ignition and my car won't start. Because the passlock light was on (indicating the problem) my battery went dead. I've been here before for oil changes and always had a great experience. I got Reginald (Reggie) who was rude to me from the beginning. I know I'm a female, but that does not mean I don't know my own vehicle. He quoted me a new ignition cylinder and battery. Battery was 165$ (should be about 70$ without labor), but I was willing pay extra to get the whole thing fixed for $440. He then called back and said (surprise, surprise) that it was the passlock system and the total was now $585 (left a voicemail). My decision was to get the ignition cylinder and the passlock fixed, but to check to see if my battery was under warranty; which means 165$ off of the total quote of $585. The work is finished, and Reggie 1. Says it won't start without a battery, meaning that I can't verify their work. (but then his associate "magically" got it to start) and 2. Says that he quoted me $585 for just the two parts, not including the battery. So I make him listen to his voicemail. He then proceeds to invade my space, act like I don't know my car, and that I misunderstood him. I asked him why he would ever give a partial quote. He just said that's how much it is. I refused to pay that, and we settled on $485. I take the car to WalMart and my battery is actually under warranty (no charge to fix). In addition, my key CONTINUES to get stuck in the ignition, even though Reggie assured me that it was fixed. I bought the part to fix this and did it myself. I also replaced the ignition switch because it was bad. So out of this experience. 1. I was treated horribly 2. My car was not fixed 3. I was lied to and 4. I was squeezed for money. Why would anyone return after that? I also tweeted my problem to @GMCustomerSvc and got a small response asking me if I would ever take it to another dealer again. I said yes, if they had a recommendation of an honest one. Note to self: BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

2004 Vette engine cleaning costs Almost $4400. Issue is still there,???????

First i want to say My 2004 Corvette is in pretty good condition, has been a daily driver for 4.5 years without any issues and 57000 miles, slightly over 10k miles per year. I am going back to the dealer and will try to get some assistance in understanding the following. Took my Vette into the dealership needing the following: 1.) 4-Wheel alignment 2.) Diagnose, Engine in Reduced power mode due to ingesting water at carwash....??? really no kidding normal manual carwash cleaning entire car and engine bay... 3.) oil change 4.) odd ticking/tapping/sewing machine noise that changes with engine RPM... Lifters, Valves? What was good and what is bad... first the good: Good: 1.) 4-wheel alignment 2.) Diagnose "Engine in Reduced Power Mode" Replaced Throttle Body... 3.) Oil Change BAD: 1.) Price of Throttle body was over $700 and $900 with labor. I searched the net and Could Not Find a Throttle Body for more than $500. Wow huge Markup and seems to be used not new part also. 2.) After completing all of the GOOD items still had a ticking/tapping/sewing machine sounds that change with engine RPM. 3.) Shop Recommended dissassemble top half of motor to find tap, states may be a bad lifter or 2 so i approve an additional $500 engine teardown, I am than told I have a couple of bad Lifters and will cost an addition $3500. to rebuild and replace ALL of the lifters and head bolts and gaskets, i can understand the gaskets for a rebuild. 4.) I pay just under $4400. for a top half of engine rebuild, Oil Change, Wheel Alignment, Throttle Body replacement and Labor. 5.) driving home the ticking/tapping/sewing machine sounds are very apparent with zero change in volume pitch or otherwise. 6.) stop by another local shop and have them take a courtesy look and they say it looks like the squeeking is coming from one of the pullies or belts not the engine... 7.) I will go by Huffines Chevrolet Plano, TX again tomorrow and very nicely ask why i paid so much for something that is not even fixed...??? 8.) maybe i am just dumb for expectiong that a Corvette Certified Mechanic in a huge Chevrolet Dealership can tell the difference between a Lifter and belt/pullie??? I will report back to this review with my experience after tomorrow I do not have any bad feelings at this point and have been a customer for over 2 years, I believe it to be an honest mistake on the Mechanics part and I am sure the Manager will help correct the situation.
