Outstanding Service

by Rigger28 on 08/30/2014

Although there are Chevrolet dealers closer to our home, we drive the 30 miles to buy our vehicles at Luling Chevrolet. Our sales person, Ryan M., is helpful, understanding and courteous and takes the time to explain all the features on our new cars. We have found everyone else at the dealership to be friendly and easy to deal with. The Traverse we just purchased is the third vehicle we've bought at Luling and will probably buy our next one there when we are ready. I would recommend this dealership to our friends in the area.

Luling Chevrolet/GMC

by ronf78155 on 02/26/2010

After doing research on a New GMC that I wanted built to my specs I visited Luling GMC. I had already been to [several other dealerships]. Most dealerships were not interested in getting the truck built to my specs but wanted to sell me something they had on the lot or told me they could find me something close to what I wanted. I thought I had a good deal on ordering from my local GMC dealer until I visited Luling Chevrolet/GMC. Mr Barron himself assigned a salesmen (Joshua) and after I told them what I wanted Mr. Barron told Joshua what price to give me. He blew everyone else away and when the truck came in they even reduced the price more due to some GM incentives I didn't even know about. That kind of honesty and integrity is rare. I could not recommend any dealership any higher. A small town dealer that treat's you with caring and knows you by name when you walk in!

Bait and Switch

by bantam on 06/08/2009

Very disappointed. Negotiations were made by email (in print) and by phone and time set up for very next day for the price quoted on 3 vehicles. Price would be the same for these 3 vehicles (confirmed by phone the day before). Arrived at dealership. Test drove said vehicle. Loved it! First clue that stated/written price would not be honored was salesman stating "Well, let me see what numbers we can put together for you" My husband and I looked at each other like what does that mean? We knew the number that it was suppose to be, that is why we were at this dealership and not the 3 others I had quotes from. He came back with quote of $3048 more than original quote promised. Arguing ensued, Excuses on their part given. None valid as we were quoted this price for this day. Told them we would pay, but not here. Left for [another dealership] and paid their quote on exact vehicle. Bad Bad Experience. I would never have every dreamed a small town dealership would treat you this way and out right lie. We have purchased from [another dealership] and never been treated this way, they are wonderful! They did not have what we wanted, though. Purchased from many places in the past and never been treated this way.

THIS DEALERSHIP AND ALL OF ITS EMPLOYEES ARE A [violative content deleted]!!

by chasidy on 02/18/2009

I should have known that I would be dealing with a typical used car salesman when I came to this place. Why should they be any different than everyone else, right? But since this is a small town, and many people have been going there for years, I thought I might give them a try. Wrong thing to do. For starters, upon entering the lot, I was approached by a [violative content deleted] that appeared to be my same age, but obviuosly not my same intelligence. Through listening to him speak, it was apparent that he had been well trained in the ways of used car salesman. When I would ask him the price of a vehicle, he would tell me that he didnt know. After about the third time, I asked him how he expected me to buy a car if he didnt know the prices...and he said that he shouldnt have to memorize them all (this is a small lot). So finally after going back and forth, I decide on the car that I want. He told us everything about it, let us drive it, and then went to sit down with us to discuss it. It was a current year model car, with a 100,000 mile warranty on it. They wanted a certain dollar figure for it, and were willing to work with us on our trade in's. Then we start talking financing...this is the kicker. He pulls into the conversation his manager, what an [violative content deleted]. He precedes to tell us that we have no "CAR CREDIT" and that he can get us financed at 18 percent. We informed him that we actually do have "car credit" and its good, but no thanks, because we already have our bank financing this transaction at 8 percent. Apparently they didnt like that. Fast forward 2 days. They get everything in order, I go pick up the car and am scheduled to go back the next day after work and sign everything. My husband and I go to sign the papers and we start signing them and the very last page states that the vehicle is "as-Is", with no warranty. Wait a minute, you told us that it had a 100,000 mile warranty on it. Why would we buy such a new year model car without a warranty? A big argument erupted where they called me a liar to my face, my husband stepped in at my defense and said that they were lying, things escalated and I ended up walking out of the dealership yelling at them to give me my trade in's back. they did not want to do this. So of course, after them trying to smooth talk me into accepting this raw deal, I end up leaving with my trade in's and not with my new car. These [violative content deleted] are [violative content deleted], and all they care about is making money, even if it not honest money. I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy, and I hope that they loose so much business, that they have to shut down.
