The guys who go the distance
by 09/21/2016
onTo everyone who is thinking about buying a mazda I would definitely recommend Joe Myers Mazda. They bend over backward for you to make sure you are satisfied with the car your buying and that you get the best service you could ask for. They are completely friendly and up front about the entire car buying process and making you feel like one of there family. They even take you back out to the car to have look it over one more time before you buy it make sure you are totally satisfied. They never pressure you into a car or try and persuade you a way from a car. They will however make sure they tell you everything about the car you are looking at and answer all of you questions about the car. If they don't have the answer they wil find it out for you. I personally dealt with Brain who has been just great making sure I liked the car and that everything is going great with the car. Like I said before they want you to be 100% happy with the car you get from them. By the way the prices there are better then the other dealerships around.

A good experience
by 08/02/2015
onI bought a new car after lots of research. I worked with Max Dao to find the right choice. The staff was patient as I interacted with multiple days of emails and phone calls before finally dropping by the showroom. They provided some uncommon financing terms options to get my deal just the way I wanted it. I respected that they were patient with me and didn't pressure me too much. They also helped me delivering new car to my house. Much appreciated.

Excellent experience

onWe purchased a Mazda 3 from Joe Myers Mazda on 6/6/2015. Our negotiations were amazingly simple, and we were treated nicely, respectfully and professionally in every way. Everyone was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our satisfaction. We solicited prices from every Mazda dealer in Houston and Austin, and Joe Myers matched the lowest price on the exact car we wanted. Even the process with the finance department was fast, painless and friendly. The car is perfect and beautiful. If we ever need to purchase another vehicle, Joe Myers will definitely be our first contact. Thank you for the great car buying experience -- our best ever!

Great experience Joe Myers Mazda & Mike Deal
by 01/28/2015
onSpoke with Michael Deal told him what we wanted and how we wanted to take care of the purchase. He was able to give us the best deal over the phone, a much better price without even telling him what other dealers offered. No games, no hidden fees, no pressure for anything other than what we asked for. They had the Mazda 3 ready to go when we got there. Just a few papers to fill out and we were out of there. It took an hour or 2 & drove away. I highly recommend Joe Myers Mazda and Michael Deal & staff. Thanks for an easy purchase!!!!

Do not trust [non-permissible content removed]

onThey come across as nice, but they force sales of service plans on the back side of your note, by law you can cancel these, but they will tell you they will call it, you fill out the paperwork, but they will not send it in, blame it on finance, assure they will fix it and do not. Michael Deal and Michael Stewart, make promises they do not intend to keep, they cost me $1580 on a plan that I didn't even ask for and was added to my loan, if you want to waste money go here. Or go to Jeff Hass where they are honest, that is where I bought my other 3 mazdas from, I will never buy from them again. And have told many people about how bad they are, do not fill out the survey they want you to fill out till the paperwork settles.rip off alert !!!!! I told you guys I would do this, thanks for a bad experience and all your lying.

Dishonest salesman and manager
by 10/20/2014
onMy first visit I was looking for 2014 Mazda3 sedan in gray. I couldn't agree on a price with their games of checking back and forth with manager. Two days later I came back looking for 2015 Mazda3. Manny Villareal told me they have a red one in stock although checking their website the inventory did not show a 2015 red Mazda. I thought they must have new stock that did not show in their website's inventory yet. Manny even talked to my son on the phone specifying that I was negotiating for either 2014 gray or 2015 red. My son said he preferred 2015 red Mazda3. I negotiated the price with Manny and his manager for a red 2015. They told me to pay $500 deposit because I had other plans that evening. I gave them my AMEX. Manny drove the car to the front. He had removed the MSRP sticker from the window. It was not even in the glove compartment. Sensing something not right while they were processing the transaction, I stood outside the door of their office and asked Manny one more time if he was selling me a 2015 car. He turned to the manager in their office and they were whispering. I went to the table about 10 steps away and waited. Manny came back to tell me it was a 2014 car. If I hadn't asked again they would have gone ahead to process the paperwork. I probably would have caught it at the final signing. When I found out they had misled me into paying a deposit for a different model I was very upset. Manny told me that there was no difference b/t 2014 and 2015 model. Granted there is no difference in design, I was buying 2015, which is now starting to trickle in for inventory. There is more room for negotiation with 2014 models. Thus I did not make an offer as low as if I was negotiating for a 2014 model. I told Manny that he lied to me and wasted my time. I grabbed my AMEX card and left. I did not sign the deposit receipt. That was Friday afternoon. I just checked my AMEX online today, Sunday. Joe Meyers had processed the $500. These people are dishonest and have no shame. I found a 2015 car at another dealer. I am disputing the charge with AMEX right now.

CX-5
by 04/27/2014
onI bought a Mazda CX-5 from Ed last summer, and it was not great from the beginning. I got a text from Ed agreeing on a purchase price, but when I got to the dealsership, the price they came to me with was not what we agreed on. Even the manager (his name escapes me) was rude and tole me that if he sold me the car at that price, he would get fired! I researched other dealerships around the city, but I could not come to a deal so I reluctantly went back to Joe Myers. At that point, I was desperate for a new car for work. On top of that, Ed verbally promised me anything in the accessories department for <$100. I know that it would have been better if I got a written agreement, but I usually take a man at his word. My mistake! I went back and forth with Ed for months about the accessory, but I kept getting one excuse after anther so I gave up. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because I love the car, and the finance department gave me what I wanted and was quick. I have purchased from Joe Myers before from the Ford and Mazda dealerships, and they have all been wonderful. This was the worse experience ever.

Bad Sales Managers
by 09/16/2013
onSalesman was not pushy and very helpful. Test drove a car, agreed on a number, ran my credit and the sales manager would not let me know how much it would cost me a month unless I agreed to buy that day. I told them I was not an impulse buyer and I needed to plug it into my finances and insurance to see if I could afford it before I commit. They would not estimate me a monthly price unless I committed to buying it. How can I know if can afford it if you will not tell me how much it cost? This guy is [non-permissible content removed]! Way to sell cars.

Got screwed over by Joe Meyers
by 09/07/2012
onJoe Meyers committed to selling us a 2012 Mazda Miata Silver Touring Power Retractable Hard Top on Labor day with a stated price. They actually had 2 Silver Retractable hard tops on the lot. One of the cars had a door ding and front air dam paint damage. Obviously we didn't want that one and the salesman committed to selling us the unblemished one. The salesman told us the finance department was backed up so we told the salesman we would be back in a couple of days. He said Wednesday was his day off so please wait until Thursday so he wouldn't have to split his commission. On Tuesday I called the salesman to recommit to the car. On Wednesday evening I drove by the lot and the 2 silver cars were still there. On Thursday, I called the salesman to confirm we were coming in that evening to close the deal. We showed up and the blemished car was sitting in front of the dealership, the other silver car was not there. The salesman promptly walked out of the door and upon greeting him, we asked, where is our car, that blemished one is not the one we agreed to. He had the nerve to say, "I sold the other one yesterday". On his day off of course. Obviously we were very upset over this bait and switch tactic. We talked to the sales manager and he refused to make good on delivering a comparable unblemished car. A truly horrific experience.

The Wordst Managers Ever
by 04/15/2012
onI was going to buy a Mazda 3 from this dealer. I had a test drive and when I come back I couldn't find the sales person that was dealing with us. So I left the keys to another salesman and just go to Ford section of the same dealer. When I was there I received a call from the sales manager asking me about the keys. And I said I left them to a salesman there. And I don't know why he started to yell saying that he doesn't want to sell the car to me and I would have "showed some respect". After the call I left the Joe Myers Ford and walked back to Mazda to see what was his problem. He was not there and salesman apologized in behalf of him. So things settled down and I swallowed his words since I liked the car. By the way the attitude of the salesman was very great in contrast. So we've agreed on the price, loans and even on the car. And I signed the pre-purchase agreement then I started to wait for the color I asked. After 3 days the car arrived in which time I've also started my insurance. Everything was going well, and I went to the dealer to drive out with my car. Even the car was ready and cleaned. After waiting like 3 hours they came up to say that my loan didn't approved. I waited that long to hear that. I dissapointed and said I'm leaving all my work and loosing my time to came out with empty hand. I was waiting for a kindly excuse however the manager responded with the same attitude telling that they also lost their time dealing with us. How can a sales manager say to his customer that he is losing his time dealing with a customer. In fact dealing with a customer who was ready to buy the car on terms that were agreed. Overall their salesmans were very kind but all of their managers had an attitude as if they don't want to sell cars. So overall I was happy not to have bought the car and dealt with them again.

Great response

onTony F. contacted me within hours of my Internet inquiry for a new Mazda through USAA's car buying service. I am completely satisfied with Tony's service. He called and emailed me, listened to what I wanted, and did his best to find what was on the lot matching my need within an hour or so. Unfortunately my decision to purchase a new vehicle changed and I decided to keep my current vehicle. But due to Tony's service I will put Joe Meyers Imports on the top of my list when looking for a new vehicle. These guys run a professional sales operation and are highly recommended.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM JOE MYERS
by 07/20/2011
onEveryone I came in contact with at Joe Myers lied. The salesman lied, the sales manager lied, and the finance manager lied. Not just once, but several times. They will say anything to get you to come in and then they will say anything to make the sale. I gave them one star because that is the lowest rating allowed. It should have been ZERO.

Really a good experience
by 04/02/2011
onI have written a couple of bad reviews of other Kia dealers I went to during my search for a car. This dealer was straight up with me, quickly found out what I wanted and directed me to what he had that was in the ball park. The price he gave me in the email was all in, drive away so there was no room for either side to dicker, and it was still below the MSRP, so the sales price before tt&l was well below MSRP. I went in with a loan preapproved, but their loan department was able to get me a loan at a considerably lower rate than I had from my own credit union. So, with the above in my experience, I cannot see how I could have been treated better, and I really distrust car salesmen!

Worst Car Buying Experience
by 03/10/2011
onI went in trying to buy a Kia Sportage LX without options. The sales person keep on trying to up sale me on a more loaded model. He eventually suggested that to search inventory at other dealerships. He came back with a price for the car I was looking for. The price is significantly above MSRP for the base model. I inquired about what kind of options were added. He returned saying that there's no additional options. I pressed the issue why is the quote price above MSRP and if I can get negotiate the price. He rebutted, that if I want a lower price, I can go to another dealership. One good thing about the experience is at least he didn't waste too much of my time. I would not recommend anyone for this dealership experience.

Unscrupulous Dealership
by 12/27/2010
onI was treated well in Sale Department: the Sale Manager and Associate were courteous and helpful. The Dealership installed many options such as fabric protection, paint protection, tire assured to jack up MSRP. I was able to negotiate a price to minimize those extra useless charges. I have my bank quote ready to sign off the car but the Finance Department insisted having me filled out its loan application for them to find if they can beat my bank's rate. In the end, I was presented an extended warranty of 7-year, 100,000 miles along with maintenance plans included and told a number approximate $8 more than my bank quote if I purchase this warranty. $8/month for next 36 month getting a peace of mind is a no-brain deal. After the calculation, the number was even better lower than my banks monthly payment but the service warranty is 5-year; not the originally proposed 7-year plan. I was quickly presented all the terms and signed the paper. The night, I FOUND OUT THE 36-MONTH LOAN HAS 42-PAYMENTS ON THE CONTRACT. Went back to the Finance Department next day asking how a 36-month loan ends up with 42 payments. After recalculating the payment without the service contract, the payment is about less than $1 than my bank. I felt sorry for my own mistake and decided to take the loan. Guess what, several hundred dollars was added to the originally agreed purchase price!! The GENERAL MANAGER CAME OUT YELL AT ME THAT MY MONEY IS NOT GOOD MONEY DEMANDED THE CAR BACK AFTER I POINTED OUT THE REDO LOAN HAS ADDED EXTRA HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM MY AGREED DRIVE-OUT PRICE. HE EVEN ASKED ME PROVIDING THE PROOF BECAUSE NO WAY THE DEALERSHIP WILL SELL ME A CAR WITH THAT PRICE. He said that I came to the table with NOT BUYING ANY SERVICE IN MIND and I was to blame to sign the contract with 42-payment. I returned the car to void the 42-payment contract. Be aware of this dealership: they sell services and many dealership installed options, not vehicles. By the way, I filled out the form having Ford logo and financing at KIA office. Yes, I was to blame signing the contract without double checking the number but the dealership's unscrupulous acts were unacceptable.

received no price quote
by 12/26/2010
onAlthough inventory showed this dealer had the vehicle I was looking for I never received a price quote, neither by e mail nor by phone. Because of the distance I would not travel all the way without an indication what to expect. I tried this dealer for my previous car a few years ago with similar experience.

Thanks for the friendly, no-pressure sales experience!
by 05/28/2010
onMy car was wrecked badly by some crazy woman a few months ago, and while I awaited to learn if it would be "totalled" by the insurance company, I decided to do a little shopping. I visited Joe Myers Mazda and had a great experience. The salesperson was nice, informative, and was understanding that I did not know if I would need to purchase at that time or not. Other places tried to harass me into a sale. It turned out that the car was NOT totalled, and since I was still a little upside-down on my loan, I am SO GLAD I did not get swept up into any hasty decisions. Given the situation, I really appreciated the excellent service, and the non-pushy attitude of Mike at Mazda. He was fantastic, and will be the first one I call when I am ready to replace my repaired vehicle with a new Mazda. Even though I did not buy that day, I can still confidently recommend you visit Joe Myers Mazda.
