Deceptively dishonest

by Ronald on 10/26/2021

The MSRP was the listed price online. I called and spoke with Austin several time and we also texted back and forth. I set up and appointment time and I drove over an hour only to be told that the mark up of the New F 350 Super Duty on an average was 15 to 20 thousand dollar, because of the chip shortage. There was also an itemized list, that he stated that they add these upgrades to all of their vehicles. I have no problem with a mark up, however I do have a problem when someone advertise something deceptively and waste my time, by have me insulted with an advertised price of $65,500 and I get there and you are now telling me my walk out price is now over $97,000. This is horrible and discredits everyone involved: Edmunds, Ford, Westway Ford and it's Staff.

Agree on a price next day $6000 more; dishonest;

by fruad on 10/04/2021

We agreed on a price; next day $6000 more; not willing to accept previous price; Sales Manager Chase Bradley was of no help. Horrible experience, honesty, integrity and simply doing the right thing was not available to me. Sales manager was not easy to deal with; I would not advocate doing business with this type of business.

Best Experience

by william109 on 03/06/2014

I recently Leased a 2014 Explorer and the crew at Westway did an absolutely amazing job. Cory our Salesman is an asset to the company and made the experience fantastic. He stayed in contact with me as I made up my mind which took a few days and then Ali and Rafael took care of me on the pricing and financing. They worked their magic to get me a fantastic offer. I haven't enjoyed getting a new car this much in a very long time. I recommend Westway and Cory to anyone interested in getting a new Ford.

Happy to Serve you Late at Night

by Explorer_Owner on 03/03/2014

We were able to purchase a 2014 Ford Explorer on a Tuesday evening because they didn't mind sticking around for the purchase. We live 100 miles South of Westway and they made it happen for us. Make sure you find sales agent Cory W.!

Long Distance Satisfaction

by noentry on 02/27/2014

I live in KS, and while searching for a family conversion van I came across a deal too good to be true. I contacted Mr. P. with WestWay Ford to inquire. He was very helpful and provided me with specific views and details about the van that I otherwise would not have known being 500 miles away and not able to pop in. I asked for any body flaws and he looked the car over and sent me shots of not only the beatiful interior and exterior but a dent and scratch that could only be seen close up. I drove the 550 miles expecting to see a van that was over sold! But to my surprise the van was exactly what Damon P. & Omar S. shared with me. The van was imaculate. They greeted me and were very helpful in getting my questions answered and provided the details I needed. I was also on a tight schedule, so there was no dancing around and BS, I am not a guy who needs a lot of extra I need specifics and honesty. Everyone has a tight schedules and I had 500 miles to travel. Perfect test for my new van and it Ran fantastic ! I love my purchase I love the price! And have overwhelming satisfaction with Damon P. & Omar S. These 2 are Customer service oriented and if you ask them a straight question then you will get a clear answer. I am in Kansas City enjoying my purchase and still wondering how they were able to let this go for such a low price!! Its worth double what I paid, one owner mint condition 41000 for 8k ?!? It pays to look around and Westway ford's Sales team is worth the look!

AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!!

by annar3 on 02/21/2014

Let me tell you that the guys at Westway Ford went far and beyond to get me into a new car. Damon P. and his team are completely awesome! When I first called I really didnt think they could help me. After just a couple of minutes on the phone with Damon I completely believed and trusted him. When I arrived it didnt take long for Damon's team to show me a car and start working to fit it in my budget. To make a long story short. I'm in a New 2014 Ford Fusion SE for under 400 a month. Big Thank you to Damon and the entire Westway Ford Team.

Great Car Buying Experience

by marvin18 on 02/19/2014

I don't write many reviews, but this time I thought it was necessary. Back in December I decided I wanted a new car, but I had to get one in my monthly payment range. I called at least 5 different dealerships before I spoke to Damon P. at Westway Ford. When speaking to Damon I had told him what I could afford monthly, what kind of car I wanted and how much I had to put down. After taking all my information he told me he had the car I was looking for. Then he tells me to go to the website to see if I like the car. Which I did. He then ask me if I wanted him to hold the car, which unfortunately I didn't. Car sold later that day. Not to fear, Damon finds the exact car at a sister dealership with some added options. Damon calls me back and lets me know I can have this car for the same price as I was quoted for the first car. Excellent. I set up a time to go in and do all the paper work. Upon arrival I was greeted at the door, met Damon in person everything went as planned. Here's the real kicker. About a week after buying the car I received a certificate from Ford with an exclusive offer to by a car and get xxx dollars off my next vehicle. Well I'm thinking I just bought a car and missed the discount by a week. I called Damon to let him know about this. Damon tells me he'll look into it for me. A few weeks later Damon messages me back to let me know Ford will send me a check for the amount of the discount. All this being said I would highly recommend going to Westway Ford for your next vehicle and ask for Damon P. a truly great car buying experience.

Best Car Experience

by krisliz on 02/05/2014

I went on to the Ford Dealerships website and built the car I wanted. I sent in asking if there were any near here that had my specifications. I got a phone call from a manager. I told him everything I wanted. He located the vehicle I wanted for me. My father and I went up there and meet up with one of the sales managers. We were treated like a one of kind from the moment I walked into the doors. They have a very friendly atmosphere. The specifications that I asked for the car are hard to find. They were up front with us and honest. He made it work for us. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had and I will continue to go there for anything in the near future. I love the car I am driving. This car has been a car I wanted for almost over 7 years now. I highly recommend this dealership. :)

Westway ford sales practices...

by reign on 11/09/2012

I recd an email telling me how much I would pay and what terms for a lease car I had inquired about. I specifically told the internet manager I did not want to be low-balled on pricing. He said he wasn't and for me to come in to look at car. I went there and had credit checked (came back excellent). Internet manager had me sign a form stating x amount of monthly payments, x amount for my trade in and if I agree and sign it, could we do business today and I said yes and signed it. In comes their sales manager (different guy), and he tells me Ford is not leasing this car because its a new body style and they cant determine what residual value is. This is a lie (I've read ford forums and people who have leased this car after I left this dealership). He then tries selling me the car with an outrageous monthly payment. He didn't answer my question on why they wrote me a specific price on leasing this car and now he tells me they don't lease this type of car. He didn't have an answer for me. They low-balled me on pricing and this was what I was trying to avoid. It was a waste of my time going to this dealership.

Shame on you Westway Ford...

by reign on 11/02/2012

I tried to avoid the usual car dealership "low-ball" tactics in which they try to get you in the door giving you a low price and then telling you another once you wasted your time there. So, I thought I would send them an email telling them specifically what vehicle/vin I was looking for. Again, I specifically told them what monthly payments I was not willing to go over, what trade-in I had, what my credit was (excellent), that I wanted $0/down with TTL rolled into the monthly payment. After a couple of emails back/forth with their internet manager, he finally told me my monthly payment would be ($298/mo x 39mo lease, with $0/down and TTL rolled into that payment). I then went to westway ford to have them run a credit check on me and to appraise my trade-in (which kelley blue book said it was worth $400 less than what my payoff was...and I told their internet manager this before he gave me what my monthly payments would be). My credit check came back excellent, and internet manager had me sign the "...if we sell you this car for this amount, and give you this amount for your trade-in, would you buy this new car today..." I agreed and signed it. A few moments later, in walks his boss with a written document showing my payments would be $150+ more with $1500 down payment on the new car I was looking at. After explaining to him what his internet manager already told me via email what my monthly payments would be, he said they couldn't do it for that amount. He gave me some excuses of this/that. It doesn't matter. They told me a written price and now they will not honor it. Shame on you westway ford. I was totally honest with you, and you totally lied to me. How can you have a conscience with this sort of customer service??? I know a mans word should be good enough, but knowing what car salesmen do, I thought a man's "written word" would be good, but sadly I'm mistaken. This sort of thing should be against the law (I will definitely check on this too). I'm hoping everyone would read this and take their business some where else.

dealer offer did not match final deal

by holidaylights3 on 12/21/2011

we think Dealer offered quite complicated, difficult coersive sales deal. we do not recommend dealer. Dealer gave phone quote for car. They manipulated numbers on the final deal. 2 Ford dealers argue fiercely for buyer to use credit for deal with them. They say it is a better deal, save $. We think dealer did not fully honor the current Ford company incentive on the internet. They set up numbers on the final listing deal--and make it very confusing for buyer to sort out all the parts. First -- sales gives a paper offer-which has all the little numbers listed at bottom -- the part-- plus TTL-- turns out to be around one dozen more dealer add ons. Some questionable ones. Dealer says cash purchase would make the incentive total amount lower. They argue to convince you to buy on credit-even though you said you absolutlely want to pay cash. Eventually, we made the credit deal-which supposedly costs less, with a 90 day pay off--2 different area Ford dealers told us to do this. Currrent Ford deal on web is-zero percent APR, plus 1000 bonus cash. or up to 3000 back on the model we bought. At finance, the APR, which we did not need anyway was more than 5 percent. Not zero. The final car price was one 1000 dollars above the dealer phone offer. Dealer claimed that price was after a 2000 dollar rebate. dealer adds 55. dealer inventory tax, 150 doc fee, 61 registration and insurance. The final purchase process was very tedious and confusing. We signed up for internet bids to avoid all that--but had to go thru the sales office hassels anyway. The price of car was 1000 more than the dealer offer by phone. We did not get the official ford offer-- either 0 percent credit and 1000 cash -- or -- up to 3000 cash back. we were coerced into a credit deal. Sales told us to pay off in 3 months -- to have little credit cost on deal. we wound up with more than 5 percent interest-not the zero percent offered by ford. We say this dealer does not honor his own verbal phone offer-does not honor the Ford offered incentive deals now. the credit sheet is confusing- and varies in details from the sales sheet. Although the final numbers are the same; the content listings are different. Then, the dealer keeps all the "incentive" cash amount- but we paid sales tax on that part too. This is all questionable and confusing to a buyer. Our opinion--If you think to buy from westway-- take an attorney expert in fiancial deals with you. beware!

Buyer Beware!

by mastec3 on 05/17/2010

We recently went to Westway Ford to purchase an Expedition they had on their pre-owned sales lot. We were told it had been through a pre-sale check and was ready to go. On the 4 block test drive, everything seemed fine. That quickly changed on the way home. First, the check engine light came on. (We were told that this was caused by an oxygen sensor and if we returned the car after thirty day, they would fix it.) Then, at 70 mph, the steering wheel started to shake. We got to a stop light and the engine started making a terrible noise when it idled. And I think the final straw was when I stopped at a drive-thru to get my kids some food and the window wouldn't roll back up. Of course it was raining. Needless to say, I returned the car the next day. I was made every promise in the world that the vehicle would be fixed to my expectations and redelivered to me in better condition. If it had been properly inspected and repaired before the sale, I wouldn't need to return it and wait for them to fix it. I completely lack confidence in this dealership's ability to not only keep their word, but also sell a reliable vehicle. I am very fortunate that I caught this the next day, instead of a month later when I would have been stuck with an absolute lemon. My advise if you do plan to purchase a vehicle from this dealer is to take it to a private mechanic to be checked out. We will never return to this dealer.

Stay Away From Westway Ford If You Value Your Life

by mclinton on 03/12/2008

Stay clear of [violative content deleted] at Westway ford - my [violative content deleted] was Maria Spaeth - who told me that all their used vehicles go thru a 140 point eval before they can resell them. We were asked to test drive the car in the parking lot as it was out of gas and it was such a hassle to get some. Maria showed us a form that said we had 10 days grace if there was anything wrong just let her know. Trusting her we took what she said as if she ment it and it were true. We called her on day 2 and basically she was like it's not my prob anymore and I can't help you. She put an innocent baby at risk by her lies. Don't let her [violative content deleted] jepordize your familys safty.
