Central Kia of Irving, Texas

by superstar78 on 06/08/2015

I just bought a new Kia Soul and couldn't have been happier with Kristyn Hallowell who helped us, whom I now can call a "friend"! She was very personable and knowledgeable about the car. She answered every question or if she didn't know she found out! She followed up with me to make sure I was happy a week after I bought the car. Now that is going the extra mile. I love my new SOUL!!!

6 mths and still happy

by oshomar on 06/13/2014

So I purchased my Sedona in November of 2013, and to this day I am still quite pleased with the whole experience as well as my vehicle. I'm not a soccer mom, but a Karate mom and my kids are just as ecstatic as I am. All I can say is thank you Herman Mansel for all your help and advise! You are blessing to me and my family, thank you!

Friendly, professional and relentless in finding you a good deal

by JoePauley on 03/06/2014

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Central Kia of Irving. This is the third vehicle I have purchased from them, and between the friendliness of all of their staff, their "customer first" attitude and the professionalism of people like my salesman, Jeff W., they have a customer for life! I had purchased a new vehicle from Jeff last year, and he remembered my financial situation and what I was looking for in a vehicle then. He did the best he could for me at the time, but he also recognized an opportunity to get me into a nicer car at the same payment now. He called me, we talked some and I filled out a new credit application, then Jeff went to work for me. He found me an amazing deal on an Optima Hybrid EX, and I could not be happier. Also, "Miss B" in finance is always a joy. She makes the typical drudgery of signing all the paperwork and finalizing the deal into a wonderful and fun experience, and takes the time to make her customers feel special. Just an overall fantastic car buying experience. I highly recommend Central Kia of Irving!

Central Kia and Renee' F. = Smooth Purchase

by Michael_H_DTX on 10/07/2013

I wasn't planning on purchasing a new car, but spotted one that caught my eye. A very patient and helpful Renee' F. spent most of the day on test drives and working with me to get me into the car I wanted. These guys are very helpful, friendly, and low pressure. I highly recommend Central Kia and Renee' F.!

Started Okay But Ended Up Unhappy

by alfred82 on 06/17/2010

My wife and I were looking for a family vehicle. Our salesman approached us and directed us to the Kia Sorento. We had to explain several times to our salesman and the sales manager we were not ready to buy that very moment we just wanted to look and possibly test drive. That was annoying to say the least. We decided to return to Central Kia the following day and go through with the purchase. They gave us an offer and we agreed but they were reluctant to tell us the monthly cost over the phone. The process was long as we expected but when we went to pick up the SUV we wanted to purchase apparently it had been sold the day before (sounded kind of shady then). The salesman said he had the same vehicle in stock which I found to be true and we went ahead and purchased. When we were trying to find out the monthly payment for the total purchase price that was agreed we couldn't get a straight answer. Thankfully my wife had her smartphone which had a loan calculator application that we used. It turned out they had tried to inflate the monthly payment by about $75. We were not happy at the time but decided to let it go since we had already invested so much time for this vehicle. A couple of days went by and I recieved a call from the salesman explaining that all of the paperwork that was signed had the incorrect VIN number on it. I was not pleased but I understood how that could happen. I had to take time out to go and sign the correct documentation and was told I would receive notification when my state issued license plates were in. A couple of weeks went by and I received a card stating to come in to have my plates installed on my new vehicle. I made a quick trip over to the dealership and was told my plates weren't at that dealership (the same one that I purchased the said vehicle). Needless to say I was disappointed as I did not have the time to drive to the other dealership across town. I wish that was noted on the notice I recieved but found it was nowhere to be found. I called the other dealership and explained I would rather them ship the plates to me and I would put them on myself. I was told they would send them and left it at that. It just so happened we were waiting for other plates for our other vehicle which we didn't realize would arrive so soon. Those showed up about a week after my phone call with the other dealership. As soon as I recieved these plates I slapped them on the new vehicle without noticing these were for our other car. Needless to say the Central Kia never shipped my plates. A couple of months went by without us noticing the error until my wife received a citation from an officer stating that the plates on the vehicle did not belong to the new Kia. At the moment we were baffled. But then we figured we should call the dealership and check if they had our plates. Sure enough they did and had them shipped overnight. I spoke with the salesman and explained the situation. He stated Central Kia was not at fault but it was pretty obvious they never mailed the plates. I decided to pay the citation and never do business with Central Kia again. All of the hassels although may be considered small were just not worth the time in the end. It was a clear indication of how that business is run and shows they are very unorganized. I was also unhappy that not one person offered to go above and beyond to right the wrong.

Don't go to this dealership

by rlaneaux on 04/05/2010

Thought I purchased a Kia Soul on March 13,2010.Dealership tried to talk me into trading in 2005 nissian sentra I only owe $3,000 on it. I would not trade it in. They acted as though they wanted my business so they told me they would pay off the sentra and I would keep the car. The soul was $16,000 (2010) when they finished the paper work it was $23,000 give or take this was also with the payoff of my Nissian included. weeks later Nissian begin to call about the payment (monthly) I called Kia no one answered I continued to get tranferred to voicemail afetr voice mail. I called my Salesman he no longered worked there. I finally days later got finance on the line and asked if everything was ok I was told that the loan was approved and everything was fine. a week later on today I was asked to bring the car back. to much avail all of the old staff was fired or let go whatever is politically correct the gentleman also, stated that he did not see where my car was to be paid off. He could not give me a reason for the loan not being approved first he stated he found a bank that wanted $3,ooo down mind you I paid $1,ooo down then he stated on a later call that it my have something to do with the auto loan that I had opened. the one that they was suppose to pay off. PLEASE don't waste your time with this company.

I was looking for a kia sedona, looked at this dealership;s online add, said they had used sedona's (no picture of two of them said they were out for a wash),the miles posted on line ranged from around 2000 next around 36.000 and last 46,000.when i called i was told thay had all of them and come look, when i arrived ,i had a franklin gonzalez as salesman,he showed me the van with 46,000 i did not want that many miles (these were 2008 modles),i wanted to look at the lowest one ,then i had 2 other men have to come talk to me trying to tell me i should buy a new one, i wanted to look at the one with 2000miles,all 3 men told me they were in the repair shop and the doors were locked and they did not have keys, and come back the next day,i went back the next day (at open time and was told one car was sold and the other shiped to the other sw kia),when i called the other van was shiped to the other central kia, called the other central kia did not get asedona vans ship to them. (btw, after i visited this dealership the first day and was told that the van was locked up in the repair shop "awating inspection",i looked back on line and ,much to my suprise the vans were removed from their web site,,when i call them that night to ask about it ,imagine NO ONE KNEW OR COULD TELL ME HOW THEY WERE REMOVED.) i feel like this dealer did not really have the other two vans,in the first place, the sales were rude, made me wait like 4 hours to see vans that they did not have avaliable, this dealership is a rip off,( i even called mide jeffus and was hung up on).so i went to [another dealership],and bought a 2008 kia from that dealer.

We had the privilege of meeting one of your salesmen

by shujon on 04/18/2009

On Friday February 20 2009 after visiting 3 other dealerships in Dallas my wife and I visited Central Kia. We had the privilege of meeting one of your salesmen. He not only showed us a New Kia he sold us on the car. His humor and personable manner were delightful but it was his informative knowledge that made him so outstanding. He expounded on the safety features of the vehicle as well as many of the other selling features. We walked out knowing details about the car that were not obvious with just a test drive. It was his informative presentation his genial personality and his attention to detail that brought us back to your dealership Saturday to purchase the Optima. We want you to know what a fantastic salesman he is. In addition the helpful advice and hard work of Finance Department made this experience pleasurable even though we still have to pay for the car.

WARNING! WARNING! STOP AND MAKE A BETTER DECISION

by gdblab on 12/03/2008

One of my family members went to puchase a vehicle and was tricked into giving them my social security number and personal information in hopes I would co-sign. At this time, my family member instructed the sales person not to run my credit because they have not spoken with me. Without any verbal or written consent they not only ran my credit, but advised her of my credit score. When I found out about this violation of my privacy, I called to speak with a manager and was repeatedly hung up on because I was informing them what happened to me and how this should have never taken place without my knowledge. Even the (GENERAL MANAGER) hung up on me after he advised me the sales person called me and that I gave permission - WHICH AT THIS TIME I ADVISED HIM THAT THAT WAS A LIE. NOT ONLY DID THEY COMMIT A PRIVACY LAW AGAINST ME - THEY THEN MADE NO APOLIGIES FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE, BUT TOOK NO RESONSIBILITY NOR CARED IN HOW THEY AFFECTED ME AS A PERSON AND As A CONSUMER OR MY CREDIT SCORE. THESE [violative content deleted] ARE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS BECAUSE THEY ARE PRIVATLY OWENED BY TWO PEOPLE AND THEY ONLY SELL THE KIA PRODUCT. KIA HAS NO AUTHORITY OVER THEM HERE IS THE KIA CONSUMER [violative content deleted]. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

False adds

by rgordon1 on 11/14/2008

The web site said we could buy a car for $13000 and that they payed off your trade even if its worth $15000 less then you owe. After going in they tell us that they pay off your trade and roll the diff. into your new loan... by the way the $13000 car was only for people that were active military, a current kia owner with a 700+ credit score. so there adds are for less then 5% of the population total joke salesman smoked while showing us a car total low class place do not Go!!!! ohh yeah they called me 5 times after we left once after i straight said do not call me anymore.

[violative content deleted] dealership

by jeanied on 10/28/2008

I don't even know where to start to describe the horrible experience of buying a vehicle from this dealership. I found the vehicle I wanted on the internet in the used car inventory of Central Kia of Irving. I talked to Amanda and she invited me to come in and drive the vehicle, which I did. They jumped the price up almost a thousand dollars...and was very sneaky trying to get it by me. They agreed to pay half of the tax title and license fees, but when I went to sign the papers, they had put the whole amount into the contract...and was very sneaky trying to get that past me.....rushing the paperwork to be signed and saying oh that is just saying that you agree to terms, etc...you don't have to read it....they promised to detail the car and fill it with gas, they did not do either. They pressure you to take the extended warranty and lied about that ...told me it was for ten years and a hundred thousand miles, when actually it was for thirty six months and ninty thousand miles...four months after I had bought my car I was still unable to get a copy of the extended warranty paperwork despite repeated calls to the dealership. I decided to cancel the extended warranty and wanted a refund. Richard who said he was in charge, was rude, obnoxious about what I would expect from this dealership that practices very unethical if not illegal sales techniques. Stay away from them they are lethal and just not worth all of the hell they put you through.

DON'T DO IT

by mla71 on 10/13/2008

I bought a car from this dealership and after 6 weeks of HELL trying to get my licenses plates the dealership finally realized that the paperwork had the wrong vin#. The Vin # on the paperwork was for a complete different vehicle. I signed the new paperwork but still have not received my license plate. I am currenlty working on my 6 paper plate. After all the trouble the dealership has put me through not once have they ever offered me anything from a free oil change to a dinner on them. I highly recommend either going to another dealership or not buying a car. I think the Edmunds.com company should change there rating because this dealership does not even deserve a 1 rating. I will give them a 1 rating but my opinion it should be a negative rating.

Bait & Switch

by jcalvillo3 on 03/22/2008

I suggest never to walk in this Kia of Irving Dealership. Friday morning I happened to go on their website and found a sales add for a new 07 Rio, called it (BlowOUT Sale) I sent in an email request and received a call from Amanda and I asked her if they still had the car and she said yes and that they would be running this sale till March 26th. When I got there, of course they gave me another salesman, who took about 20 minutes to talk to us. I told him I wanted to buy the car that was on sale for $5887 - after looking like a lost puppy for another 1/2 hour of walking to the front to the back and back to the front of parking lot, looking for this car. He says " oh you want that car, that car does not have air conditioning" I told him, that is not what you advertised. So we went into the office and I was switched from one mgr. to another to another and finally I asked them to give me a computer with internet access, I showed him the special on the web page, then he stated " yea, but it is a mistake, because it is not in our inventory. I clicked over to inventory and found it for him, there too. So then I got sent over to business manager, he took us to his office, we are at 2 hrs now. He said corporate always screws up and throws stuff in there, that they don't tell them about, so he tells me, I got another sales guy to help you, that car does not have A/C so we will put you in one that does and I will work with you with that price. We take test drive and fill out paper work and they come back with $12,000 price and I told them I wanted the advertised price and they told me, we can get you a better deal on the Spectra, but that's it. They did not know anything about the $5887 car, and the businness mgr. and sales guy walked out of the office and had nothing else to say. When I got home to print web site deal, the website for (new car specials)was shut down and still is today.

Central Kia of Irving Finance Rep was a [violative content deleted]!!!

by dkats on 03/01/2008

I just purchased a used vehicle from here because I desperately needed a car that I could afford. Sales rep was nice but did not say the exact sales price of car just said it was around 9-10k. They knew I could not afford much and preyed upon me and my lack of negotiating skills. I even had a friend with me but we didn't get a lot of straight answers. The finance guy totally tried to pull one over on me and my friend. I specifically told him that I did NOT want extended warranty or gap insurance but he put both on the buyers order and did not discuss them at all. It wasn't until I had the key in hand and demanded my paperwork (which they were not going to give me--should have been a clue something was wrong at that time...) before I left that a MAJOR scam was noticed! My daughter came up to the dealership to make sure everything was okay since the math didn't seem to be adding up right. She noticed the ext warr and gap ins that added almost $3000 to the price which is why the payments were so much higher than I anticipated and I even had to finance for longer. We demanded to speak to the finance guy who claimed he told me all of this and that I agreed to it WHEN I DID NOT! We had him cancel the warranty and gap insurance immediately!!! He didn't even apologize. He definitely knew what he was doing and purposely tried to scam me. Thankfully he was caught before I left the lot with the car and I was able to get copies of the cancellation of the ext warr and gap ins. If I had to do it over again I would CERTAINLY NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER!

Worst experience ever, don't go there.

by reza753 on 12/30/2007

I have called this dealership to find a 2007 Kia Sorento. Some lady named Jessica answered me and assured me that they have several 2007 Sorrento's available and I should come take a look at them. I have asked her to please call me after checking their list of cars available, just to make sure before going to that dealership from Allen. She called me within 15/20 min. and verified that they have several 2007 Sorrentos available in their lot. I have requested her to keep the list of 2007 Sorrento's handy, so when we get there we can just look at the SUV rightaway. Upon arrival to the dealership, another sales person came over, when I have asked for Jessica, he went inside and comeback saying that he will help me with all the information. After walking the whole parking lot for half an hour, he finally admits me that they do not have any 2007 Sorrento and if I would be interested to purchase a Sedona since he can offer me a good incentive on that. I told him that I went there to purchase a 2007 Sorrento not a Sedona. I wanted to speak with a Manager to let them know about this false information incident. I came to the front desk/information desk and asked for a manager. Some guy named Sammy DeLa Cerda came to the front and take me to his cube. I try to tell him what happened, without any apology or try to resolve the situation, he asked me to leave the dealership. That was very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. He said he did not like my tone of the voice. I have asked him is this how you treat your customers and is this how you bring your customers to buy cars from you? He did not like my tone...because he knew exactly what they do. I wish I have read the reviews before calling them. If you search google you will find several complaints like this. They all matches with similar types of comaplints. This was one of the worst experience ever. I have bought two new cars before (Toyota and Nissan Maxima) had good experience. I will not suggest anyone (my friends, family, co-workers etc.) to this dealership. It was a disrespectful, disgrace and the most insulted experience ever.

Most rude experience I've ever received from a dealership.

by dlynnnichols on 12/27/2007

We contacted this dealership via internet on a Friday, spoke to one lady who claimed we're approved and that we needed to come in and speak to her, bring our documents, etc. Upon arrival the next morn, we were abruptly greeted at the door, we were rushed to a cubicle and told that this sales guy would speak to us instead. I still asked for the lady, as we were told by a so-called manager that she was working in the back, she finally came forth, and said that she's explained to this guy what we need, and he'll help us. Reluctantly, we attempted to talk to him, after a few questions, we realized he knew nothing about our situation. We feel that the lady misrepresented the dealership to us. We feel the manager was rude and unprofessional, as well as the sales rep. And, the sales rep even stated we could leave if we wanted to. We were told that WE were uncooperative, and that they couldn't help us. And, that WE had attitude. We had stated to the lady that we simply needed a good reliable, economical vehicle as a second car for work. We had no money down, no trade in, and that our payments needed to be within a certain range. They knew our credit scores before we got there. So, I proceed to tell the manager that they are misrepresenting their willingness to help people. I told them that the day before, I was told, I was approved, that everything looked good, just bring your proof of income, insurance, etc. that everything is fine, that they had several used cars that would help us out. But, now that we've driven all across the metroplex and gotten there 1st thing in the morning as they opened, you now can't help me if I don't have money down, or trade in, or I have to afford a much higher payment. The manager insisted that we leave the store. We never raised our voices, nor were we rude in anyway. I asked to speak to the general manager. I was told that no one was available, and that we needed to leave the store immediately. He had given his business card previously. So, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this gentleman, and this dealership. I haven't received a response yet from the general manager of the dealership nor the owner. You simply don't treat people this way. We were so upset when we left, we talked about it and decided that we would try another dealership. During that afternoon, as we were watching TV, we saw a commercial about a dealership is South Dallas called Southwest Kia. We went online & did the online app again, and got a lady on the phone and was told the same thing. We were approved, etc. We never mentioned our earlier experience with Central Kia in Irving. Much to our surprise, we get to this dealership, and there was a world of difference. The sales reps were very patient and respectful of our decisions and where we stood. It took several hours of their superb marketing and sales skills....and then finally when we left that evening....we drove out of there not in one used vehicle, but TWO brand new vehicles. It's all how you talk to people and treat people. We even got to meet the owner of the dealership whom we had seen on the TV commercial. WOW!!! We highly recommend SouthWest Kia of Dallas @ I-20 & Hampton. Everyone there was very hospitable, polite, respectful, etc. Since then we were invited to a meeting with their Service & Maintenance department to go over the warrantly explanations, etc. Every encounter we've experienced was very professional and pleasant. We so sincerely warn people about the dealership in Irving called Central Kia on Hwy. 183 near Texas Stadium. They treat you like a number not a customer, they are rude, unprofessional, and very belittleling to people. They are very insulting and disgraceful. They lie and mispresent just to get you on the lot. They will say whatever they have to just to get you on the lot. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go there. Very disappointing experience....I've never been treated

Do NOT purchase here--BUYER BEWARE

by lorraine1203 on 09/20/2007

Do not purchase a car from this dealership...They are not to be trusted. Google Central Kia and you will be knocked out of your sock from the amount of complaints listed, take the time to read some of them. I was totally ripped of, be careful before signing. Be sure to get a copy of everything before walking out the door, do not let them tell you they will mail your contract to you. By then it will be too late, they would have added additional charges. I don't know which department is worst.. the sales department ( my salesman was Mark Jackson), or the finance department.
