Awesome experience with Dave and team!!

I spoke with the General Sales Manager, Brent, before coming in. He was really friendly and helpful! He got me connected with Dave who immediately sent me pics of the car I was interested in. I came in and was immediately greeted by Dave who had both vehicles I was interested ready for me to view and test drive. He made the entire process easy and enjoyable! He understood my needs and handled my trade with no issues. I left extremely satisfied in my new car!! I’d highly recommend Demontrond and Dave!!

As a first time car buyer, Jasmine made the experience very smooth and easy for me. She set me up with a Pre-Owned Certified 2015 VW CC for a very fair price. What a waste of time

I tried to lease a Passat from [non-permissible content removed]. So far all I've got lies and false promises. One of their sales associates called me and offered me a relatively better than what was offered during my first visit. I went back the day after only to find out they have changed their mind and the deal isn't what it appeared to be. I absolutely hate everyone at this dealerships. Manager, sales team, and the finance guy who has no knowledge about how leases work or whatsoever. It's a shocker that they are still in business. I feel bad for those poor people that are getting ripped by them everyday. I suggest please do your research, check and double check their numbers before you commit to a purchase with these guys. Better solution is just to avoid them.

Worst VW dealership in Houston

The demondtrond dealership , I can honestly say is the worst dealership in Houston tx ... I bought a 15 Jetta from them and ended up getting arrested because of their lack of attention to detail (The saleman forgot to put paper plates on the car) ... My next negative experience is with the service department.. 5months down the road (which is today) my Bluetooth goes out in a brand new car and then the service advisor (Daniel) wants to argue with me telling me that" he's been doing this since high school and I don't know what I'm talking about" ! This is insane! I'm so frustrated with Volkswagen because I really thought that I could really believe in the brand , with this being my first Volkswagen, but it looks like the brand and the dealership fall short every time!

I'm guessing the reviewers on this site work for the dealership. From the moment we walked into the dealership until the writing of this review two months later, I have had the worst car buying experience of my life. The sales manager lied, the salesman is weak and the service department is like watching a video of what not to do. I had cash on hand and wanted to purchase a car when I walked in. They didn't have the color I wanted, so the sales manager lied and said they'd have a new one in my color delivered from the port of Houston the next day. What he actually did was find the car in San Antonio and did a dealer trade. Not a big deal, why not be truthful? After being caught in their lie, they offered me an R-Type CC, an upgrade from the model we were considering. Went ahead and bought it. It has been two months since my purchase and the license plates have still not been delivered. I went by the dealership in person and asked the salesman to call me. He never did. Poor customer service and [non-permissible content removed]. If you go here, blame yourself after you read this and went anyway.

The service department was the bad. The service management was no good and did nothing to fix the problem The General Manager was the same way. What a joke of a service department.

Pleasant Experience

I truly appreciated our salesman Jeff M. He took his time with us and explained all of the bells and whistles. There was no pressure which is the thing I hate the most about buying a car. Jeff is pleasant and friendly and took care of us from start to finish.

Dealership who understands how to treat customers right!

Having searched for a new lease vehicle for four months where I live, interested in what I'd heard was a great car in a VW. After spending four days trying to get the local VW dealership to get real on pricing, my salesman was good but his sales manager was playing games with tax credits and pricing, and I was fed up with local folks not wanting to lease me a 2013 car which they could have done, and then their price on a 2014 was limited to two colors, which became one color, and it was not the one I wanted and it did not have the backup camera I wanted. Disappointed with the VW folks here, and decided to go towards Houston. Thought maybe I was heading for a Ford. Started with Navasota but that wasn't far away enough, so found one dealership in Houston near Woodlands and made an inquiry. Their internet person was slow to respond, didn't have the incentive to try and follow up timely. Now I had tried close to locally to look at a Ford in Navasota, and I'd made an appointment to test drive a car. Got there and the 2 they had that were 2013's had dead batteries and they had not charged them, so I figured out they didn't want me to buy those. Then they were going to make me a price quote on a 2014 and I said "look, no games, no take a piece of paper and draw the four squares with a price that's not right. They brought back a piece of paper with four squares and then circles drawn around all the squares and two others stood back and laughed as I saw the 'circled squares' around a very inflated price. I smiled and left nicely, and they were just so disappointing. I felt foolish and not as a valued customer. I decided to forget about Ford. Thought about the VW again and started near the Woodlands. Made an internet inquiry from one place and did not get a timely follow up after initial contact. When they did contact me, the price was not good and the salesman's attitude was pretty cold, almost insulting. Didn't feel valued . Three strikes and I was resigned to renting my lease car for another year until I could find the right dealership. Out of inspiration though, I'd remembered the DeMontrond name from The Woodlands for other car brands years ago, and checked online to see if they had a VW dealership. Glad to find they did. Not expecting much, I was very happy when I received a call within 5 minutes of sending in an inquiry about a model that I was hoping to make work for my budget. Jeff M. called me and I can't explain or express this effectively enough--without a face-to-face meeting, he seemed genuinely interested in finding exactly the car I wanted in the color I wanted and keeping within my budget that I'd set to spend. When I arrived at the dealership, the exact car I wanted to try was ready for me to test drive, and there was air in the tires. The difference in Jeff M. and the other four salesman and dealerships I had interacted with was that 1) he took me seriously, 2) treated me with respect, 3) knew every nuance of the car I had thought I wanted, 4) stayed exactly with the exact price he'd quoted me before I drove over there, 5) didn't pressure me at all, and 6) I bought the car before I left the dealership that day, even though I couldn't take it home yet (had to release my other lease car) and 7) he had a good suggestion about how I could handle the old lease car drop-off in Houston and he'd come pick me up at their dealership. I was so blown away by the difference in DeMontrond at this point. When I came back to pick up my car he introduced me to his sales manager who thanked me for my business, and he introduced me to his F&I manager, Lupe, who made the process of leasing this vehicle of my dreams the easiest possible procedure in this, the 5th car I've leased in the past 2 decades. I left the dealership feeling like my business actually mattered to 3 people, and that I was treated with respect and not as just another person buying a car. What struck me as different was that everyone in the dealership (not waiting on me) seemed happy to be there. The building was new and the lot had plenty of cars to choose from but the one I wanted was right there so I didn't have to look around. I went back and reviewed a quote I'd received for a lesser 2013 Honda that was not my choice of car color and it was only $60 more per month to have a 2014 car of my dreams in the exact color I wanted with more extras and special features of connectivity than I would have ever had, plus I felt valued, which is much more important at this point in my car-buying process. It was the night-and-day better difference for me. Cars are a very precious purchase. You see what you bought every day and you feel good about what you're driving or you don't. I'm proud to have the DeMontrond tag on my car. It's going to be there for many cars to come in the future. I already know that much. Had I not had three bad car shopping experiences before, had I not felt so demoralized that I would not have found what I'd hoped to find, and that I'd just have to settle for whatever was on a lot and hoped someone would play fair with me, I was not expecting what I found...and it was good enough to spend time writing this review so that maybe as you're looking for a car, you'll know that the 'old way' of doing business, on a handshake, keeping your word and giving customers a reason to share good news...it still exists.

The ease that Jeff M. (online sales) helped me (64 years young) to navigate the world of car shopping to my great joy! He and the entire DeMontrond staff respectfully helped me navigate the selection, financing options, and all those necessary and scary parts of selecting a new car. When I'm ready to make my purchase, it will definitely be through Jeff and his team at DeMontrond!
