Dishonest, Deceptive, Bait & Switch. Stay Away!

by AB on 08/27/2022

I purchased a luxury car from Grubbs infinity (Grubbs Family of Dealerships) on 6.15.2022 it’s been disappointing, dishonest & deceptive, I've been bait & switched. First, we negotiated the car selling price from the advertised price of $54K to $51,800 after I negotiated with Robert & Chris Stiles, we agreed to the trade value of my car of $28,580, which meant they should have sold me the car for $51,800 & use the positive equity of my trade of $5300 as a down payment which would reduce it to $46,500, but what they did instead they inserted the positive equity of my trade into it, I didn't agree to it. My trade value was $28,580 & the payoff was $23,200 approx. which means I'd have about $5300 to apply towards the negotiated sales price of the $51,800, the agreement was NOT $51,800 after the trade. I wouldn't agree to it after the trade because it would actually raises the price to be more than the advertised car price of 54K instead of reducing it. At the finance department, I asked again why they switched the numbers around, they said they need to do it to make it work but that it wouldn't make a difference for me. When I asked the finance manager Arya why the positive equity of the trade was added to the price & not deducted, he said again it’s just a way for them to do the numbers, that was dishonest. After the sale, there was no one to talk to, I keep getting the run-around. Both the salesperson & manager said there that there is a fee that I had to pay $1795 (by me) for a multipoint inspection & the fee would be for all the nicks externally & internally, they specifically said "since they were paid to do so" they'd go back to the repair team & have them fix it. I trusted that promise & Based on what they said, but now they are not honoring it. Additionally, we agreed that they'd: Tint all the windows, Buff Rear Bumper & detail the whole car inside & out, & buff the center console to remove scratches, they said they would fix the nicks & cuts in the leather & touch up paint chips inside & out. This is still outstanding. Additionally, they refused to provide me with the floor mats I specifically was told by the salesperson that it was in the back, & when I went to transfer my stuff from the old car to the new car the mats were not there, this is also misleading & dishonest. Additionally, the USB isn't working, I can't even charge my phone or plug a GPS & the hooks are broken in the back lift of the trunk, when I asked the salesperson if there was anything wrong with the car prior to the sale, he said NO! Lots of omissions, deception & unethical practices. It's been over two months now, & still no resolution, no one to talk to. After trying multiple times to get it resolves, calling, emailing, & even elevating it to a manager it hasn't been resolved, when I left a review to caution others, I received an email threatening that I won't receive service until the review was removed. After multiple backs & forth they told me to come in & that they would address all the issues, but this was again dishonest, all they did is wash the car & tinted the windows, they did NOT fulfill the will owe & lied to me about it when I asked if it was all addressed. In fact, there was more damage caused & panels were broken on the inside, they sprayed painted the inside of the car with white spray & didn’t address what was promised. I've been bullied, misled, & my time is wasted, I’m still left hanging, I’ve emailed multiple times & sent pictures of evidence & they’re not resolving the issue, they continue to ignore it. The manager doesn't even respond to the emails, this has caused stress & anxiety, & hours are spent trying to resolve it. I hope no one else needs to go through this.

NOT A TRUSTWORTHY DEALERSHIP

by Fraudulent Dealership on 10/19/2020

I purchased a QX60 from Grubbs INFINITI. I was told by Matt Peck, who is a straight up [non-permissible content removed], that this vehicle was a I driver vehicle, driven by Ms.Grubbs. Well,a couple of days later I found loaner car agreements from several different people. So it wasn't a one driver vehicle but a loaner vehicle they sold me. I was looking at loaner vehicles with much lower prices elsewhere.I decided to purchase this vehicle from information given it me, which turned out to be a lie!! I tried to reach out to management,no response. So they scammed me! This is a dealership with no morals at all! I have all txt messages and I record all my calls, so I have proof they lied to make a sale. Run as fast as you can from this dealership!!!

Raza and the whole dealership took amazing care of me. I was amazed at how this dealership and Raza go above and beyond to make you feel taken care of and special. I will be back and will not hesitate to refer friends and family.

Great to deal with!

by Avenger on 12/08/2016

Everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional. They had a no pressure approach towards me and even financed the car at a better rate than my credit union. AWESOME!

Not your typical sales technique

by raynge2000 on 10/01/2012

I had a very pleasant experience with Grubbs. Not your typically cut-throat negotiation tactics, came with a fair trade-in to begin with. I compare this with experience with Crest and I ended up with the same deal at both places but a lot smoother experience at Grubbs. These folks are your no nonsense type dealer and they focus on a lot of customer satisfaction apparently. My sales person even though she is relatively new she was much better then any sales folks I've dealt with.

Respectable business

by susluc on 07/26/2011

Everything about the experience was great. My sales rep was respectful of our time with having 2 kids and another on the way. It seemed like the salesman went above and beyond what I had experienced at other dealerships.

Price Inquiry G37 Convertible

by kentmoss on 07/14/2011

There is a national lease offer from Infiniti: with an initial payment of $2908 down + 1st payment of $519 + TTL + Options @$519/month. The dealer quoted $8,000 initial payment and $607/month. When I copied and pasted the national offer in an email response to them, they came back with $4,000 down and $607/month. Get real.

Price Quote - G37 Convertible

by denny0711 on 07/03/2011

Price quote was quick/responsive and was the best (lowest) of the 3 Infiniti dealerships, at least on paper. Came in and took test drive, overall fairly good experience. Dealer pricing was good but not where I needed to be. Dealer did not further try to entice/seal the deal after we came in for a test drive by offering better deal than via e-mail, which was a detractor and could have possibly made a difference in our decision., as we bought a car that very day from a competitor dealership. After letting the dealership contact know that we decided on a different model car, I detected a bit of 'sour grapes' in the response which I felt was made for us to feel 'buyer's remorse' (however it did not have the desired effect !!). Simply not necessary, especially if future business is desired. They were simply not able to compete on price for a similarly equipped competitor model car that, while having a less HP engine, really drove smoother and had a better overall feel to us. Deal was far superior as well.

inventory inquiry

by photeg on 08/31/2010

I was looking for a specific G37 sedan and asked all three dealerships if they would quote what I was looking for. Grubbs took the longest to get back to me and said they could not find what I was looking for.

Worst dealership I heve ever dealt with

by akqj10 on 04/14/2010

In the market to replace a totaled car, I found a new 2009 G37 coupe at Grubbs that was advertised with a 2009 closeout price. I contacted a salesman through the internet chat. After a couple of days of questions I told the salesman on Thursday we would come to look at the car on Saturday (we live a distance away). Friday I get an email saying the car had been sold. I then contacted Sewell about a similar car. They gave me the same discount and held the car so we could see and, eventually, buy it. I wrote Mr. Grubbs a letter complaining about my experience and was basically told I did not know how they do business. They do not hold cars with a special price, they only hold cars with a deposit and they only hold them one day. None of this was ever relayed to me by the salesman. To add insult to injury, Mr. Grubbs also said that they did us a favor in letting us know the car was sold instead of letting us drive all the way over there on Saturday. Buy your Infiniti from Sewell. It is much more professional.

Treat you right.

by dsavage411 on 08/17/2009

Although I am still under warrant, I still get the oil and tires changed at Grubbs. They get you in and out and the car always looks nice. A fresh wash. Inside, they have a great coffee and most of the time have something to eat. They have been good to me. A little on the pricey side but that is to be expected I guess from a dealership.

Wonderful Experience, Customer for Life. Internet Store Outstanding

by scurlockjr on 09/15/2007

After researching several vehicles decided on a G35 Journey Sedan. There were closer dealerships (live north of Dallas), but after phone and in-person visits to them was less than thrilled. I sent an email to the Grubbs Internet store and received an immediate response, and began working with Ralph on finding that dream car. I was quite specific in the car requested - certain features and a specific external/internal color combination. Grubbs did not have one meeting those specs on the lot, but Ralph was able to find one and have it brought up from a dealer outside the DFW metroplex. The cost for the car was outstanding, Ralph and the sales team made me feel welcome, and they also found financing at a much better rate than my own bank was able to provide. 72 hours after taking delivery of the new vehicle it was involved in auto accident and totaled. To take that kind of a hit and walk away speaks volumes of the safety of the car, but that's for another post : ) Ralph went above and beyond in assisting me in replacing the totaled car. He had me in another car, with the same options/color combo as requested before withing 24 hours of notice that the car had been totaled. The dealership helped in the transfer of extended warranties, etc. from the old to the new, and made what could have been an absolute nightmare of an experience into quite a pleasant afternoon. Grubbs Infiniti has earned a customer for life.
