Stay far away!!!

by Stay away on 08/18/2022

THEY KEEP DELETING MY COMMENTS! Stay away!!!! By far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Sales manager is [non-permissible content removed]. I had a ‘20 F150 nearly loaded and they “appraised” my truck at $30k!!! 😂 gtfo of here with that. (They can’t “appraise for top dollar” because they use a “buy bid” system. They take your vin and have other dealers bid on it. You’ll never get what you want.) He said idk why you are surprised, it’s a base model truck with no options….. I asked who’s truck they appraised, because it sure the hell wasn’t mine. They left then came back and the number never changed. They tried hiding my trade value in some other numbers. Lied about the gladiator price. He said well we appraise off fair condition. It doesn’t matter the condition of your vehicle. So then I pulled fair condition value up and it was still at $34k. He said The gladiators price is only good if you use their financing at 9.9% what!?!? He straight told me, well it’s a great deal for poor people. It doesn’t work for you but it does for a lot of other people. Who says that??? That’s not fair for anyone! When I asked the price if I went with different financing, the price increased by $5900. They took almost three hours to get me numbers then tried railroading me as if I wouldn’t catch what they were doing. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Horrible Zero Stars

by 3bugsmom on 07/25/2017

Zero Stars. I was there tonight wanting to learn more about a Jeep Wrangler. A gentleman named " Mo" got a key and let me sit in one. I explained I was looking to lease a sport line since it had the highest residual value... with in the next week, In the middle of asking a question he handed me a card and said " well you know how to contact me" and ran off to another customer. SERIOUSLY! How on earth do you do business like that. Repulsive. So disrepectful. I will take my business elsewhere.

Bait and Switch Part Deux

by jimkwalton on 11/11/2016

I went on their website to set appointment for recall on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. While on the website they advertised new vehicles, including a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab along with $17,000 rebates/discounts. I called their internet sales number and talked to Erin. I asked specifically if the VIN number in the ad was eligible for the $17,000 discounted price. She said yes. I told her I would be there in 15 minutes. When I got there, someone else took over. The vehicle had not even been located. It was 5 miles away in a storage lot. After going to pick it up and driving it back to the dealership, I was then told that this particular vehicle was NOT eligible for the discount but these other ones were. Instead of an $18,000 price tag, it was going to be $28,000. I told them you do this on purpose to get people to come waste time in the dealership. As upset as I was, I told them to split the difference. They would not. Other than getting my airbag recalled fixed, I will never deal with the people at Grapevine Chrysler Dodge. And as always, the salesman never could make a decision. He always had to walk off and get permission from some manager. I hate to say this dealership is the worst, but it was almost typical. Bait and switch, lie to me on the phone to get me to come in, won't honor their word, won't deal.

Deceptive Sales Practices - will not honor advertised price

by unhappydad on 06/23/2016

Stereotypical used car salesmen. Don't believe the advertised pricing. Just as other have reported, the dealership will not honor the advertised price. They will require additional warranty and/or other options that for me amounted to an additional $3342 on an advertised $16991 Jeep. I wanted to pay cash (advertised price +TLL). Sounded simple to me. But they refused. Stay away unless you are prepared to pay an extra 20%.

Pretty awesome

by JDwrangler on 09/28/2015

I just purchased a used vehicle from here after comparing prices and going to a handful of dealerships all around DFW. I was very impressed with my personal salesman, William Kendrick. He was a great help and negotiated with me until we agreed upon a good price. I had a a great experience, had all of my questions answered honestly and promptly and got exactly what I went in looking for.

Mis-representation

by RichardM64 on 11/30/2014

My wife and I decided to visit this dealership, specifically because they had a vehicle listed that met my wife's criteria... and I liked the price. Arriving at the dealership we were met by a "child" who possessed little product knowledge. Locating the vehicle we had found in the website, we discovered that the price was $16,000 more than as advertised. I checked the VIN from both the vehicle and the website and discovered they were one and the same. I asked the "child" about the price discrepancy. He proceeded to inform us that he'd only been on the job 3 weeks and he would et the manager to explain. The manager ("John") is probably the slimiest most deceptive sales person I have met in a long time - exacerbating the general public perception of care salesmen. He told me that the website stated the vehicle was priced "plus dealer options", and that it stated such on the website. I couldn't find such a statement and when I asked him to find it, he proceeded to tell me that he would print the details off for me. Not sure what that has to do with having a different price on the vehicle in store and on the website. This dealership operate under a policy that is against the trade description practices act. I will be reporting them to the FTC, but in the meantime hope that others reading this take into consideration the manner, practices and ethics this company operate under. Happy car buying.

Above ALL of my Expectations... You will get the BEST deal In Texas here!!!

by matt71667 on 05/06/2014

I have no regrets or complaints with Grapevine Chrysler. They were quick, courteous and professional throughout the entire purchase process. No dealership tricks or salesman games at all. They were very straight forward and the salesman was very knowledgeable on the car. I could only hope everyone would have as good of an experience as I did with my purchase.

Bait Car Tactics

by ccuser on 03/29/2014

Beware of shady practice at this dealership. They operate with poor business practices My Experience, Bait car - They posted pre-owned an ad on multiple website at competitive price. When I called to check availability, they confirmed invited. I told em I will be coming from North Dallas, an hour commute. When I got there car was apparently already sold couple day ago. Salesman tried to hustle to sell other car that I wasn’t interested in. Why Avoid them? After the incident, I emailed them to share my experience, their director responded, claiming it was actually while I was on my way, a different narrative from what I was told when I was on lot. It has been over a week since this incident and car ad (Stock# AF014889) is still live on all websites. I called again, just to check, I was pitched the same line. My 2 cents... be aware of this dealership, poor business practice. I am taking time to share my experience so you can save yourself headaches... look for other dealer with better business practice. Thank you. P.S. @dealer, don’t bother contacting me.

Incompetent (commissioned?) service managers

by edmoncwheeler on 09/04/2012

Two times and you're out when it comes to servicing my 2 chryslers. 1st time, while getting regular oil and warranty service they tried to sell me a complete brake job when I had just had it done 3 months earlier on my Town and Country at an independent repair shop. Took it back and they showed my almost 3/8" pad left. 2nd time, I took my Crossfire convertible in with a letter from Chrylser Corp telling the dealer to replace the entire top and they argued with me saying it only covered re-gluing the rear window, Left and went to another dealer and they took care of me in one day, replacing the top. It's a shame you have to submit at least one star to submit a report. These people are arrogant!

Thanks Nona and Shawn

by tired_old_dave on 05/08/2012

Thanks Grapevine Jeep Thanks Nona and Shawn. Got our jeep wrangler back from service today. Everything is right with my world again. If you have a good service advisor and a good mechanic that work for a good guy like Jamie, life is a lot less complicated.

Don't buy from this dealer...

by texasconsumer on 01/03/2012

I reached out to the dealership online and heard back in a very quick time that the dealer had the vehicle I was interested in on-site and would I like to come out for a test drive. Although the dealer was 30 miles from my house, given the quick internet response, I felt obliged to give them an opportunity to win the business. Upon arrival, I was immediately met by a fairly knowledgeable, although a little in experienced salesman, who spent time personally walking me through the vehicle and showing me all the "bells and whistles." So far, so good! After a fairly thorough review of the vehicle, I asked to go on a test drive (which was my original intention for coming out to the dealer...at their request mind you). The response I received was it was the owner's policy to not allow test drives on this particular vehicle (Grand Cherokee SRT8) unless a deal on pricing has been agreed. My response was, while I am clearly interested in the vehicle, I was uncomfortable agreeing to a price until at least driving the vehicle. I also indicated I test drove a Range Rover Sport Supercharged the day before and a Cadillac Escalade earlier that morning, neither of which required me to agree to a price in advance of test driving. I am shocked to think a dealer would require a well qualified buyer, who made an appointment for a test drive, to agree to a deal prior to driving the vehicle. I should also mention, I have a master’s degree in business and am a partner in a big 4 accounting firm. I arrived to the dealer in a suit directly from my office. I suggest you find another dealer that isn't involved in unscrupulous business practices and doesn't pride itself on the "bait and switch."

Outstanding Service

by melissa47 on 12/26/2011

Awesome car buying experience. The people were very friendly, and courteous. Our salesman Bob Hocker was very knowledgable, and down to Earth. Chad Ivie was very supportive in getting us the best deal possible. The entire team was very dilligent in getting us in a vehicle we would be happy with. I would highly recommend Grapevine Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, and will continue to do business with them.

not a 5 star dealership

by cowboy20 on 08/05/2011

bought my 2008 Dodge diesel 2500 hd from these guys, had my truck serviced tru them half dozen times, twice resulting in the oxygen sensor going out each time costing me hundreds. the 2nd time just before a family reunion in Calf. pulling our 36ft 5th wheel, wife and 3 dogs. serviced 5 days prior trip, sensor went out, was told by service manager rusty they couldn,t fix it, was not his problem, put a piece of tape over it, would not hurt a thing, dodge redesigning the sensor. foolish me for believeing, truck brokedown as we headed into alb,nm. thank god for miller dodge in s Alb. took us in before they closed, it was the ox sensor, took us to KOA, brought me back after dropping off truck had it repaired and us on the road by 10am next day. to this date have never received a phone call of apology or to make amends, that day it was 114 degrees on I40. they are not a five star dealership call american dodge's 1-800 number to find out for yourself, the 5star sign is a hold over from the last owner. they are not even a 1 star.

Great Service Dept at Grapevine Chrysler Jeep

by pixie30 on 12/18/2009

I have had several experiences with this service department as this is the dealership I bought my Jeep Wrangler from. As a woman, it can be intimidating going in needing help. These guys have always been awesome! I've never been made to feel ignorant, even when I'm asking stupid questions. Things are explained to me until they (and I) are sure I understand what's going on and what exactly needs to be done. The service guys have never asked me to do additional work other than what needed to be done or what I came in to have fixed. Which is great not to feel pressured for additional work, and MONEY. My most recent experience was for my brakes. My boyfriend had suggested going to [a repair shop] to get them done. I knew they were in bad shape from the grinding sounds. We made an appointment, they had told him they could get it done the same day. When I got there, they said they didn't have those brake pads there and would have to keep it over night and would call me in the morning with their findings and hopefully be done by 10am. OK. I wasn't thrilled about this, but what else was I gonna do? I needed them fixed. The next morning we get a call.... the brakes aren't disengaging so the rotars need to be replaced, this is wrong, this is wrong, this needs to be replaced, this needs to be fixed. There was just a slew of things to be done. So what started as their $99 brake job, ended up with an estimate of $500. WHOA! We asked that they just replace the brake pads and be done, they refused saying they couldn't legally ONLY change the pads and put me back on the road in a dangerous vehicle. My boyfriend argued with them, and in the conversation the guy on the phone says "well we must be more concerned for your girlfriends safety than you are." Talk about angry, and unprofessional to say the least. He asked them to put it back together and we would come pick it up. Next was to call GCJ to see what I would be looking at timeframe and money wise. I spoke to Harvis Grammer and he said they had a deal with lifetime warranty and it was $199. I asked many questions on the phone, I'm sure he could tell I was worried about it being more. He said just to come in and they would take care of me. I also needed to go to work, and though it was a little out of their range he said he would be happy to get me a ride. When I got there, I told him of the [other shop] episode; he just shook his head and said I was the 2nd of their customers in that same morning. I got a call a few hours later to say that yes, the rotars were torn up from the front brakes. Harvis offered me 2 choices, 1. a $299 combo for brakes and rotars, mopar parts, lifetime warranty on the pads when they had to be replaced again I wouldn't have to pay for anything but the labor, 2. a $269 (I believe, maybe off a few dollars) combo from an aftermarket brand without the warranty. This was a no brainer. While $299 is still more than what I would have liked for it to be, it was still $200 cheaper than the other guys. When we went to pick up my jeep, Harvis was STILL there, he met with my boyfriend and explained to us what had happened. I asked about all those things JB said was wrong, and the only thing that was consistant was the rotars needing to be replaced. I was very pleased with the work, the timely manner it was done in and the professionalism in which it was all done. Something that stands out the most to me is that any time I have been given an estimate by this dept, it has never ended up being MORE. And lots of times, I've even paid less. Great job guys! And thank you!
