Do not purchase from this dealership

by EODblaster51 on 04/30/2024

I will not purchase from this dealer again. To begin with, it took over a week and a half for the salesman to get me a copy of my certified pre-owned paperwork. This was important because I drove the truck less than a week before it went into the shop for repairs. It blew injector number five within four days of my purchase. For some background, I bought a ZR2 with only 7,800 miles. I understand that failures happen, but I don’t know how it could pass their 172-point inspection with “rodent damage.” Yes, the injector went out due to wires being chewed on by a rodent. This was missed by the dealership, and even better, rodent damage is not covered by warranty! Then, two weeks later, it lost injector number seven also. The truck went in for repairs twice in the first month. Then, to add insult to injury, I got a call one month after purchasing the truck to inform me that the dealership failed to do the Texas State Inspection and, therefore, could not get the plates. I was asked to take time out of my day to go and get it inspected and then mail a copy of the inspection back to the dealership. Given that I only have three weeks left on the temporary tags, I have to assume that my permanent plates will more than likely be late getting to me. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this has been multiple issues and, in my opinion, shows poor operating culture at this dealership.

BUYER BEWARE!!

by Ben on 09/29/2022

Already having significant electronic issues ( sliding door, dashboard) with the vehicle I purchased <60 days ago; repairs have already cost over $1000. Two different mechanics told us that multiple issues should have been reported to us by the dealership but were not. Dealership told us its our problem for buying a crap car. Highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

Bad service department

by Tony Malone on 06/20/2022

I called to schedule a appointment with Brad and he called the service department and they were supposed to call me back. They never did. This was a Thursday, so I had family business in east Texas on Friday. So when I got back, I came over to get my stuff fixed. It was around 4:45 and they were more interested in getting out of there, than trying to solve the problem. No cold ac and zero cruise control. This is the second time for the cruise control. On the first visit, they said they flashed it and it solved the problem. One of the second visit I told them what was told to me on the first trip and they told me that they had never heard of that. So they clear the codes and zero, nada , cruise control.?

Classic [non-permissible content removed] Chevrolet of Grapevine

by mrydrumg on 12/27/2021

On 9/18/2021, I went to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas to meet with the sales associate Kevin Gooding. I told him my husband was interested in the Blazer, Mr. Gooding told me there was a chip problem and it would take a while before the car would come in. But I could put $500.00 down to hold the Blazer when it came in. So I agreed. We talked about the incentives and because the Blazer is not in stock right now, would I still get the September incentives, and he told me that I would. So I paid the $500.00, and waited for the car to come in. Mr. Gooding emailed me on 11/112021, to tell me that the Blazer we were waiting for had arrived. On Thursday 11/18/2021, Mr Gooding sent me a text, stating that after my deposit the Blazer will cost me $37,683 plus tax and title (ttl). I then asked him how much the tax and title would cost. Mr. Gooding he then wrote that it would be 6.25%, plus another $350 - $400. Everything seemed fine, so my husband and I decide to go the next day to purchase the Blazer. On 11/19/2021, my husband and I purchased a 2021 Blazer from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas. I was not happy with the termed that was presented to me by finance. The payments would be $579.89, for 84 months. I asked about the incentives that was offered to be in September, and I was told I could not get those incentives. I asked if there was any incentives the next day saw on the Chevy website that there is a $500.00 Cyber incentive until 11/20/2021, but it was not offered to me. We did talk about getting 6 years or 60,000 miles, but it was not in my paperwork. I tried to get finance to lower the price because I felt the monthly payment of $569.89 was too high, but he wouldn’t budge. Basically I was told to take the deal or look for another vehicle. I had already waited so long to get the vehicle, and although he gave us a few minutes to think about it. My husband and I signed the paperwork. I didn’t realize until the next day that I went from having at great deal at $37,863 to paying $43,959.99, I felt the dealership had taken advantage of me. And the money I thought I was paying for my Gap insurance, was used as a down payment for the Blazer. When I stated that I would have to refinance, the finance guy who I don’t remember his name, told me no one could beat GM’s deal and he knew all the credit unions and none of them would give me a better deal. I am so sorry I did business with Classic Chevrolet of Grapevine.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

by Vince on 08/05/2019

BUYER BEWARE!! Deal cautiously with the Internet Sales Department and with Internet Sales Director Eric Hall. After confronting Eric Hall with several documented lies made by his staff during the negotiation of a sale, Eric Hall took no interest or action to correct. The customer service and treatment by this team before and after their dishonesty was exposed caused me to terminate negotiations and purchase my vehicle elsewhere. Based on this experience, I acquired a complete lack of trust in this dealership and in the Chevrolet name. Three years ago, I purchased a new vehicle from this dealership and the experience was good. However, over the past year, as I have inquired about trading into a new vehicle, I have sensed an obvious change in customer treatment and a lowering of ethical standards. This was confirmed when I recently engaged in serious negotiations for the purchase of a new vehicle. I was absolutely amazed at the lack of integrity on the part of the Internet Sales staff and Director Eric Hall. I ultimately purchased a BMW from Autobahn in Fort Worth. The professionalism and quality of service that I received from Autobahn BMW was night and day in comparison to Classic Chevrolet’s Internet Sales Department. PLEASE before you purchase a vehicle from this dealership, especially the Internet Sales Department, make certain that you are not being lied to by Eric Hall and his team. If at all possible, visit another dealership (or maker) and compare the treatment. I assure you, if you take the time to do this, you will see that there claim of being the “best dealership in Texas” is just another swindle.

Jeffrey Murray

by Jeff Murray on 12/04/2018

The overall experience was great but I was charged for a free oil change. When I leased this 2017 Volt I was told that my first two oil changes would be free. I was in for a 15,000mi check and my first oil change. When I checked out I was charged $52.00 for my free oil change. The lady at the desk said that my free oil change had expired. How does a free oil change expire? This is a hybrid vehicle and I haven't been using the gas engine very often. Can somebody please explain to me what I am missing?

Poor customer service.

by TraumaRN on 12/12/2017

Chevrolet sent a link for me to leave a review: I recently (June 2017) purchased my first Chevrolet. After hearing about the ZR2, I put in a special order for one. Charley Evans at classic Chevrolet was amazing to work with. He was attentive, friendly and very easy going. As I understand, he sold Chevrolet’s for fifty years (I recently got a letter stating that he retired). Several weeks ago, I noticed my battery was nearly dead when I got in my vehicle to go to work. I found it odd, but I had to be to the hospital for an ER shift and didn’t really think much of it. Well, over the next several days, I noticed that when exiting the vehicle, the infotainment system would not turn off. I posted on the ZR2 Facebook page asking if any other members have had this problem. No one seemed to be experiencing this on their ZR2’s. Several member suggested that I disconnect the battery to reset the computer. However, I decided to take it in to service to correctly diagnose and document the problem. It surprised me to need to have a brand new vehicle go in for service, but none the less, I made the call. The week before, I had the vehicle in for an oil change and was assigned to Josh Kline. So when I called, I spoke with him again. I explained what the vehicle was doing (I also sent a email to him with video with clear documentation of the problem). He seemed eager to get the vehicle in, but when I told him that I would need a loaner his tone quickly changed. I explained that the dealership was a 45 minute drive each way for me and that I have been working 60 hour work weeks in the ER. He promptly told me that he has been working 72 hour work weeks and a loaner would not be available. To say I was caught off guard by his demeanor would be an understatement. I purchased a brand new vehicle so I would not need unexpected service. Furthermore, should I be belittled and punished because my brand new vehicle has a problem? I explained to Josh that I need a vehicle to get to and from work. His responded by telling me to call corporate if I wanted to express my concerns. I made an appointment to drop off the vehicle off on a Friday evening after leaving the hospital. I had the next day off. Therefore, figured I’d be able to pick it up on Saturday. My wife and child followed me for the hour and a half round trip. When I arrived at the dealership, Josh greeted me. As I had previously explained, the infotainment system did not turn off when I pulled into the service bay. After checking in the vehicle, Josh informed me that they did in fact have a loaner for me. I was appreciative of the loaner. However, I still have no reasoning as to why I was disrespected. Also, had I known that I would get a loaner, my wife and child would not have had to waste their time, gas and mileage following me to the dealership. Saturday, I received a call from Josh stating that the vehicle would not be ready until Monday. As I understood, the vehicle needed to go to paint and trim (?) to have the door latch switch replaced. Unfortunately, the paint and trim department would be closed over the weekend. Monday, when I arrived to pick the vehicle up, no one greeted me in service. I walked into the cashiers desk and no one was there. A customer was standing at the counter waiting as well. After waiting for 5 minutes or so, I decided to take the extra time to return the keys to the young lady who initially helped me with the loaner. I asked if she knew where the cashier was, she told me that she had seen her running tickets back and forth to the service advisors. I went back inside and waited some more. After, finishing with the same young lady who had been standing in line she helped me as well. I signed my ticket and went back out to the service bay. A service advisor never spoke with me. After getting into my truck, and needing to readjust my seat (someone had reset it), I was on my way. This experience solidified for me that I am not a valued customer. I work really hard to own a brand new truck. The last thing I need is to having someone belittling me and telling me to call corporate because my truck needs to go in for an unexpected service. I sent video documentation of the problem prior to dropping the vehicle off. Did my entire family need to waste their time following me in Dallas traffic both ways (60 miles) on a Friday night? From my experience, Chevrolet’s service department lacks communication, respect and appreciation of the customer. I really wanted to enjoy the ZR2 for a long time. However, the service department, compounded by the need for service, has made me realize that I do not want to be a Chevrolet customer. Chevrolet service has missed the mark. On December 20th, I’m scheduled to trade in my Chevrolet for a 2018 Toyota. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Learn to Stay In Touch While Car In Service

by Watson4 on 10/05/2017

They need to learn that communication is a good thing. If I have to call and ask what the status is with my car only to find it is in an even longer wait time for service and nobody bothers to inform me...yes, I am upset. Joe Laubhan was a disgrace as Service Manager and his tone with me was unappreciated. Then, when I finally get my car back and on the way home it has a Service light appear out of the blue-I have to bring it back to the dealership, wait another 24 hours for that repair, and then be told it would cost another extended warranty deductible, claiming it was unrelated. After all the turmoil I had just gone through, it would have made sense to void the added extended warranty, but they claimed the items repaired were not connected. Lies! The complete lack of respect for my time and that I had to call and call again and just put up with this bad service is why I refuse to purchase from this dealership ever again. The fact my car only has 13,000 miles, 2014, and since March 2017 has had to have ignition console replaced, steering gear replaced, and the last surprise, airbag replaced. Give me a break! I can't trust the quality of GM now, and the poor service from this dealership is just unacceptable.

Classic Chevrolet, superior Parts and Service Departments

by thureos on 10/05/2017

I bought the 1LE suspension package for my 2015 Camaro SS from the Parts Department at Classic Chevrolet, which Classic Chevrolet installed. The front shocks failed. The parts department supervisor, Kevin, made sure that I was able to get replacement parts. Kim Marshall the service writer, made arrangements for me to have the shocks replaced and a loaner car. The service is impressive and I would recommend anyone I know take their car to Classic Chevrolet.

Great Service and Fast!

by Cecil1955 on 09/09/2017

We visited several dealerships in our journey to buy a new car. We liked different aspects of each dealership, but my dad and I found that Classic Chevrolet had the whole package. I especially enjoyed the relationship and helpfulness of our salesman William Barcenas. He did an excellent job in answering our questions and being a trustworthy friend in the process. He should be commended for his helpfulness and the effort he put into winning our trust. I would definitely recommend Classic Chevrolet and William if anyone asks about buying a Chevrolet. I am super excited to be driving a new 2017 Black Hybrid Chevy Malibu!

The Best of the Best

by MrStickrack on 11/30/2016

After having purchased approximately a dozen new vehicles and having owned about 6 or 7 Chevrolet trucks in my life, I would say that without a doubt this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Your outstanding salesman, TOUFIK was very professional, courteous and went above and beyond to show me exactly what I was looking for. He went to additional lengths to prepare the truck with the additional options that I requested and I was very impressed every step of the way. I have already recommended TOUFIK to my friends and I look forward to doing business with him and Classic Chevrolet for many more years. Signed...one very satisfied customer!

You were able to get the car of my dreams quicker than I ever thought possible. My salesperson Myron Marcyniak kept me updated every step of the way. From when GM accepted my order, to the proposed production date, when assembly was completed, all the way to delivery to your dealership. I couldn't have asked for anything more from Myron, he was incredible. Thank you, you have a customer for life.

I brought my 07 Covette in for repair after it was hit in the rear. After discussing what needed to be done I added one thing for sure and asked for a price on another. When I declined the second the person working with me assumed I was refusing all of the additions. So, when I came by to look at the work after a week I found the 1st addition hadn't been touched. I was assured this wouldn't take long. After 2 more weeks I finally got my car. The first thing I noticed was the radio reception was weak to non-existent. The button to open the rear deck didn't work. The plate lights and the emergency unlock was nearly unattached and not usable. The right front fender had been adjusted and now the passenger door hits when opening. Before the crash everything worked. The car is now back in the shop. At this time I'm holding my breath.

Terrible experience - POTENTIAL BUYER BEWARE

by camarobuyer1 on 04/28/2016

Finance guy, Dallas I believe was his name, was the absolute worst finance individual we have ever attempted to work with. His hard push sale of dealership financing as opposed to our bank was an awful tactic and ended up making us walk out on the deal and drive to Huffines to purchase the same black Camaro convertible. We have purchased all our personal and business auto's/trucks from Jerry's here in Weatherford an unfortunately they didn't have what we were looking for this time. We thought Classic would be a great choice since it was the Durant family after all. Terrible decision on our part. The Salesman was great. Dallas, the awful finance person, and believe his name was Brent (the cocky assistant manager since the big manager was out) were absolutely terrible. Can see why a younger individual might be scared into dealership financing through their tactics, but those two gentlemen were the absolute worst individuals we have ever dealt with. Those two alone will keep us from ever coming back to Classic Chevrolet.

All the cars I have bought from Classic over the years have been purchased through Steve Thomas. He has always been honest and upright and I would not consider purchasing from anyone else. Never any pressure, but always ready and willing to provide me with the service everyone should expect from a dealership. This time I purchased a new 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. I don't like salesmen that are ready to pounce on you the minute you stop your car and Steve is not one of them. He is also ready to help after the sale in the event you have any problems. In addition when I return for service I always go to Casey Barnes who also provides me with excellent service. I'm sure there are other fine personnel, but I only deal with these two men because they have proven to me that excellent service still exists.
