Purchase of New Jeep Rubicon Recon from Misa Jelic

by Graywolf on 04/27/2018

This is my third Jeep Wrangler purchase fro Ron Carter Jeep in Alvin. I called first and spoke with Misa Jelic who was very helpful, I had already had a disappointing encounter with Ron Carter League City. I knew what I wanted and since they are no longer making JKs I couldn't order one the way I did with my last purchase 2010. Misa found one as close as possible to the equipment I wanted. He was very helpful and kept in touch through the entire process. It was a very painless experience. Misa was knowledgeable and helpful and since I own four Wranglers I know if someone has done their homework. I also took my 2010 in for an airbag recall and they were done in about an hour and a half and Misa kept tabs on that for me as well.

Loyalty Savings Event

by nano2015 on 05/30/2015

A note to make public awareness that this dealership, Ron Carter Dodge, Jeep, Ram in League City TX is not honoring a "Customer Loyalty Savings Event" letter that I received in the mail this past week. The staff was not aware of the event and were blaming the advertising company wrongly writing the letter. The event offer included a $10,000 towards the purchase of select Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and RAM models and offered additional $ over the trade-in value of my vehicle.

Excellent

by Jeepkcco1271 on 05/27/2015

My overall experience was a great one. From the time I contacted Jay Hernandez until he gave me final instructions on my jeep. We were treated like family, by all we came in contact with.

Great experience at Ron Carter League City

by agmikep on 04/27/2015

I highly recommend Ron Carter in League City. Ed Adams was great to work with and the whole experience was very professional and I can honestly say this was the easiest and least stressful car buying experience I've ever encountered. I worked with Ed beforehand via email and we were able to come to an agreeable price and terms before I stepped foot in the dealership. When I arrived, all the paper work was done and about all I had to do was sign my name. The other staff even entertained my kids while I was signing the documents. After this experience, I can say that Ron Carter will be at the top of my list in the future when it's time to buy another car.

Awesome Experience

by stephanie47 on 02/09/2015

I was treated wonderfully. Linda Rivera was amazing. She gave me exactly what I wanted and did not try and push me for more than I wanted or could afford. Her professionalism, friendliness and patience, exceeded my expectations.

Awesome Experience and Service

by coachhancock on 11/09/2014

We had a great experience buying our new 2015 Jeep Sahara. The salesman, Joe was great! I would recommend him if you need a jeep. He owns one and can give you first hand experience on his jeep. That was our first experience with Ron Carter and that was by far the best and easiest way to buy a new car. We were shopping around that day and ended up with our new Jeep. We love it, there are so many good features and cute things we have never seen on our Jeeps before. This is our 4th Jeep. Ron Carter is the BEST!!!

Excellent Service, Very Friendly

by jrh0623 on 03/01/2014

Great General Sales Manager (Miguel). Easy to negotiate. Sales process has been streamlined and the time with the finance guy, was only like 10 minutes with little wait. Gave a good value on the trade. would highly recommend. I've been driving Chrysler vehicles for 20+ years and I will likely buy from them again.

Great Car Buying Experience

by bbrown1426 on 02/07/2014

I had a great experience working with Isreal. He was so friendly, polite, and educated me on the vehicle. As a woman, buying a car can be quite intimidating but I never felt once he was taking advantage of me. The negotiation process was very fair and I am so happy with my new car!

Do not buy from Ron Carter Texas City

by mr_who on 05/18/2009

I have purchased 2(two) brand new vehicles from Ron Carter of Texas City. The first one was a brand new 2006 dodge ram, 4 door, 4x4, cummins turbo diesel. The other was a brand new 2007 dodge charger R/T with the hemi, sun roof and leather interior. A total of over $80,000 worth of business just from me. I have also refered numerous friends and family who BOUGHT cars from them, so that's even more business. (before I found out how they really are) My wife works for a local bank and she has personally referred numerous buyers to ron carter TC. There were small issues when I purchased my truck from them, things they promised and never delivered after the sale, (like tinting the windows, service agreements, etc.). The salesmen is no longer there. I let that slide because I really loved the truck. When I started looking for a Charger for my wife, we did not look at Ron Carter TC. We looked elsewhere first. My wife wanted a brand new Inferno Red R/T Challenger with a sunroof. We looked everywhere, and no one had one except Ron Carter TC. We were trying to make a deal at [another dealership] for the car. They made us a good deal and said they could get the car there within a day, they just had to get it from Lucy at Ron Carter TC. [The other dealership] calls Lucy to get the car. Lucy flat out refuses. [The other dealership] made the mistake of telling Lucy who it was for, and she knows who we are. So I called ron carter tc to see why they wouldn't give the car to [the other dealership]. Lucy said the she knows that's the only one for hundreds of miles and if I wanted the car I would have to buy it from her. I didn't want to deal with Lucy so they passed me off to another salesman named Koy at Ron Carter TC. He said he would make things right. I made the deal over the phone. The only reason I got a good deal on it was because I researched here on Edmonds.com and found rebates and cash back, not because he made things right. He is a [violative content deleted] too. He tried to say that they didn't apply, which was a lie. You would think after as much money and business we have sent ron carter tc, that they would try to treat us better than what they did. But that's not the end of it... I tried to trade in my wife's charger for a more economical car. She found an ad in the paper for a 2 year old VW beetle for a GREAT DEAL. Couldn't pass it up. My wife called Lucy thinking that since she had just sent her 2(two) new customers who bought cars that she may have changed her ways. Lucy said over the phone that she would give us a $23,000 trade-in on our charger that we bought from them, that was fine. She wrote up the deal on paper, we looked at it and said that's a good deal, we'll buy it. She took it to her sales manager to get approval and then comes back changing all the numbers. She practically cut the trade-in in half, and went up on the price of the beetle. We said no, that's not the deal we talked about on the phone. And that's not what you had wrote down on the paper you took to your sales manager. She said she couldn't do the deal that way and lost the paper she wrote it on.(how convenient) She started to try and talk us into another car and to make a long story short we think it was a typo in the paper and she knew they were losing money on the deal. We ended up walking out on Lucy and Ron Carter Texas City and never looked back. I will never ever purchase another vehicle from them and never refer any more business to them. These are the kind of people that give all salespersons bad names. DO NOT BUY FROM RON CARTER TEXAS CITY!

Ron Carter

by tanya77586 on 12/21/2007

I just had a nightmare with Ron Carter Texas City. I bought a new Charger from them 4 months ago so when I went looking for a new truck for my husband, I called them. "Lucy" told me 2 days in a row she would "call me right back" and never did. I called and asked to speak to a manager (they gave me Donnie). I told him business must be good if they don't need to sell any trucks. He promised me someone would call back. They didn't. I dropped off my Charger for service and told them no one ever called back. They laughed it off. I immediately started looking elsewhere. When I went to pick up my car the next day, another salesman (Koy) said we really want your business please give us a chance. I told him another dealer would buy our Harley for $7800 (for trade-in) and he said "I will give you $9500, they are trying to make too much money off the bike". He said they just purchased a used truck for $18,500 that they would sell to us to stay in our monthly payment of $250. After going through financing, they only would give us $7,500 for the bike. Then he promised us 7.25% because of the low bike offer. That came back as 9.9%. Now he has broken 2 promises. The payments went from $246 to $296 and we said OK. Then they went to $322 and we still said ok. This was Friday. He pressured us saying that he could only hold the truck for us til Monday so we had to decide. We said we would take the truck. They promised the truck would be there Saturday, as they had just bought it and was "waiting for it to get here". I called Saturday night to see if it had arrived and told Koy, "I don't mean to bother you" and his reply was, "Well you are bothering me". I took it with a grain of salt because I really wanted my husband to get a new truck. Monday on our way to sign papers, Lucy calls and tells us that our truck is on a delivery truck that won't be there until later that night and can we come sign papers tomorrow. Tuesday, still no truck. I called her and said, "Who is lying; you or them? You said the truck was being delivered last night." Just more fast talk and lies, all the while telling me she is sorry and they don't do business like that and that this has never happened before... That evening my husband called up and asked what the deal was. Koy asked him about "other colors" for a truck. What we believe has happened is that he pressured us into quickly deciding to take the truck; which we did, and now they have gone and sold it out from under us and still will not tell us the truth! It has been a week now and there is still no sign of the truck we were promised. My husband told him fine, find us another truck, you call me; and they have not called yet!!!! I have never received such poor customer service. They have done nothing but lie to us from the beginning. I will never use Ron Carter again and I will let as many people as possibl know what a nightmare I have had. Follow-up: I just called Ron Carter and asked to speak to Koy. When I told him who I was, he said, “Oh [violative content deleted]”. I asked him if he had the truck. He said no, I don’t know where it is…I said I do…you sold it out from under us and you are lying about it. You have been yanking our chain for a week now. We will not be buying a vehicle from you now or ever again and will let everyone know our story.
