Mini Cooper Love

by LoveMyMini on 11/07/2017

I contacted Texas Carz about a Mini Cooper they had for sale a while back. We did appraisals over the phone for my trade-in, which I shipped to them and then they shipped my Mini! Easy Peasy. This car was and is my best investment ever!

Do not buy from [non-permissible content removed]!

by DavidMW on 08/26/2017

I recently purchased a BMW that looked great no accidents, clean Car Facts record & thought was a good deal. Then 2 weeks later started shaking & falling apart. I took it to the mechanics & they discovered it was in an accident & was repainted. I have to replace a broken control arm, a bent rim, & bent axle - over $1000.00 to fix. TexasCarz refused to pay for it & do NOT honer there 3 month warranty. There response was "have you ever bought a used car before, well this is what happens" and wash their hands of the situation. I will only purchase CERTIFIED PREOWNED CARS from now on. Thanks TexasCarz for selling me a LEMON!

*Buyer Beware*

by mad_mcmillan on 08/17/2017

*Buyer Beware* I recently had a rather bad experience here buying a car. I bought a used 2006 VW Passat. When buying the car I asked the salesman if their mechanics had looked over the car. He said yes, it was looked over thoroughly. Within 3 days of owning the car, I had a check engine light go on. After taking the car in to a dealership, I was told that there were actually several error codes in the car’s computer system causing this check engine light. The service guy working with me actually recommended that I not have them perform the repairs, and instead see if I could work with the people who sold me the car, since this car was obviously not in good shape. I did contact Texas Carz again, and spoke with the salesman who sold me the car. He told me there was no way they could have known something was wrong with the car, and refused to work another deal out with me. I asked to speak to his manager, who I was told was in the office at the time. I was put on hold for a while, then my salesman picked up the phone again and said “actually, my manager will call you first thing in the morning.” I never heard back from them. I’ve accepted that negotiating with Texas Carz was a lost cause, because the car was sold “as is.” I ended up with an extra $2000 maintenance bill. Any competent mechanic should have seen what was wrong with the car. Texas Carz is perfectly ok with smiling at you while selling you pieces of junk. Don’t make my mistake; have any car you’re looking at with them checked out by a mechanic you trust. Or, better yet, look elsewhere for a car dealership with integrity.

All around horrible service! Do not waste your time!

by jan_aj_ on 02/03/2017

***I ONLY GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE IT IS REQUIRED TO WRITE A REVIEW, ONE STAR IS ACTUALLY GIVING TOO MUCH CREDIT*** I expressed interest about a car and I received an email back from AJ NIMER, now mind you, NOTHING in the email stated we would have to go through pre-qualification to test drive the car. However, when we arrived, the salesman that we encountered was a real [non-permissible content removed]! He asked if we have previously worked with someone and what car we were interested in, I told him that it was our first time in the office and the car we came to look at. He went on saying that we had to prequalify JUST TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR!!! Basically saying that it would save us all time to not even test drive the car if we did not qualify. He also stated that since it was my first time financing a car that I would have to have a $4,000-$5,000 down payment. And that the price that is listed online is for cash transactions only. He also went on to say that I would probably only be approved to finance a maximum of $10,000 only. Now mind you, this guy said all of this to us just standing there looking at us, not once did I complete a pre-qualification for him to have any information on a credit score or income to go by to tell me any of this about what I would be approved for and what I would have to put down. We felt as if we were pre-be judged because of our race and maybe he figured we couldn't afford a luxury vehicle, maybe he thought we were not serious buyers, or if we just stopped by to test drive a car we can't afford or wasn't going to buy. But we have done our research on the vehicle and have look around other places and are ready to purchase a vehicle. We know the process of purchasing a car and have everything in order to do so. So we didn't need the BS we received from him because of he decided to be prejudice. He would of done better by just simply saying he did not want to sell us a car. But it was a blessing in disguise, we dodged the bullet of dealing with a shady, unprofessional business, who have lost TWO potential customers. And I will definitely continue to share my experience with others and on other sites to save people from encountering something so upsetting as we did. So I would suggest that if you are black and do not appear very wealthy, don't waste your time with this business! We didn't get the salesman's name, as he didn't even introduce himself to us. Smh
