We have bought our last two new vehicles from Covert Buick GMC and at least two previously owned Cadillacs from Covert Cadillac. We are now on our third new car as we bought a 2023 Buick Encore GX Select to be towed behind our Motor Home RV. Poor work with even worse customer service after the error

After having a 4Runner for 4 years I bought a 2017 Acadia. I reached out specifically to establish a relationship for future service but also have a repair done on the rear sunroof shade. It was supposed to be a quick repair. John called and told me they would need to keep my car which was fine. I ended up taking my dog to a vet appointment that I had scheduled a month ago. When I went back they charged me 100.00 for a tiny amount of pet hair. I didn't read the agreement closely given I was just supposed to drive home, work, and come back. This charge, while absolutely over the top for that small amount of hair, was on my as I didn't read the agreement. John was going to "see what he could do" and never got back with me. The part that I am angry about and may never ever step back into Covert again over, was the repair. It wasn't finished. My headliner was never placed back correctly and there is dirt where they pulled down the headliner. It looks like garbage. I sent pics to John john via text, explaining that I was not lumping both issues together and he agreed it was unacceptable.I was extremely angry so I didn't address it at that time. One issue or the other wouldn't have soured me on Covert, but both combined with the lack of follow up is as John put it, "unacceptable."

He answered all my questions and made an appt with my son to test drive the SUV. Ray made the financing so easy. Plus the price was the best one in town. New Yukon XL Denali - Above and Beyond

We just purchased a new GMC Yukon XL Denali 2018 from Josh and Chris at Covert GMC. The title says it all. They went above and beyond to get my wife the Exact Yukon she wanted with every feature. From start to finish, they were there with us helping guide along the whole way. Once we picked the car, they helped with the financing and finished that process up in minutes signing on the digital board. We even had to already take it into the Collision Center where Manuel was even awesome. I highly recommend reaching out to Chris or Josh at Covert. Hellcat Purchase

I purchased a two year old hellcat. 2016. Left the lot. Had a very bad vibration. Brought it back the next morning for a tire rebalance. Still had the same bad vibration when I got it back. On the rode had a blow out. This is the day after I bought it. Took to discountire. Was showed that the tires were 4 years old. Funny how the car was only two years old. Called dealership. Was told to bad. The had sold the car cheaper than planned so we were even. Not ok at all. I bought a two year old car with four year old tires. Have them $50,000 and they tell me they won’t help make it right. Horrible experience. Horrible.

Buyer Beware- Covert does not disclose transit damage reports on new cars

I purchased a new 2018 Yukon XL from this dealership the end of 2017. Everything about the transaction went smooth, and at the time, I would have given them a 5 star review. However, over the past few months, my front bumper started to shift, causing the metal to stick out over the wheel well, and the paint to chip. I took the car to my local GMC dealership, and the body shop thought it was strange, so cost to repair was submitted to GMC to cover as a factory defect. GMC responded saying the car was damaged in transit to the Covert dealership, therefore it would not be covered as a defect. They also brought to my attention there was a documented damage report to the front bumper of my car in GMC's national system. Covert did not disclose this information to me at the time of purchase. Covert responded they are not required to share this information with the buyer. If it is not legally required, then it is a business decision- I believe the decision to with hold pertinent information on the history of a new car is fraudulent. My recommendation to buyers approaching this dealership is to ask for the VIN number on vehicles you are considering, and run the number by GMC to check there is no prior history on record that you should be aware of when you make your purchase decision.

Horrible Shadey Service

My new car , just over a year old, had a leak that was fixed in Dec. In March I went back bc something smelled in my AC, I made an appointment a week later to have it looked at. That day they said they didnt have time but my car was fine prob my child left something smelly in car, I insisted they look bc it did NOT smell right and I cleaned my car many times and the smell persisted everytime I turned on my AC. Now a few months later my engine over heats, before this happens the AC gets hot and I smell the smell extra strong, the same smell they insisted was nothing, apparently due to a coolant leak... that was NEVER fixed in both prior visits. Going to a different dealership for repairs. Utterly disappointed.

Pick your salesman wisely (:

My husband and I did not have the best buying experience at this dealership today. My husband has been on the phone with our salesman, Eddie & everything was going great. We had our two vehicles picked out that we were going to purchase. The one I chose became “unavailable” so I picked another.. we had plans to drive 3.5hrs today to pick up our new vehicles & prior to leaving my husband called and the truck he was told he had a deal on was “unavailable” .. the salesman never had possession of the truck he was selling. After a few hours back and forth on the phone my husband decided on another truck and the vehicle I was originally really interested was all of a sudden available & never sold like we were originally told. They held the truck and suv I wanted until we got there. As you can imagine we were frustrated for the run around and confusion our salesman gave us. Honestly If it wasn’t for the sales managers Jay & Clay we would not have given this dealership the time or day. When we arrived to the dealership, Eddie our salesman “greeted us”, & was very short. After we test drove the truck & suv he showed us to the waiting area. After we got through with the finance part my husband went to Eddie to have him unlock our trucks to get our belongings out & Eddie made a couple rude remarks & went to put our temporary license plates on shook our hand and left.... never once did he take the time to show us how to operate or show us all the features we have on our vechiles & I even had to ask him how to start my suv because it is push button start. He even told my husband to Refer our friends to him as he walked away... If we recommend a friend i will be sure and tell them not to use Eddie. He filled us with a bunch of false information through out this buying experience & wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.... The dealership itself is nice. I know no one is perfect we are all human & make mistakes but it was seriously one thing after another and majority of it was false information from the salesman.

Won't Ever Be Back

This isn't just a service review. My experience with this dealership has been poor from buying the vehicle to getting anything done on it, warranty or service. Even the sales experience wasn't a pleasant time. During the first service experience, I was supposed to get a free car wash, but it looked like they may have just lightly squirted it with a hose. Something my 3 year old granddaughter could have done a better job of doing. The were bugs, bird dropping, and smears everywhere and it didn't look like a vacuum was ever used. I took it in for some warranty work because I was getting strange alerts and my touchscreen wouldn't display the correct information. They couldn't "recreate the problem" so they thought a software update might be in order. It took them 4 days to do a software update! Four days and the only thing they accomplished was to delete all of my phone contacts. Nothing else was solved. This last time, I had an 8 o'clock appointment to get mu oil changed and tires rotated. After the last washing experience, I told them not to bother. After waiting for an hour, I went to see where we were in the process and noticed that my name wasn't even on the status board, so I asked if anything had been done yet. The clerk said she would ask. Finally, after 1 1/2 hours, they pulled my truck around. I probably could have lived with this, but when I mentioned to my service advisor that it shouldn't take 1 1/2 hours to change my oil and rotate my tires, he started giving me an attitude about how it "always takes and hour and a half" as he rolled his eyes. I've had the truck less than 2 years and this was only my 3rd oil change, so I was also shocked that they wanted over $76 for the work. I have to admit, that I was accustomed to the Cadillac service next door where you get free oil changes for 4 years or 48,000 miles, so I should have read the sales contract closer. But when I said that I'd be getting it done elsewhere in the future, the service advisor still went on with his attitude about, "It would cost me over $100 any where else" and talking in a very condescending manner. After paying the bill, I went to the service manager to tell him about my experience and that I'd be taking my business elsewhere, if for no other reason than the attitude of my service advisor. You know, it's a funny thing. After all of my previous encounters, I received a survey from GM on the quality of my experience. After telling the service manager that I wouldn't be back, I didn't ever get a survey...Funny how that happened.

This dealership will give you PTSD and whiplash from their lies

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I have never had so many issues with a dealership in my life. I will never buy a car from them again. And I may never buy a GMC again because of them. Everything they do and say is a lie. Their service is guaranteed to cost you in time, multiple trips for the same issue, stress, and aggravation. No accountability here. Just a steady stream of lie after lie, big and small, to your face. Black is white, gaslighting. The only constant and reliable thing is that they will mess up your service, and you will have walk through fire to get them to fix it. Expect at least 2-3 trips to fix the same issue. I am literally going to transfer all of my paperwork and purchase to another dealership so that I never have to deal with them again. It is truly that bad.

My BEST car buying experience

Today I found the best truck for me at Covert Cadillac in Austin, TX. I've dealt with many dealerships and salesmen in the past while car shopping, and I have to say that this was the best experience I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle. Cory Rutherford and Arman Khachatryan were incredibly nice and very professional. Cory made sure the process went as smooth as possible and made sure I was well taken care of while I was there, and really made my buddy and I feel very welcomed. He explained everything in detail to me throughout the entire process, and made sure I understood everything. I will start with Covert with any future vehicle purchases & recommend Covert to anyone I know who is looking to purchase their next vehicle. I would rate 10 stars if I could! My family & I love our new truck and all thanks goes to Cory Rutherford and Covert Cadillac.
