Thank you Victory Honda of Jackson !!!

by McNallys on 08/03/2014

We have been searching for a new 2015 Honda Fit in "Passion Berry Pearl", for our college age daughter, for what seemed like forever. Many dealers would list them on their website, but fail to tell you they were not on the lot, but just on order. One dealer (who will remain nameless), even went as far as to invite us to come by for a test drive, and failed to mention until we arrived, that they did not actually have the car we came to see in stock, but only on order (that dealer was over 95 miles from our home). Another dealer took a $500.00 deposit for the car we wanted, but despite telling us they would be able to get the car, could never produce a VIN number. Not Victory Honda of Jackson! One call to Larry M., the BDC Manager, not only verified that they had one that had just come in that day, but he was able to provide me with the VIN number as well. I confirmed with him that we were interested and made an appointment to meet with him that night (we live in Nashville, so it was about a two hour drive). Once we arrived, Larry introduced us to a nice young salesman by the name of Ken J. (we would recommend anyone ask for him by name, you won't regret it). While we were talking with Ken, David E., the managing partner walked over and introduced himself and inquired why we were interested in that particular color. He explained that he was the one who ordered it, and was not really certain just who it would appeal to. We explained that our Daughter selected it, as purple is her favorite color. He was very appreciative of our having driven all the way from Nashville, and selecting their dealership to conduct our purchase. At that point we took the car for a test drive, and Ken did an excellent job explaining all the features of the new Honda Fit. We have already owned a 5-speed manual 2008 base model Fit for six years, but were very impressed with what is now the third generation Honda Fit. Our daughter had difficulties with the shifting of gears, so the new CVT transmission was a godsend! Once we completed our test drive, we had a short wait until we met with the Finance Manager, Fernando N. My wife commented more than once, both in his office, and once we were home, that it was the most pleasant and relaxed encounter with an automobile finance department she has ever had! The dealership was also very accommodating with our need to purchase the car now (before someone else could snatch it up), and the fact our daughter, whose name would also appear on the title with her Mother, was currently visiting Disney in Florida, and would not be able to sign her portion of the paperwork until the following Monday. My daughter has no idea we were able to secure the car for her and when she returns Sunday (which also just happens to be her Birthday), a brand new 2015 Honda Fit EX with CVT transmission in "Passion Berry Pearl", will be in the driveway waiting for her! Thank you Victory Honda of Jackson!!! Thank you Larry, Ken, David and Fernando!!! When we get ready to replace our 2007 Honda Odyssey, we will be back!!!

inadequate headlights cannot see without street lamps

by holly29 on 02/26/2014

My used "cerified" honda 2012-crv awd from Victory Honda Of Jackson,TN has defective headlights -inadequedate lighting(I cannot see without a lot of street lights).I had the car for 3 weeks.Because there wasn't a recall, all the heads deny any problem (three adult drivers cannot be wrong!)but will fix at buyer's cost. So I decided to get a refund for the car yet they won't do that (seems they don't want the "their perfectly fine car back") Also we see a suspicious gold paint blob( about the size of a dime) on the headlights like it was marked and they knew it all the time.

They Lie!

by dontbuyhere2 on 08/06/2011

We traveled from more than two hours away because they assured us they had a variety of the vehicle we were looking for, new Honda Civics. In fact, we were told there were over fifty of these vehicles in stock. I verfied to be sure because we didnt want to waste a trip. When we got there, we discovered ONE new Civic and ONE used Civic. Not fifty. When I asked why they lied, they had no response, other than perhaps there had been a "misunderstanding." No, I didnt misunderstand. I understand perfectly. They lied. I've heard that for every positive experience you tell two people and for every negative experience you tell 10. I intend to tell WAY more than 10....

Good Customer Service!!!!

by 1965gal on 09/13/2010

After reading the reviews on this site I was a bit hesitant about going to this dealership. I really wanted to purchase a Honda so off I went to the dealership in Jackson. A business associate suggested that I contact Mr. Kasper Northern. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted immediately and a person even held the door open for me! I thought he was Mr Northern but he was not and went to tell him that I was looking for him. Once Mr Northern arrived he immediately said hello and asked how he could help me. I told him what I was looking for in a car and we went out looking and test drove several. The car I wanted was a bit too much for my budget but the one that Mr. Northern suggested drove nicely, was a 2006 and was very affordable on my budget. I feel blessed and thankful that Mr. Northern really listened and put me in a car that I love driving and that I can pay for, not one that would bust my budget. The financial manager was also very nice and helpful. I told him about the reviews that I had read earlier about the dealership and he said that it is a new day at Victory Honda were I received Good Customer Service.

Good experience

by sanpots on 08/20/2010

I just bought a used car from Victory Honda in Jackson, TN. I had read the horrible reviews other people had written about Victory but they had a used car I wanted so I thought I'd brave it and see what happened. I had come prepared with carfax and Kelly blue book and Black book infor and of course an attitude. My Salesperson was Ray Walker. He was wonderful and most helpful. I didn't feel pressured at any time during the whole transaction.I ended up paying less for the car than I thought I would. Got a terrific trade in allowance on my old car. I was in and out with my new/used car, in just a bit over 3 hours. I really expected to spend the whole day there.. I paid cash so I didn't have to go through all the finance bit. All in all I would go back again and definately make sure I got Ray Walker again. I think Victory is well aware of the awful reviews they have gotten on the internet and are trying to change their imagine.

Horrible Horrible Experience

by jaxse on 03/03/2010

I actually love Honda so this really upsets me to say anything bad, but I had the worst car buying experience of my life here. I actually bought a Honda from them when it was Jack Pirtle Honda and had nothing but great experience, but here goes. Part of this I realize is part of my own stupidity, but never thought I would have been take advantage of the way I was. First, before I ever even went to the dealership I called to ask about the 2.9% financing for 60 months on 2009 Honda Odyssey's because I've never been one who believes in paying lots of interest, so the sales guy said yes they had it, but didn't have any 09's in stock, but said they would give me the same financing on a 2010. So great, in we went to look, found a car. Found what we were looking for, and sat down with the sales guy. Of course, mistake No. 1, brought us monthly payments, anyway, finally got down to a payment we were satisfied with and I of course asked again, because this was the only reason I went in there, so this is still 2.9% for 60 months correct? And the sales guy, said yes. Mistake #2, and yes I know I am an idiot, did not look closely at the paperwork and pretty much signed my life away, but thought surely I was getting what I was told. Will be kicking myself for as long as I have this stupid van, but have completely learned my lesson. Anyway, then when I went to the financial office it was late and past closing time, so the guy said he would get me out of there fast, so he never actually stopped to say, you're paying this interest for this amount of time, I just assumed I was getting what I was told. Please, keep in mind this is not my first car buying experience and this has never happened to me before, anyway sad but didn't notice until my first payment that they actually upped my interest rate to 6.9% and 72 months. So basically I got screwed every way you can be. I honestly wish I had the money to pay it off right now, and would just be done with this place for good, mad at myself and am tempted to just get rid of it all together and figure something else out. I don't want this place to see another dime of my money.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

by bhoppyk on 01/14/2010

This was my 17 year old son's first Dealership car buying experience and he was feeling like he was backed into a corner with no where to go. The salesman kept wanting us to sign a paper committing to a deal. After we put in the contract what we wanted: which included them putting new tires on the car which were slick, fixing the weather stripping accross the top of the windshield and his trade in value; we signed the deal. We had to wait for hours for them to do their clean up of the car which had just come in the day before and was filthy. They did a half butt job of that and never did there 75 point inspection that they said they do on all the cars. Needless to say, he drove the car for 9 days and it's is still in the shop. We called up to talk to the salesman and the manager but the salesman told us the manager couldn't do anything for us. What a wonderful impression to leave on my son of his first dealership transaction. Now he believes that you can't trust anybody. As far as I am concerned this isn't over. We will continue to pursue some type of compensation for the repairs and the tires he never received. Left VERY DISAPPOINTED in Victory Honda!!!!!

Happy Customer

by jhhopkins on 09/18/2008

My wife's family has bought 4 cars from the dealership. I thought I could get a better deal in Memphis, rather than Jackson. They went way over & beyond on our trade in value on my wife's car. The sales staff was very eager and nice. I was really impressed with Kasper (salesman) & Tony (sales manager). They bent over backwards to make the deal work. We had a small hick-up in closing, but they fixed it. The guys there stayed open late, well after closing to make the deal work. They threw in many extras (mait., xm for 2 years, 4 tanks of gas) and came well off the sticker price for us. We bought 2 cars there (CR-V & a Civic), and the combined total of coming off the 2 sticker prices was shy of $8k! With trading my wife's car in, and putting a small down payment down, my note on my brand new Civic was $182 (they even held the check for a wk for it to clear). For both of our cars our notes were $525. We got lifetime warranties on each, & our next 5 oil changes are free. I would STRONGLY recommend seeing Kasper. He has been there for a long time. I see why he has repeat business! VICTORY HONDA IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP (September of 2008) & they treated us very well.

Terrible experience

by kwshoop on 08/25/2008

This dealership needs work on ethical sales practices. My wife and I went in and test drove an 08 Honda Accord one weekend. We took our Yukon XL and had them look at it for a trade and was given a trade amount for the vehicle. We did not even discuss the Accord price. The next weekend we were going back to see about doing a deal on the Accord. I made calls to Memphis and received quotes on a new accord and what they would give me on my trade. The pricing from Memphis was 3500 off of sticker so I told the people at Victory they would have to come to the table with a really good deal or I was going to Memphis. The salesman told me that he guaranteed they would beat the price from Memphis even though I had not told them the price I was given. We went to the dealership and the deal they came back with was amount of trade + amount financed. The amount of trade was 2000 less than what they offered 5 days ago. I told them that we wanted to see the amount of trade and the asking price for the car in separate amounts. I did not want to see it the way they brought it to me the first time. Well, after an hour of this and threatening to leave they finally came with their grand deal of full price for the car and the trade price they had offered a week ago. I told them they had just wasted my time and that I was going to memphis to buy a car. I finally told them what the Memphis dealership had offered and they said there was no way they could match that even after they guaranteed me they would beat any offer from Memphis. Long story short we went to Memphis and bought our Accord with no surprises at all. The deal was exactly what had been discussed on the phone.

Sales Review

by toad7 on 06/17/2008

I visited this dealership in late May 2008 with the intentions of test driving and purchasing a Civic. The greetng went well and so did the test drive. I told the salesman I would like to get a price on the vehicle, he tried to get me to commit to a price without negotiating. I told the salesman I was going to test drive some other vehicles, and I would like to get their best price. The dealership refused to price the vehicle until I test drove some other vehicles, this must be a new way of doing business, one that I certainly am not accustomed to. I went and drove the other vehicles. About two days later some high pressure sales lady contacts me and wants me to commit to a price, however even at this time they refused to price their vehicle. After about an hour conversation with her on the phone, the call was terminated. About 30 minutes later I get a call from the sales manager wanting me to come in and discuss the price with them - I refused. Certainly not a good experience at this dealership.
