Drove 2 hours each way and would again!

Let me preface this experience by stating that I have been in the automotive industry almost my entire life, literally. I grew up in a GM family outside of Detroit. My grandfather was an executive for Hydramatic (the GM transmission division then) from the time he came home from WW2 until the day he retired in 1977. He was also on the original team that created the Corvette in Flint, MI. Aside from that, my family owned and operated a Chevrolet dealership in the Detroit area for over 12 years. What is the point of this information share? Because when it comes to working with a dealership and their sales/service staff, I am as hard-nosed and difficult to please as anyone you will meet because I demand the best, as I have been on both sides of the desk when it comes to cars. I live in the Atlanta area now and while there are 100s of franchise dealerships within a 50 mile radius, I gave my business to the Don Ledford Auto Group. In two weeks of searching for the right car, at a proper price point, from a dealer that was cordial, efficient and accommodating, I was at a total loss in the Atlanta area as every dealer and salesperson were trying to work angles and shade deals. So, I expanded my search radius...and thank goodness I did, to be honest. I hope you're still reading because this story has a happy ending. Within less than 48 hours of initial contact, my wife and I drove away in an absolutely gorgeous Cadillac that was beautifully prepped for delivery, priced better than any with comparable options within over 300 miles, and closed in a very quick, friendly, efficient and unpressured manner. Mike Weeks, Butch Tipton, Harold Jones and Nicholas Lewis all had hands on closing and delivering this deal and did a stellar job. This was late on a Saturday afternoon and they were more than happy to take all the time we needed to close, ask questions and assure that we drove away with 110% satisfaction and confidence in our purchase. We even spoke with Debbie Ledford Melton, the dealership owner/operator, who wanted to make sure that we were happy, well taken care of and asked that we contact her should any need or concern arise. Good luck finding a dealer operator today that has a hands-on concern and commitment to their customer's happiness and their employee's success. We drove two hours, each way! Would I do this again? I can give you every assurance that we would and will! Honesty, integrity, efficiency, care and passion mean a lot when it comes to my criteria for working with a dealer and they over-achieved on each. The Don Ledford team will continue to get our business, regardless of the drive, and we encourage anyone else considering a vehicle purchase or lease to make that drive, as well!
