Easiest transaction ever

onI love the no haggle pricing. Our car was priced at blue book value with fees included. Everyone was laid back and helpful. No pressure. They got the car super clean for us and performed repairs that we didn't even ask for. Tires, windshield and key fob replaced on the spot. The whole deal took only a couple of hours. We were so impressed and happy with our service that I'm filling out as many reviews as possible for them! Great bunch of guys over there, for sure.

A really great experience buying my first new car!

onI finished my undergraduate degree last year, and am now in law school. I'm in my 20's and have been building my credit since my third year of school. Finally, I decided I was ready to buy my first new car. I researched all Summer online to make sure I was getting the best and biggest bang for my buck vehicle that I could. I settled on the Mazda3. I got connected with Ben Mulaosmanovic, and he made the car buying experience exemplary. Ben isn't like the traditional salesman you've seen in mainstream stereotypes. He's honest, straightforward, and doesn't do gimmicks. I knew what I wanted and I told him what I wanted. He gave me what I wanted, and everyone went home a happy camper. He spent 5 hours with me, taking the time to go over everything in detail and insure that I knew what I was getting myself into. He was open with me in every way. I really appreciate that about him, and will continue to recommend him and Nelson Mazda to my friends and family for years to come. Thanks, Ben! I also worked with Elijah Taylor initially before being connected with Ben. He was a really honest and helpful guy as well! In fact, all the staff at Hickory Hollow Nelson Mazda are great! I would recommend the dealership to anyone.

Easy and (no, really!) Fun

onBuying a car is something I've put off for years because the process can be so onerous, but these guys really do make it fun like they declare. Price is no-haggle, but I still got a deal $2500 under KBB value. I bought a used vehicle and still got the 3,000/3 mo guarantee. The test drive is scenic, fun, and long enough to really get a feel for the vehicle. There's no pressure to buy, and the staff are all helpful and kind. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.

Top Notch car buying experience

onI worked with Robb Medonis via email prior to coming in. Basically I stated that I was ready to buy that day, would not pay MSRP or pay for any aftermarket options, and wanted a quick painless transaction. I arrived and was shown the exact car I was looking for. There was no upsell attempt, though I did end up buying a higher end version of the same model that had more factory money off. The transaction was quick, painless, and really just the best dealership experience I've ever had. I've had terrible experiences with other Mazda dealers, so I think this group just has a better culture. There was never any pressure, either. No one ever said, 'Let me talk to the sales manager', either, which is nice. No gimmicks or anything. I'll most likely buy my next car from them.

The best car buying experience I've had

onI had been looking around online for a new-to-me car. I came across a Mazda3 that caught my eye. I live about an hour or so away and was tired of walking away from dealerships with no luck, so they took all the information i needed over the phone and I decided it was worth the drive. They were all very friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease. They didn't leave me waiting for hours and didn't try to push something on me I didn't want or couldn't afford. There was a problem on my way home that night, but after a quick phone call, they fixed it for me even though I bought it as-is. The salesman came and chatted with me while i was waiting and didn't leave me hanging in the waiting room. Nelson Mazda of Rivergate is awesome!

onMy fiance and I have purchased 3 cars from Nelson Mazda and every time has been an excellent experience. From the salesman to the finance guy to the service department people, everyone is nice and treats you like your their only customer. I would send any friend or family member there with full confidence that they will be treated like the most important customer they have.

CX7 Purchase Review

onI bought a 2008 CX7 from Nelson Mazda on December 22, 2007. That morning, I was surfing the internet debating on the '09 Nissa Murano or the '08 CX7. All indications at that time looked like the Murano was going to come out at higher price point than I wanted to pay. Also that morning, I received an email from Mazda advertising a $200 off coupon. I activated the coupon and received an email from Rob in the internet sales department of Nelson Mazda. We emailed back a forth just a few times and I got what I thought was a great price on the '08 Grand Touring CX7. Got my husband up and out the door to the dealership later that day. Overall great marks on the pricing of the CX7 - average marks on the value they gave me for the trade in - poor marks on the financing rate I was offered. I have excellent credit and wished I had done a bit more homework on the financing side of things. Was able to get the rate down to around 7.4% but Mazda offered better financing rates that I was told I did not qualify for due to the price I was paying for the vehicle. Maybe that was the case, but it was never disclosed until I went into the financing room that I was not going to be eligible for Mazda's preferred financing rates. I highly recommend using Rob and the internet service to line out your price on your purchase. As far a financing goes, I would line that up before walking in the door (and I'll practice my own advice next time). Several credit unions offer superb financing rates and I hate wasting money on interest paid. Normally, we sell our cars and don't have to worry over the trade in valuation (the person trading in never wins) but husband has been too busy lately to deal with selling a car and I won't deal with selling one. So, we knew we would take a hit there and felt it was a tolerable amount for the trade. They super low balled us on the trade in value (as I'm sure most lots do) and we were able to work that number up to a level we could stand. Overall, send Rob Medonis an email and you won't be sorry on the pricing. But, look to finance elsewhere.
