My friends in the car business!!!

Experience with Mr. Eller I can sum up my experience with Mr. Eller in two words, “consummate professional!” Mr. Eller has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Right from our first meeting, when I initially gave him the specifications for my Corvette, he made my wife and I feel like a part of the Crews Chevrolet Family. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. Throughout the process, not only was available by both phone and email, he also quickly returned my calls and/or replied to my email queries. I was very excited to get this car, so I felt like I bothered him a lot, but if I did, he never let me know it through word or deed. I want to be clear that I really did not have to bother him as much as I did as he kept me informed every step of the way. He always gave me up to date information that was anywhere from one to three days ahead of the emails from GM. I could go on, but I will share the two items of information most people looking for a new Corvette really want to know as they read reviews: “How long did it take and how much did you pay?” Mr. Eller told me that it would take four to six months to get the car (if memory serves he had six or seven people in the queue ahead of me) when I placed my order on April 21, 2023. I took delivery of my 2023 C8 Corvette Stingray HTC in Red Mist Metallic Tint-coat on August 5, 2023, making the total elapsed time from initial deposit and order to delivery approximately 3.5 months. As many of you reading this review know, the market for new Corvettes is outrageous. Well, at Crews Chevrolet they are not “price gouging!” I was sold sold my Corvette at MSRP as promised by my “Friends in the car business!” You want a Corvette fast and at MSRP…Find new roads at Crews Chevrolet! Stop dreaming and start driving!

Buyer Beware

Let me tell you what happened to us and maybe it will save you time. During this outbreak (before it got bad) we thought now would be a time to purchase a truck and an SUV and help the local community as well, helping the sales guy get a sale since things are slow now. We walked in with a pre-approval from NFCU for a 2020 Silverado, we got here met a wonderful, knowledgeable sales man. He had the patience with us a showed us every new truck on the lot. Walking pass an SUV, I told him we wanted that one too. That’s right we came in for two cars not just one! Test drove both, picked both out and said we wanted both, then we went inside and [non-permissible content removed] hit the fan and I should’ve walked out when the red flags started slapping me in the face, but I loved the sales guy and really wanted him to have the deals. They did the write-ups for both (rebates on the new truck) and what the SUV would be. Sales guy left to attend a meeting, I looked at the papers and said no. No deals on buying two cars, I figured I would take what we have to the other Chevy dealership. Asking for our keys back and wanting to give their keys back, the sales manager asked what he could do for us. I told him to come down on price, he countered that he would give more for our trades, wonderful, it will all work out in the payment, NOPE. We told us if he could run my husband’s credit, he could get us the 84-month 0% interest, 120 days no payment through GM, wonderful, we’ll just switch around the pre-approval and run the truck through them. General Manager comes out to congratulate us on our two new cars. Husband is active duty needs to be at work in an hour and we tell them they need to hurry or we would have to come back tomorrow. Bit of time goes by, we are ushered to the back to sign paperwork, not financed through GM instead a different credit union, now we are at 6%, fine payment only went up $60 for a new 2020 truck, lets sign. We have to come back tomorrow for the SUV paperwork. They tell us it’s ok you can still take it home and we’ll come get your trade in so all you have to do is pick up the paperwork and take it in the NFCU to get the check. Wonderful so helpful. The next day is here, I’m sick and teleworking and playing homeschool teacher for the kids, hubby has to go himself to finish everything for the Tahoe. Well the payment went up $160 they jacked the price to full asking and knocked off $2500 for our trade, my husband thinking that I worked the deal the day before gives them the check and leaves. Now we are sitting with overpriced cars and talked to them today, basically said “you knew what you were getting, we didn’t screw you over.” NO deals were made, not a single promise was kept and we bought TWO new vehicles with a dealership that made a quick sale and screwed us over. You buy two vehicles and you can’t even get a free oil change. Mentioning oil changes, BOTH are at 60% oil life, how does that even happen? Be careful and do not expect them to bend over backwards, they’ll bend numbers though to make it a better deal for them. Typical dealership, they saw a couple come in and said what we wanted to hear but when we are pressed for time and have situations at home, they did what they wanted and came out on top. NEVER buy a car that the sales manager owned, $48k for a Tahoe, that doesn’t even have a second set of keys, but hey at least he upgraded the leather. He was to attached and wanted his money back. Don’t get me wrong, I love it but we were SCREWED! Oh and they did us a favor by giving us $6k in rebates during Truck Month, still cannot figure out how that was a favor from the dealership… that’s why we wanted a 2020 and not a 2019… Pays to do your research, so stay away from this dealership, drive a little bit further and go to Hendricks, I wish we did.

Horrible Experience!

I had the worst customer service experience that I have ever encountered in my life! I had a issue that was blown off (by not returning phone calls and screening calls) because I had already signed the contract. What about repeat customers? You are making quick sales but definitely not making repeat customers. I will never return to Crews Chev. in North Charleston, SC. I will tell all who ask, or inquire about my car about my horrible experience.

Exceptional

I've put off writing this review because I don't know how to put into words how perfect my experience was and continues to be with Mitch and everyone at Crews Chevrolet! A few months ago, on a bit of a whim, I stopped into the dealership minutes before closing time. Mitch took the time without any rush whatsoever, answered all my questions, no problem. I wasn't ready to make any decisions that night and he was still just as kind and helpful as ever. He followed up and left a voicemail and I still wasn't ready and just hadn't gotten back to him. Well about a week ago I had the grand misfortune of dealing with another dealership (cough... rhymes with Jokes) and after 3 days of having to run behind the salesman and them lying and cheating there way into a sale, I was so frustrated and seriously about to loose it! I searched through my voicemail found the one from Mitch. Can you believe that without so much as a full sentence, he knew exactly who I was and even remembered the car I test drove! I explained the issues I'd had with the Jokes people and he said he'd take care of me! AND BOY DID HE EVER!!! 2 1/2 hours later I drove home in my brand new car!! No joke! If you're looking for exemplary service you have to go see 'My Guy' Mitch! Not once did I feel taken advantage of or bullied into buying something I didn't like or want. Mitch is incredibly helpful and genuinely kind! He has followed up with me making sure I love my car! He has seriously gone above and beyond, I can't sing his praises loud enough! Everyone I came into contact with was excellent and so friendly! Bottom line, skip the nonsense with these other dealerships and go straight to Mitch at Crews Chevrolet! Bar none, PERFECTION! You'll wonder how you ever went anywhere else! My family and will only shop with them from now on! Thanks a million times more Mitch and everyone at Crews! You guys are amazing!

I feel as though all my needs were met and the crew made sure I received the parts I wanted. I was kind of upset because my old parts were disposed of without first asking, but, at the same time, I could have stated I wanted to keep them before handing over the keys. Misleading Owners' Manual

The 2015 Impala Owners' Manual for the 3.6 l V-6 said it was not necessary to check the transmission fuid (?!!!). It said "There is a special procedure for checking and changing the transmission fluid. Because this procedure is difficult, you should have this done at your dealer service department." I asked that while the vehicle was on the lift for oil change that I be shown how to check the fluid level. Well, it turned out that there IS a fluid dip stick, attached to the bottom side of the "Fill" cap, and the process to check fluid level is the same as it has been for many years! Crews service techs gladly showed it to me. Thanks to your staff, no thanks to the Chevy Owners' Manual (page 10-12 of the 2015 Impala Owners Manual.
