ONLY place to buy a FORD!

by CharlestonF150 on 06/23/2016

If you are looking for a dealer who puts the needs of their customer first and works hard to exceed expectations... Palmetto Ford should be your destination. I personally worked with Al Floyd on the purchase of a 2016 F150. Al went above and beyond to make this happen, and as a long-time Ford Family... I recommend Al Floyd and Palmetto Ford for your next purchase.

Ford Edge is GREAT!

by skmlg on 06/01/2010

I did some research on Edmunds and liked what I saw about the Ford Edge. I never have bought a US made car...Went in to Palmetto (and 2 others in Charleston) and found the right deal. They were able to find the color I wanted somewhere and I feel I got a fair deal. All the dealers in Charleston seem to be about the same, they took off a couple hundred from another deal I found in Columbia. The sales manager came out and talked to me while I was there, instead of being hidden away in some office, very nice and the only place where that happened! I see a few people had problems with this dealership, but they treated me great, I guess the people who are upset tend to write more reviews than those that are happy?. Never pushy, I feel like they treated me fairly and honestly. Everyone go buy an Edge, really a great car/suv, fits my family well and the ride is outstanding compared to the highlander and CRV that I also looked at.

No Respect from Finance Department, Horrible Customer Service

by enjoyurjourney on 01/15/2008

This past weekend I went truck shopping. Before I actually went to any dealerships, I did some research on both the Toyota and Ford makes and models. I had just left the Toyota dealership when a friend suggested that we check out the Ford dealership. When we arrived, of course we were approched by a "New/ in trainning" sales man, who of course was nice because he had no clue what he was doing. After finding a make and a model that I liked, I was then introduced to the finance guy. After painfully agreeing to a price and listening to him whine the whole time about losing money on an agreed upon price (which come to find out that the agreed price was still way over average) the finance guy continued to flant his experience in the business and his superiority of his position. My friend almost got to the point were he was going to tell the finance guy that it would be better if we just left. In my mind I had decided that it would be best not to make this expensive decision in the hour that I was their and ultimatley a decision that I would have to live with for the next couple of years. I told the finance guy that I would like to do this and upon hearing my response he seemed to get very angy and/or aggressive with the whole situation and was trying to make me feel bad if I did not buy that vehicle that day. All in all it was an experience for me that reminded me that some adults still act like kids and employees reflect the image of the companies products, and this very reason could be why Ford has been struggling to keep its market position in the last 4-5 years.
