2015 Cadillac SRX

Had a great experience with Rick. Was raining our first visit and he was the only salesperson out of 5 dealerships that came out in the rain and asked us what he could help us with. He took the vehicle we were interested in and pulled it inside so we could look at it better and he explained in detail the vehicle. We ended up with him finding us the color, interior color and the wheels we wanted and went and picked the vehicle up for us in Virginia. Couldn't ask for a better salesperson that knew his product.

Excellent Customer Service!!

My 2009 Cadillac had a check engine light that wouldn't go off- when I found out the 'code' and googled the issue, it was found there was an extended warranty for this 'timing chain' issue up to 10 yrs! When I called your service dept., Keith was extremely helpful, was honest about the issue & extended warrantly, got my car in to be repaired as soon as possible, and kept in touch with me daily about the progress! Great Customer Service :)

2014 SRX purchase

it was the easiest car buying experience I had - I was looking at the ELR, but it didn't come in white - if it was in white with dark brown interior, I would have bought it on the spot. they need to offer it in white with dark brown interior. I did find a SRX in white with dark brown interior and bought it that day. great team work on the sales staff! and was surprised that we actually received a good price on our trades, which helped seal the deal. will buy all my Cadillacs at your dealership!

The service manager found two recall notices for my car, and asked me whether I had time to have them downloaded. I appreciated his attention to that matter. My car was washed and ready by the re-calculated time required.

Good service but need better communications

I was pleased with the work but disappointed with the way my service coupons were handled. I made clear upfront I had two different coupons for the two services I was having done. I was not told until after the service was completed that only one could be used. I would have not done the oil change if I had known because it was not needed for another month but I did both as a convenience to me. Frankly, when I take my car to Goodyear for service and I have two coupons, I get to use them both. I did not know that I couldn't hear and really think I should have been told ahead of time.

Cost was reasonable for the work performed. Was able to use coupon for a discount on oil change, even though synthetic oil was used. Pleasantly surprised that minor tire repair was covered by warranty.

Stereotypical Experience

From the moment I stepped into the Salesman’s office until the moment I bought somewhere else, this dealership played all of the car buying games. The Salesman showed me his “invoice” and gave me his best deal, which included a 3% profit over the “invoice” price. I declined and gave him my much lower number. Of course, this needed to be discussed with the Sales Manager, which took about 30 minutes. Then they appraised my trade-in and I will admit that they gave me a competitive quote. But the whole process chewed-up about 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon and we left without buying. When we did find the price we wanted at another dealer, all they would offer was free mud flaps.

Go here if you want your car wrecked

Took my 2008 CTS to Sutliff for warranty service. My suggestion if you do the same, is don't let your car out of your sight. Received notification from the dealer that there was an inicdent with my car during the service appointment. While the car was in their possession, one of their employees ran into a delivery truck with my precious CTS. Sutliff was less than cooperative with reparing my car. I wanted my car repaired quickly (which did not occur), and I wanted it repaired to the same condition prior to the incident without any financial loss to myself. Sutliff never offered me the option to have my car repaired by the dealer of my choice. They drug out the repairs while they bickered over insurance claims with their delivery company, and worse off, they offered me NO compensation for the inconvience of the accident. Sutliff repaired the car, but not at their expense. They submitted to their insurance, and offered me NO concessions or reimbursement at all. They PROFITED from wrecking my car through billing retail for the repairs on their insurance claim. I lost resale value on my vehicle because, obviously the insurance claim is now reflected on what was a pristine and clean CARFAX report for my car. I received NO compensation for diminished market value or the damage to the vehicle history record. So if you want your car wrecked so that the dealer can damage your resale value, damage your vehicle history report, and so they can profit from creating misfortune for you by damaging your property, then I'd suggest going to Sutliff Cadillac on the Carlisle Pike. P.S., I would avoid Cadillac's at all cost now anyway after my dealings with Dealer Relations and Cadillac corporate customer service. They are unresposive, and promised me call back after call back, and not until I followed up repeatedly, did someone finally respond to my concerns. After two more call backs without respose, I was finally told since the repair didn't deal with a warranty claim, they could do nothing for me as their 'valued' customer. The car was in for WARRANTY service when Sutliff wrecked it.
