Save Yourself

by jscott15 on 03/09/2016

Everyone that we dealt with on our initial purchase was very friendly and helpful. They gave us under what we wanted for our trade in but we wanted the car we were buying so we accepted it anyway. We drove the car home and COULD NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER DOOR! At this point the dealer was closed so we had to wait until Monday to contact them. By the time Monday came, we had a chance to take it to a mechanic. The compressor was bad, the front door mechanism was broken, the check engine light was on for firing pistons, as well as other minor issues that we noticed. While I understand it is a used car, I was expecting to be purchasing a car that was safe to drive and that I was able to get inspected. Neither of these were true with this car. They offer a 14 day guarantee. So we went back to Dani's a week later when they told us they had an opening. They did not have the parts for the repairs, they argued with the check engine light and we were sent home after 3 hours with no repairs done. They told us they would call when the parts were in. 10 days later they called to schedule but did not have any openings for another 2 weeks. The day before our scheduled repairs, they called with a miscommunication and want to bump our appointment again. So we are without a safe car, without a car we can get inspected and without the money spent on this car. I would understand if the issues we complained about were cosmetic or did not interfere with the utilization of our vehicle but unfortunately they are safety issues that Dani's feel we need to deal with on their time table. Spare yourself the headache and spend an extra $1,000.00 to go to a reputable dealership.
