Bad customer service

by H b on 07/27/2022

If you going in for service stay with your vehicle. Because they tell you one thing and it ends up being another. Horrible management.

Long wait and service was still rushed

by KB on 06/11/2022

We had an oil change and tire rotation. The service appointment went long which they acknowledged and discounted $25 however the next day driving around my hub cap flew off. And I noticed the rest of them weren’t put back in correctly. Very disappointed in this coming from a dealer.

Deceitful sale

by unhappybuyer7 on 05/04/2015

Came to Nissan to trade in my 2012 versa for another car and ended up having the worst sales experience of my life. This place does not believe the customer is always right and does not strive to hold up their end of a buying deal. The car I chose on the lot had some cosmetic damage and the worst of it all was damaged rims. The salesperson Chris told me he would fix the rims even if he had to take it out his commission so I took the car in an agreement to bring it back to have the rims resurfaced. The next day comes and I speak to Chris about the rims and he says I have to pay $100 for the most damaged rim and he will pay the rest. Then when the shop quotes a price of $75 a rim he reneged on the deal saying it will be all of his commission to pay the amount asked for the other rims to be fixed. He says he will only pay $100. So I say I'm bringing the car back and he says I can't and he can't do anything else for me. This was a deceitful sale and I did not agree to pay to fix these rims with the purchase. I will never buy from here again. The worst salespeople and the managers don't care to assist the customer either. Go to Piazza Honda, much better service and they don't deceive you.

Service was poor

by drcofwc on 09/10/2014

Just bought a 2014 nissan Maxima and noticed that there was damage to the interior control panel for the navigation. There were 11 miles on the car at delivery. I drove an hour back a few days later and both sales and service told me there was nothing they could do. I called nissan customer affairs and they told me that I have to go back and forth an hour to the dealer I bought it from because they were now willing to help me? I kinda doubt I'm gonna get help when the dealer never documented my first complaint. Actually there was one honest service guy who said I should get a sharpie to fill in the scratches and try to forget about it. He said unfortunately the dealer cant help customers unless there is a defective part that is non working. If I saw in the brochure, "interiors may come damaged", I would have never bought a Nissan.

Sell the car........forget the buyer!

by bobynand on 11/24/2013

Don't expect anything from this dealer after the sale!! Within days of delivery I received a dealership Email survey. The first 7 questions were Yes or No with no way to make comment. Question #8 was "tell us your story" and I did. My lengthly reply was negative with specific mention of deceptive 2.5S features that omitted the "sport suspension" feature. Brief test drive did not fully reveal just how harsh the suspension is. No reply ever received to this Survey (?). Within days of that I received another Dealership Email that in part read - "With your vehicles limited factory warranty about to expire..........yadda, yadda. What they were trying to do was sell me an extended warranty on my leased car. My reply though brief questioned if my car had a 30 second or 30 feet warranty, which ever occurs first? No reply received here either. Because of the obvious forget the customer attitude I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs with my major concern. With polite/tactful words they requested I visit dealer service and have them diagnose my concern. Did same and Service Department Worksheet states "Customer states did not want sport suspension. Road tested with customer. No abnormal condition present. Vehicle operating as designed. Could not compare ride to the Altima 2.5 because we do not have one in stock". End result, both the dealership and Nissan Consumer Affairs washed their hands with this deception by simply saying, "there is nothing we can do". Very simply anyone even considering the Altima 2.5S better be satisfied with and want the extremely harsh ride that accompanies this model. Personally this will be the longest 3 year lease of my life time (I'm 76) and will not ever consider Nissan products again.

Buyer beware of the little things!

by spb0169 on 12/06/2010

recently purchased a 2007 Nissan Xterra from Chapman, the sales person was great, very informative, willing to work with me and did his best to meet my needs. My problem started when I asked a simple question about the floor mats. When I test drove the vehicle and even when I was looking at the vehicle on line it had factory "Xterra " floor mats in it. When I went to pick the vehicle up, it was clean and detailed. I opened the door and the first thing I noticed what that the floor mats were gone. I asked my sales person and he said he didn't know what happened to them, but I could BUY a new set for about $150.00 or go get an after market set for a better price. Thus was unacceptable to me, so I asked the General Manager about the floor mats, I was told that when the detailers do the cars if they deem the mats old or worn out they throw them out! He then said I could get a set from the dealer for about $150.00. I declined and asked to have the set I paid for with the vehicle, again I was told they were gone and he had no idea where they went. So far I've written to the dealership and to NissanUSA and have had no response. I know it's only floor mats, but when I agreed to purchase the vehicle it had floor mats in it, to me they didn't look bad at all, the vehicle has very low milage on it and very little interior wear and tear. It should be left up to the buyer as to whether or not they want to keep the floor mats and not the "Detailer"! I don't need to spend an extra $150.00 on something i thought i already purchased. The whole thing really put a damper on my car buying experience. If your buying pre-owned from Chapman Nissan make sure you get it in writing as to what you will be getting with your vehicle once you pick it up.

It couldn't have been easier

by kimba3 on 06/29/2010

We used both local dealer websites and the Nissan website to find the appropriate options available on a 2010 Murano for my brother in law. We heard from most of them through an initial email quote and introduction with no follow up. We visited with a few dealers worked on deals with several Nissan salespeople however we found the staff and experience at Chapman far excelled their peers. The comfort of their waiting area allowed my brother in law who is disabled to be comfortable while we waited for trade in and negotiations. Their sales consultant Norris was exceptional greeting us by name at the door and was anticipating our arrival. They secured the color of the car of interest and were very accommodating to his comfort. Val the internet salesperson was very courteous and prompt and got the car we wanted on the lot and had Norris the sales consultant work with us to get the payment price we desired. I would highly recommend their dealership for sales. Upon picking up the car my sister and brother in law were greeted by a member of management and the service manager who took the time to answer all of their questions. They were very pleased with the process and with both the sales and service sides of the business.

Ugh..Not again for me!

by bond_7 on 04/21/2010

I bought my Nisaan Altima 2.5 S from this dealership which I am still happy about deal. I haven't had much trouble with sales in getting car on same day. Real trouble started with service department. I live 30 miles away from this dealership and I booked my first service with this dealer on my weekend unfortunately I got delayed by traffic by exact 20 min from the appointment. Service advisor refused to service my car because I was 20 minutes late and service manager supported him even though there were no queue of cars available for service which was quite shocking to me. Most of dealers entertain customers even on walking without any appointment. I gave benefit of doubt to service team for first time. I went on time for second and third time and as stupid me I got late by 5 minutes third time and service manager didn't miss chance to take shot at me that I am late and they doing big favor of taking my car for service. I am really disappointed in myself to drive 30 miles to this dealership and get embarrassed by their staff two times. I went to another dealer ship this time and I intentionally went late by 30 minutes at their dealership. Surprise on they were very courteous and professional and sounded very happy to take me as their customer I realized this time I am at right place for service and I am NOT GOING BACK TO CHAPMAN NISSAN EVE!!!!

Don't go to service department

by jecht70 on 03/20/2009

I used to like servicing my car at Chapman Nissan. However, for the past two times servicing my car there, I was disappointed with the service. Even though the mechanics were doing pretty good job, I feel like I was cheated. Imagine being charged $90 for twisted seat belt, $200+ for what they say "resetting the rotor" but the fact they only cleaned them up and some other unnecessary small charges. I ended up paying more than $300 while at other place it's under $150. To make things even worst is that they are accepting car for auto body repair and then drive it 30 miles away to a different auto body shop own by the company, resulting confusion to the insurance agent who would like to stop by to inspect the car. Long story short, I will never go back to that place again.
