Broke my car and refuse to fix it

They broke my car and refuse to fix it. Took my car in for the same check engine light I get every 1.5 years (3rd time now) that they claim is somehow always something slightly different then the last time they worked on it so they don't have to comp me free service because they cant figure out what the actual problem is. But I played nice I still paid. While they worked on my car someone super heated my positive battery wire and didn't tell me, i could tell because the electrical tape on it was like goop. They returned the car and when I went to start the car it wouldn't turn on they told me the battery is bad and even 3 jump boxes couldn't fix it. Well in 2 minutes I found the battery cable had to be moved around like a bad phone charger cable to get the car to start. So I brought it back and said someone heated this cable up somehow (maybe a jump box put on backwards or something) they said oh yea one of the techs told us one of the battery cables got really hot. I said okay well please replace it. They did not. They replaced the battery blamed it on corrosion and blamed it on my 4 gauge Amp power wire that I had already flipped the circuit breaker on to take it out of the equation. They told me the car was now good and my wife and kids drove it home and it died in the middle of an active street putting them at risk because this dealership refused to admit their mistake and replace the cable they melted. I called them and told them what happened and they said it's not their problem and I would have to pay if I want it fixed. The level of unprofessionalism by all employees involved and the lack of integrity by the Ford technicians working on my car to come forward to admit their mistake has left me in awe. This dealership is a disgrace to customer service.

awesome service

After a whole day of test driving and being treated like I don't know what I'm doing at other dealerships...I unexpectedly found my red convertible mustang on the showroom floor! My salesperson Brian was very attentive. Stan the manager who has helped my family's purchases gave me the utmost respect while sealing the deal...I am so excited and grateful for their expertise! I will proudly recommend John Kennedy ford as my own brother did to Me!!!!!! Thank you I feel like teenager again!

Recall notice

Was ready for me when I came into the office. Melissa assisted me since Ed was off that day. Received a call around Noon to let me know the car was finished. Melissa explained the bill to me as well as advising me about my tires and be mindful of the next visit. Told me a sticker was on the windshield as a reminder for my oil change. Excellent Customer Service

I brought my 2014 Focus in for transmission trouble. They reset the Trans computer. I'm still experiencing the same trouble so I think I have to bring it back in. Customer service was excellent though.

Great Service

My sales person Joe Shockey was one of the best car sales person I have ever dealt with. He was kind and very helpful and worked with me to get the car I wanted at the price I needed it to be at. He wasn't pushy like most sales people can be. This is the second time he has sold me a car and I would go back to him in a heartbeat. I would also recommend him to other people I know who are looking to buy a car.

Disappointed

I've had always had a great experience at John Kennedy Ford till this last one time. My experience due to the fact that Ford the manufacture placed defective spark plugs in my 2007 F150 lariat 4WD and refuse to fix the problem. So in turn the dealers didn't unite to fight this issue for their customers, instead they but the responsibility of cost on the customers. Charging $50 for every spark plug that breaks during removal. In my situation 4 broke and was going to be charged $200 for something that was broken during repair. Knowing how wrong it was to charge customers that much for something they broke, I was only charged for 2 broken plugs. I appreciate the discount but its still ridiculous to charge the customer for something that was broken during a repair. That's like hiring a contractor to do repairs on your home and he accidently brakes a window while placing siding. So he adds it to the cost of the repair. How is that fair to charge the customer for something they broke. Someone needs to fix this issue.

great service

The service was wonderful. I was taken on time and enjoyed watching TV in the waiting room. From start to finish I received nothing but courteous service. I had a question about my service plan,and it was explained to me in detail,even bringing to my attention things I was unaware of. The rep was very helpful. I have a 2013 ford edge,which so far has performed like a rock star. I thank all the staff at John Kennedy Ford for making me feel like a valued customer.

New Truck

I purchased a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat FX. So far I am very happy with my truck. It has great features and amazing performance with the 3.5 eccoboost engine. It is important for me to tell you that my salesman, Shawn Powers, was great. Never once did he pressure me into anything and he answered all questions that I had. Great service

My vehicle broke down and I was stuck on the roadway. The dealership reminded me I had free road service. The road service got my vehicle running and I drove it to the dealership. While I was having it fixed (found out my battery was dead due to the kids charging cell phones with the engine off). I had routine service done. The staff was helpful and pleasant. It could have been a very frustrating situation if not for the help and assistance from the service department.

I was in the market for a reliable, used, SUV to replace my vehicle that was recently totaled. The 2008 Ford Edge I went in to test drive had everything I was looking for, but I wasn't sure I was ready to make a purchase just yet. My sale associate, John W.M.
