Best price - period.

I used USAA buying service to find exactly the Outback that I wanted with the options that I wanted and then let the process work. (note that USAA Buying service is actually TrueCar in disguise). Roberts came back with a price within an hour, and the buying service said that it was a very good price at that. Two other dealers came back with "let's come in and talk". One finally coughed up a non-competitive price after I went in and played the salesman/sales manager game. The other wanted to add options that I didn't want saying that I'd eventually thank them for door edge guards, etc. No thanks! They never did quote a price. I drove to Roberts, got a fair price for my trade in, and went home with a new Outback. Been buying cars for 50 years now. This was one of the easiest dealers to work with.

A Great Sales Experience

If you're looking for a Subaru then your first and only stop should be Roberts Subaru. From beginning to end the entire sales process was easy. There was no pressure or hidden sales tactics. I worked directly with Alex Todd the whole time. He was polite, respectful and genuinely valued me a customer. All my questions were answered and he spent a lot of time reviewing all the features on my Impreza Sport while the paperwork was finalized. Not many dealerships offer service like this. I definitely recommend Alex and Roberts Subaru.

Go somewhere else

Found a nice Mini Cooper on the website. Called and spoke to Jim algeo . Made a appointment for Monday 3rd . Arrived and test drive the car . I let Jim know that I was interested and he let me know that he'll do my credit check and get back to me this afternoon. Jim called and told me he can get me in the car with $1500 down and $259 a month . I told him we have a deal and that I'll call back in 20 minutes to let him know when I'll be coming up. When I called back he did not answer or call me back I called 3 more times after that with no answer for Jim. He finally called me back 3 hours later and told me he sold the car to some else that afternoon . Roberts Subaru has no loyalty! Jim didn't even have the decency to apologize! I tried a dozen times to talk to his supervisor . A sales manager name Greg . He also would not return my call. Bottom line is go somewhere else

Honest & Fair Dealership Service

I've been dealing with Dan and his group of technicians for over a decade. They've always been upfront and honest about what our Subarus needed to keep them running strong. It's very hard to find a good shop that you trust with your cars. I'm very lucky to have found one with factory trained techs. It's why I continue to have only them service my cars well past the warranty period. I highly recommend Roberts for all of your Subaru service needs.

Excellent Buying Experience

Went back to Roberts Subaru in Downingtown for my 4th Subaru (3rd from Roberts) and the sales experience was painless. I was able to order my car since there weren't any '17s on the lot yet and received a very fair price on it along with all options and accessories. Worked with the Sales Manager Greg to order the car, Anthony their Business Manager on the paperwork, and had Mike as my Sales Consultant. All were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. At no time did I feel pressured into anything. I was given an 8-12 week lead-time when I ordered the car and I took delivery one day before that 8th week hit. The car was prepped and had only 5 miles on it! Mike gave me a thorough crash course on all of the features and helped get my phone synced up before we left the lot. He even followed up a couple of weeks later to see if I had any questions about the car and to see how I was liking it. I've recommended both the brand and this dealership to several friends and family members over the years. Their experiences continue to be possible like my most recent one was. Often times when researching products or service providers online you're faced with a lot of negative experiences as that's when people are most likely to go the extra mile and write a review. But I've been so happy in my time dealing with the group at Roberts Subaru that I wanted to spread the word that they really are that good. So if you're shopping for a Subaru and they're an option (we have 5-6 dealers within an hour's drive) I'd recommend giving them a shot to earn your business.

subaru service - recall & inspection

Took my 2015 Legacy for service from a recall notice. Appt was first thing in the morning so I could make it to work. Ended up having an early meeting so was offered a loaner for the day. They took care of my inspection that was due within the month (I didn't notice) so their efficiency ultimately saved me from having to return another time. I appreciate the wonderful service and consideration for their customer's time. Extremely happy customer.

Upfront and honest Dealership

I was very impressed by the level of sincerity this dealership showed me. I can honestly say this is what persuaded me to make my decision to purchase a new Subaru. Chad Vail was upfront and honest with me every step. I felt a level of trust with every communication, by email and phone. He understood what was the most important to me and worked with me on my trade. I went to 3 other Subaru dealerships. Chad was the only one who called me and sent an email the day after visiting Roberts Subaru. It's this detailed level of customer service that I find deserving of my business. The financing and paperwork went very smoothly. Greg Slye did an excellent job explaining to me everything before I signed any paper. He made me feel just as comfortable during this process. I hope the owner of Roberts Subaru recognizes the level of professionalism Chad and Greg bring to his team. I will continue to use Roberts Subaru for all my maintenance needs in the future! Thanks again for this very positive experience!

My wife and I recently purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester from Roberts. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. We arrived at the dealership with no intention of buying a car (my wife even led with the statement to the sales agent, 'Hello, I don't want to get your hopes up, but we're not buying a car today'). As fate would have it, we signed for the new car that day. . . Our sales agent, Taylor, was very helpful. He let us try several cars, and gave us enough space to make a good decision. We were initially interested in a Crosstrek, but we weren't fully sold on it. Instead of finding something more expensive or trying to upset us, Taylor worked with us to fid the right car in the right price range. Definitely a model salesperson. When we picked up the car, Taylor also gave us a thorough walkthrough. Again, very courteous. My one complaint with the experience was the signing/finance. We spoke with the finance manager who didn't seem to have all of the necessary paperwork correct. For instance, my wife and I were unable to pick up the car immediately, so we put a $500 deposit on the car that we were told would not be deposited. In fact, we were told that they would 'rip up the check' when we picked up the car; the check was only to hold the car and to ensure we would not back out. When we came to sign the paperwork, however, the $500 was listed as a down payment in addition to our trade. We ended up counting it toward the payment, but it seemed a little disingenuous that we would be told that it would't be counted for anything, and it was included in the paperwork. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, and my wife and I would recommend this dealer to others.

Amazing Staff at Roberts!

Chad and the staff of Roberts Subaru were great to work with. Very professional and polite. I couldn't be happier with my Impreza and the ease of the whole process. I highly recommend Roberts Subaru, especially salesman, Chad Vail and Sales Manager, Greg Slye. They will make your car buying process comfortable and a breeze! I'm glad to be a new member of the Subaru family!

New Subaru, New Honda from Roberts

I bought two new cars within 6 months. The Honda salesman and the Subaru Salesman gave his BEST price right off the bat and it was actually less than what I expected to pay. I did not want to get some fluffed up price forcing me to haggle it down which I hate having to do. They offered their 'extras' (extended warranties, etc) and when I declined neither salesman was too pushy with it, which is another thing I hate. If you don't want to haggle and don't want high pressure extra sales pitches you will be happy with this dealer.

I recently brought a 2015 Crosstrek Limited. I was very pleased with the friendliness and willingness to get the exact car I wanted on the lot within a very short amount of time (less than 24 hours). I did not feel pressured into a sale; which made the experience one I could enjoy. Greg was amazing! My wife and I just recently bought a new, 2015, Subaru Outback from Roberts Subaru, Downingtown, PA.. Chad Vail, our young salesman, was personable, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and not pushy. He did a fine job and we were pleased with how we were treated through the whole experience. Prior to going to the dealership, we got a prompt estimate of the proposed car costs from Alex at Roberts' internet sales department, after first doing our homework with Edmunds. The closing experience went smoothly and we bit for some of the car warranty offers, since these warranties have saved us a bundle with other cars in the past. The extended warranty is always just a matter of customer preference. Taking or leaving the car extended warranty offers doesn't alter the pleasant experience we had had with Chad in sales, Anthony in finance, Kim in the service department and in the welcoming tour. Everyone needs to make a living and to feed their families, but not everyone is kind and runs their business with a caring and relaxed attitude. Roberts Subaru was a nice place for us to have purchased our new car. We intend to use their service department as the miles are put on our new car. In the end, we have a solid Subaru, a decent dealer and a good memory of the way we were treated. The 5-stars out of 5 was an easy rating decision on our part for Roberts Subaru. It was nice to hear the words, "Thank you for buying your new car from us," instead of the typical "There you go" and "No problem" comments that we all hear so often at so many places. Thank you, Chad, Anthony, Kim and Alex.

Subpar

The reason no one feels hassled is b/c you literally have to hunt someone down to help you. My husband & I felt like we were constantly being juggled, ie. our salesman was helping us and another couple at the same time. If I am buying a car, I want your undivided attention. They really should hire more salesmen. They didnt have a huge selection of different makes and models in stock and our salesman seemed to get confused about when they would actually be on site. My trade-in was appraised way below value and they werent willing to budge. Their loss! My husband and I both purchased vehicles from another dealer & couldnt be happier. I would Never Ever go back here.

Very happy customer

I recently bought a Subaru at Roberts Automall i Downingtown, and I have to say that I have never had less hassle when buying a car. They did not have the car I wanted on the lot so they arranged to get the car I wanted from another dealer without any additional cost to me. They gave me fair market value for my trade-in (KBB value). The salesman I was working with was very interested in listening to what I wanted and explained in detail some of the features that were new to me. Once the car was ready for pick-up, the paper wirk was easy and quickly handled and they even set up my first service appointment. One thing that I really appreciated was that they weren't pushy, in trying to sell me a car. It actually felt like they wanted me to have a car that was great for me and not something that they would make a nice bonus on. I can definately say that I will be back when I need a new car. Thanks for a pleasant car shopping experience.
