Mercedes Benz of Lancaster, PA’s website was super easy to navigate to make my appointment and the service team quickly took in my car for its annual inspection and scheduled service. They also took care an outstanding service bulletin issue that I had been putting off. Happy to have my car back good as new.

Dan's "The Man"!

I had the good fortune of dealing with Dan Strete as a salesman at MB Lancaster. Throughout my multiple visits to the dealership, Dan was courteous and knowledgeable, sincere and straightforward. He's an asset for the dealership, gaining my respect and business as a result. The other staff members I had engaged with over the course of about 10 days, were professional and made everything simple and easy for us. The dealership had vehicles and choices available and was, overall, a pleasant place to do business with. Kudos to the entire establishment, actually! I cannot imagine how the whole experience could have been better! Well done (and I don't normally arrive at that conclusion very often, anymore)!

Exceptional Service and Quality

I’ve owned two Mercedes C300’s over the past 8 years and always had my cars serviced at Mercedes Benz of Lancaster with Ryan Sweitzer as my service advisor. Each time the work completed by Ryan’s team of techs has been exceptional, completed in a very timely manner, Ryan has always communicated with me in detail the work being completed, and gone above and beyond to answer all my questions and concerns. From door sill panels to engine wrist pins, to axle replacement , to a full transmission replacement, i’ve always been pleased with the end result and process of service done by Ryan and his team. I highly recommend them for truly exceptional service and will continue to share the quality of work I receive.

Excellent Sales experience

I had a terrific Sales Person experience (Jin), a terrific Finance Manager experience (Ashley), and a terrific Product Specialist experience (Taylor) recently. And the car is great too!

Poor business practices

Horrible dealer. Dealers like this is why people hates the car buying experience. I drove from out state and they not show me the vehicle because they had some one coming see vehicle from out of state. They did not even have a deposit on vehicle. The salesman Marshall Sanders never offered to hold vehicle for me. But other salesmen must do this because they are just looking out for their commission. Benjamin Proler told me I could not even look vehicle over because someone might be buying it. Sales manager Johnathan Steffy should have done the right thing but chose stand behind his salesmen poor business manners and complete rudeness i was literary their ready to write a check, no financino, no trade, no b.s. but they would not take my money don't waste your time

Rob in finance answered ALL of my questions and explained everything to me. Lastly, Taylor with the concierge service, helped find the car and explain everything my car is capable of! I bought Used - but it may as well have been New

While browsing the lot one day, I met and fell in love with a 2015 GLA. My sales rep, Lorie, was so friendly and did not try to steer me towards a newer / more expensive model (I did that on my own, LOL!). We test drove 2 vehicles, including my GLA, and talked about my trade-in: a 2010 Scion Xd . I had done some research regarding its trade-in vs. private sale values, and was intent on trying to sell it privately to get a few more $$$. Sight unseen (other than a texted pic) Lorie provided me a number, which I contemplated for a week or so. I decided to try selling it privately so I let her know this, citing the KBB nbr. It's important to note here that you must be honest with yourself when using KBB or any other site, as misrepresenting your car's options, condition, miles, etc...will only lead to disappointment! I put the word out and let it sit on the back burner (got busy at work!). Lorie contacted me a little later, just checking in on my status: I told her what I was asking pricewise, and again - site unseen - responded shortly later, matching my price to the penny! I was stunned ~ in 30 some years of car buying, that had never happened! They hadn't driven my Scion or physically inspected it, yet felt comfortable matching my offer. Fast forward a few hours and an online credit application later - I gathered my documentation, cleaned up the Scion, signed a lot of papers (lol!) - and left with my "new" GLA. :-) This was my 2nd used car purchased here (I still have my 2008 ML350 - she's fantastic!!), and someday I'll buy a 3rd :-) The Pros: - they valued my time & wishes, and didn't steer me to a vehicle I couldn't afford or didn't want - they streamlined the financing process by suggesting I do the online app prior to arriving...what a timesaver! - Ashley provided in-person training on all of the cars features (a lot!) in a fun, friendly manner - Rob (Sales Mgr) had all the paperwork ready to go, and explained each and every document :-) - NO surprise fees or options!! - the dealership had already completed the 30,000 mile service, even though there were only 28,000 miles on the GLA. Saved me another trip out in a month or so!! - treated me like their "best" customer, despite me being in Saturday attire (umm: crappy sweats & a sweatshirt!) - offered drinks & snacks :-) - have loaner cars when mine needs to be serviced - so many more, but this is long enough!! The Cons: easy - this dealership isn't in York!! Come see for yourself why this is my dealership of choice for any & all things Mercedes related!!

Customer Service Above and Beyond

I recently drove two hours to this dealership to purchase a trade in they received that perfectly met my needs except that the car was a manual transmission and I had not driven manual in 25 years. I had the blessing of working with Andy Fox who patiently spent time giving me a refresher course on local roads. I was still quite apprehensive about getting the car home to Delaware and navigating the narrow and hilly roads of Lancaster. Andy went out of his way to help me and brought the car to me in Delaware on his day off!! His service to me was sacrificial and he did it all with great kindness. I am so grateful to have been paired up with someone who was so willing to see that my needs were fully met. This was hands down the best car buying experience I've ever had.

Positive New GLS550 Purchase

Let me start by saying no, I have no incentive to write a negative or positive review. I had a very positive experience at a car dealer (yeah, I know a car dealer) and want to share it. This is extremely long winded, however I could have greatly expanded on things. My wife and I drove a 2004 Honda Pilot with high mileage. I say this fact as car dealerships seem to form a quick opinion of you based on current vehicle. We also don't dress to impress, which seems to further judgement in stores and car dealerships. The search: We knew that we wanted a premium level SUV. When it comes to dealerships, we have been to a large majority of the Mercedes and BMW dealerships within 100 miles of our zip code (excluding the NY area). Virtually every one of them had one thing in common regardless of brand, they all seemed to feel we were tire kickers that couldn't purchase what we wanted. In many cases, sales people would be out on the lot when we were there and not acknowledge us - even when they'd walk right past us. Luckily we found that dealerships close early on Saturday and are closed on Sundays, thus we could look at cars without the brush-off. During these weekend trips we narrowed our list to the Mercedes GLS550 and GLE550e. And then... We timed it incorrectly on a Saturday and ended-up arriving at Mercedes of Lancaster while they were open. We walked through the showroom using a back door to avoid what we expected to be typical sales reps. We were not approached until on our way to the front exit. I was lagging behind but my wife was approached by a rep asking if he could help us. That's when we met Curt Brown. In our conversation with Curt, he walked with us while we talked cars and his background. It felt like a 'real' conversation and that he actually took us seriously. We left the dealership in our old Pilot after talking to Curt and him providing a GLS brochure. Jump ahead to the next Friday and I emailed Curt to tell him we actually wanted to get together and talk specifics of our desired build. Since this was my first brand new vehicle, it was going to be exactly as I wanted. We got together that evening at the dealership where Curt arranged for a GLS550 to be ready for a test drive and then discussion. We walked through what I wanted, we discussed whether some of the numerous options I had in mind were truly needed given Mercedes engineering. Curt asked good questions and provided good feedback. Then came the final price conversation. Like most people, I had researched various pricing sites, forums and read dealership reviews. I had an idea of what I was expecting to pay for this heavily optioned car. In my email to Curt earlier in the day, I had stated I don't like the whole dickering and negotiating process. After we had discussed the general vehicle and options pricing, I of course asked, "OK, that's great, what's my price?" Curt got out his calculator, worked all the numbers and turned it around to show me the price. It was lower than I had expected based on my prior research. This obviously won me on price, but there's more to it than the car price, all was clearly identified on the sale form and no ridiculous dealer fees to be found. With the build we wanted, it necessitated ordering vs. buying off the lot. Curt gave me a realistic date to expect delivery, and actually beat it by a couple weeks. He has consistently responded to any and all emails immediately. I had some pretty specific requests regarding how the car was prepped and processed for delivery, which Curt followed to the letter. Now, the day of delivery arrived and we were late for our appointment. Curt was engaged with a customer at his desk, however he recognized us immediately and offered us the keys to our new vehicle since we had requested it remain locked while on the showroom floor. We hadn't been to the dealership in two months since ordering so I was impressed he remembered our faces. While Curt was finishing with his other customer, we walked past the dealership VP's office. The door was open so we stopped to introduce ourselves and tell him how impressed we were with Curt's interactions and service, as well as the dealership's cleanliness in all areas - including the shop. This guy wore jeans and a long sleeved T-shirt (my kind of guy as I was dressed similarly). From top down at Mercedes of Lancaster, everyone we have encountered has been down to earth - normal people - that are there to simply take care of customers and their vehicles. There's not the typical pressure I expected nor the snootiness that we have experienced at every other Mercedes and BMW dealership. I told both Curt and Frank, the VP, that I'm waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop as the whole experience was beyond expectation. Bottom line, I felt that I was treated as a person, as was my wife, and that we got an extremely fair price. Curt is always there for any questions that we may have, including after the delivery. I'm not one to be easily impressed, but this is one of those extremely rare occasions. James

Apparently Not Worth Their Time

My husband and I went looking for an entry-level luxury car (CPO C300) this past Saturday. We test drove one and they worked us up some numbers. The payment came back higher than we were looking for, but they told us they would talk to their finance manager and some other guy about the price on a different c300 and get back to us on Monday. Well, I guess they either thought we weren't serious, thought we couldn't afford one of their vehicles, or just flat-out didn't care about our business. It is Wednesday evening and we have not heard a word back from them. That's ok though. As soon as we left MBofL, we went down to Faulkner BMW and are now the proud owners of a beautiful new BMW 328i. It was like night and day, the way we were treated at each dealership. It's a shame that that's the attitude Mercedes Benz has about potential customers. I was on the fence between a Benz and a Beamer, but now I know I made the right choice. Story short: If you go here, dress nicely and flaunt that you have a lot of money if you want to be taken seriously.
