run around

I was told that we had he car and loan multiple times for over a week that all we had to do was sign the paper work. We drove down again on a very snowy day with bad roads to go give the down payment and sign papers. while there I asked again about the loan and was told yes we had the loan and car. While there awhile another man came out and said they could not get us the loan. So after a week of being told we had the loan we ended up walking out with no car. The salesman Malcolm could not even face us , he stayed in the corner office with his back towards us. So much for good customer service.. Very disappointed

Hey Hey My peeps in the Ville n surrounding areas , if U r looking for a new or used vehicle to purchase U seriously need to stop in at Jim Sipala, KIA in Coatesville. I came in to pick up My truck from service n had issues (not bad issues) Jim Sipala happened to hear My concerns n he ushered Me to visit w/General Manger, Tom Burrows who gave Me a new vision. Tom handed Me over to Mr. John "Johnny" Toledo, Sales Consultant of KIA of Coatesville. Without going into My details, I am riding like a Queen on All four wheels. Responsible for a trade in and a new car

I would not recommend sending anyone I care about to this dealer. As of 32 days after trading in a vehicle I have been hit with a negative standing on my credit due to Kia of Coatesville not writing the check to pay off the trade in car for OVER A MONTH. And keep in mind they were in no hurry to fix it because it doesn’t affect them and I was promised by the lead salesman that he would get me an insurance quote to help me out and never followed through. So thank you for another terrible car buying experience..

Horrible

I went to purchase a vechile from this dealer and was approved for financing signed the paper work and left with a car I thought everything went well until a week later when they said their was issues for financing they didn’t put my employer correct number down at first a few days later called and told me I’m about to have no car and need to bring the car back I just signed the contract for when I called to return the vechile early Monday they said my old car was on its way to the lot and it wasn’t later that night I got my car back after I gave the new Kia back and my old car inspection stickers where scrapped off and they wouldn’t put the stickers on theirnto make it legal to drive forced me to drive the car off the lot with no inspection stickers on my car when the stickers that where on their before where still valid until the summer.. after I got my car I looked around my car and realized the rear dock speakers for behind the back seats speakers where gone and the bracket that held the speakers where gone also they left the cut wires from the speakers hanging down inside my trunk... I would not take business to this dealership a lot of fast talkers and the manager is unprofessional along with most of the staff

Don't trust this dealership!

I like my KIA Sportage, but this dealership is not trustworthy. Bought the car expecting a BSP (Blind Spot Protection System) I was shown by the Sales Manager Mike Reitano himself only to drop it off and they installed an aftermarket system. They lied about the whole transaction to Kia Corporate. I understand that my sales person no longer works there appeasing KIA I assume to protect the Sales Manager who is not truthful. The car was delivered without the full detail required and paid for and not clean. So much for dealer prep! Once you agree to buy the car all the nice comments, conversations are gone, they got you! Wait too long to complete the deal, well over an hour and a half. They did not care, they had my trade in, my keys, we me having to wait and wait. The comment from Mike the sales manager Mike Reitano when I complained about the BSP system not being what he and the sale person showed me and sold me was actually an aftermarket system that KIA Motors does not approve of or condone, was "it is what it is". I can only imagine what the service department would be like with a culture like that. Don't buy here, not trustworthy, the typical Pressure from a dealer that wants to get you on the hook and could care less about being fair to the customer. False advertisements are there specialty too, get a TV or get a grill, things if that nature. Don't fall for it. When I complained to KIA, they advised me that the dealership should not have done that but they are privately owned and they can't control how they act towards customers but appreciated the concern and noted another complaint angsint KIA of Coatesville. Avoid the lies, the bait and switch and go to a reputable dealer. KIA does have a nice product.

An aggressive sales pitch madates that you shop around.

Kia of Coatesville and West Chester are aggressive in their sales pitch and inflexible in pricing. The sales manager literally hovered within in earshot of us and the sales person. They were inflexible on the MSRP and stated that Kia dealers hold the line implying that it was a corporate policy -- like the old Saturn pricing model. Kia of Coatesville then ups the MSRP for etching in the window of the VIN that serves as a "theft deterrent." They add $399 to the sticker price of the car for what appears to be a standard application. As you walk out, they offer to let you drive the car overnight, knowing that might seal the deal. Don't do it. I went home and shopped the car on line asking for quotes from Kia dealers within 50 miles of my hometown. Kia of Lansdale offered an $1,100 discount. Kia of Wilmington offered a $2,000 discount. I went back to Coatesville and asked if they could match Wilmington. I got an email saying that they were matching it, but they were still $1,500 over the quote from Wilmington and still charging for the etching that I really did not need. Punch line -- Kia of Wilmington had the etching, but were not adding it to the cost of the car. Bottom line. Go to Kia of West Chester or Coatesville if you want to try on the car for size and check out available option. Get their price. Do not buy. Go on line and shop the make, model and packages you desire. We saved over $1,600 when you factor in the sales tax. The sales person was personable and knowledgeable, but the sales culture is aggressive and inflexible. They will also really pitch a two year warranty package for extraneous issues, including a First Aid Kit you can get at any CVS cheaper. They also pitch a coating for $895 that can be purchased and self-applied at a far lower cost. And, they will not negotiate even when faced with a lower quote.

Great Experience

I went in knowing what I wanted but my salesperson Sharif gave me an optionon another vehicle but not in anyway did he not have my best interest. I even tho I didn't choose his option I know he was just trying to get me at the numbers I was comfortable with and I felt no pressure. In fact he got me a better vehicle and educated me on getting my monthly payment lower than I would be paying. Great salesperson, patient, aND didn't feel pressured at all and I got a great 55 Inch TV out of the deal..go there and ask for Sharif and tell them Lawrence Jones sent ya.

Horrible Experience

Horrible dealer. If you want to be lied to and ran around go to this dealer. I would stay clear away and go elsewhere. They will tell you one thing and change it the next minute. There prices are allot higher than other Kia dealers and they are not professional at all

God is good

First off I will start off by saying that I am happy that I went to Kia of Coastville, I had a car, but needed to give it back since the finance company would not finance me at a different Kia company. My salesman Sharif was Awesome, I told him my issue and he tired to help me out. I got down there and he talked to me not like a salesmans trying to just get his numbers. He helped me to get into a 2016 Kia Forte and I love it. My new car with only a few miles on it. Starting over it what God had in plans for me and I was sent to Sharif to help along the way. 2016 Kia Forte Baby Oh Yea.

i was looking for a another vehicle because mine was becoming to much of a problem. I looked in a used car book and saw them advertise, guaranteed minimum 5,000.00 for your trade. So I went there and they tried to blame the banks for not honoring their own advertisement, in which I told them then that's seriously false advertisement and they need to take that out of the papers. After all the bull, they tried to talk me into financing a brand new Soul which apparently was damaged in a truck fire, they claimed they knocked the price down because of that. According to them if the Soul wasn't damaged it would of cost 5,000 more then the other brand new ones. And it wasn't even a high end one. I left that night, pissed off. I did go back 2 days later because I really had no choice. I brought the paper again about the guaranteed minimum of 5,000.00 for your trade. They only gave me 1200 for my trade, with a 1,000 dollars down and snuck in a 24 percent interest on my lone. I know I was desperate, and took advantage of that. I never go back to them again. I don't recommend any go there for business, their all [non-permissible content removed]s all the way up to the owner. Worse then the buy here pay here guys down the street from them. I ended up with an Acura where they refused to sell me any warranties on it.

Sexiest salesman

So my husband and I have been looking for another truck. My husband is a Ford guy. Recently Kia of coatesville had two ford model trucks that were of interest. We test drove one and told the salesman that we were interested and would be back the next day with our personal information because they were getting ready to close. Upon returning in the morning, they sold the vehicle. We just looked at the second ford that we were interested in. My husband was at work so I brought out information down and scheduled a test drive. The salesman said well whose truck will it be. Naturally it will be both of ours and we would both need to be comfortable driving it. While waiting for my husband to join us he wouldn't allow me to test drive it saying are you sure you can handle it? My response was I have driven bigger a school bus to be exact so I think I can more than handle a pick up truck. I am still here and he just came out and said that someone just called in and bought the truck, like how does that work? I will be spreading the word to family and friends to not do business with Kia of coatesville or its affiliates.

I bought my 2010 Kia Soul from this dealership. I moved out of the area last year and now I'm in Delaware. I just returned last week and Dave Koch sold me my 2014 Kia Soul. He explained all the features. He and his Team helped me with the financing so it is affordable for me. The guys were infinitely patient!! It was worth the drive from Delaware to come back to the dealership I know and trust. I'm so happy with my new car!

SNEAKY GUYS WATCH IT

Was there to check out a car. Has scratches and dents so I told them that should reflect in the final price. Sales guy says "its a used car dude" i was shocked how he said that so I just brushed it off. We then went inside to talk about purchase price. When i gave him a fair offer he said i see why you have been to so many dealers. In other words told me my offer was a joke and did not take it serious. (It was 900 less then asking price). After 3 hours,managers,and owner getting involved we got a number to agree on.It was the car we wanted so we got numbers in somewhat of a ballpark close to what we wanted to pay. As I am signing papers they rushed and tried to add $900 to the final price. I told the guy in finacial he was wrong and that is not the price i agreed too. He says "opps sorry i messed up" if i didnt catch it at signing i would have been screwed out of the money. Stay away from this place. Theres others that will do better for youy

Immature sale team and sales manager

I have nothing good to say about Kia of Coatesville. After chatting with the sales person about a specific promotion and confirming it was available for the Sorento we decided to drive to Coatesville to look at 3 of their vehicles. After meeting with the salesman again, having to explain what I was looking for and my must haves, on our walk over to look at a Sorento he tells us the promotion is only for the SX model. When questioned why he did not state that when we spoke with him earlier after knowing it would take a good hour to get there, his only response was, “We are just to do whatever it means to get you to the lot.” He proceeded to ask questions again what I was looking for, if I really needed a 3rd row because they are not useful, and I should consider one without it. He said, he would show me a few that should work for me, but also suggested that I look at a Hyundai model. I said, when we spoke I specifically said I only want to look at Sorentos. His response was “Just Humor me and look at the one I have to show you.” I had a 14 month old with me, so I did not have time to waste just so he could show us things we were not interested in. After that we decided to speak with the manager, of which all of the sales people continued to stand around his desk and just smiled when we were complaining about our sales person and the lack to explain or come forth about a promotion. Tony the sales manager, said that is how it works, we refer to the ad and get you to the lot. That is all that matters. As we were walking out the entire group of sales people and manager were laughing. My husband confronted them, “Asked do you think this is funny?” and Reggie, replied, “Yes I do”. I hope the upper management team of Kia of Coatesville finds this funny too when they learn they lost a sale and that we will be making sure to share our experience with others!

Terrible

The car they listed for sale was stated to have been inspected without any body damage. Prior to purchase I asked the salesperson to walk around the vehicle and inform me prior to driving out if there were ANY issues with the car visually. He confirmed he had walked the vehicle and that there were no issues. The front hood was dented with numerous scratches around the vehicle. Additionally they stated they performed a thorough inspection and that the car was good to go. Upon taking it for inspection there was a leaky shock that they never disclosed and certainly knew about. They were not friendly... smiling when you lie is not friendly. I would NEVER trust them for anything again!
