onI was in a car accident caused by another driver and suffered injuries just 4 days before Christmas in 2022. I finally was able to start looking for a car last week and discovered C. Harper Honda on Carfax. I never thought I would buy a car online, sight unseen - because I couldn't get to the dealership - but they made the process seamless and amazingly easy. I purchased a 2020 Toyota Corolla SE at a terrific price with low mileage. After talking with some of the nicest people I've ever encountered -- Chuck Calcek (my sales consultant), Hannah Gumbert, and Hannah Barno -- Chuck and Hannah G. personally delivered the car to me even though I was some miles away. The paperwork was all prepared, so signing was easy. Chuck familiarized me with the car and even programmed my iPhone with Bluetooth! I felt totally comfortable and happy with how well they treated me as a customer. I highly recommend this dealership.

Disrespectful, bigoted salesman

onAbsolutely disgusted by my experience with the salesman Rudy and this company. -He asked me to roll my window down and call someone walking by "gay" -He insulted my weight and politics -I had an hour and a half drive so I called ahead to let them know I was coming to look at a specific vehicle and let Rudy know I had an hour and a half drive. He called me an hour and 20 minutes late to say that the vehicle was sold several days before. -He informed me I could not purchase a manual transmission Civic in my deal range. So I went to Valley Honda in Monroeville and received amazing service, respect, and a deal ON A MANUAL HONDA THAT CAME IN WELL BELOW MY DEAL REQUIREMENTS. Stay away from this bigoted, disrespectful company at all costs!

onI have bought a lot of cars over my lifetime, and this I must say was THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD BAR NONE!!! In December 2019, I was a NC buyer looking across multiple states via Cargurus.com search engine for the perfect 2018-2019 slightly used Honda Accord EX-L. I got my Cargurus search narrowed to like about 12 cars that were within 500 miles of me. The best deal by $3K was a certified pre-owned 2018 slightly used (8k miles) Honda Accord EX-L located at C Harper Honda in PA (6-7 hours north of my home in NC). I reached out via the Cargurus contant system about the car to see if it was still available. The C Harper team quickly allowed me to text back and forth with them via my iphone (which I prefer verses talking to people initially). We were also later emailing back and forth as needed. They confirmed the car I wanted was still on their lot and they quickly responded and answered all my many questions about the history of the car, the condition, the features, etc. I never felt over-pressured during this initial contact experience, and I never felt like I was being lied to or deceived. When I asked for and then received the out-the-door sales contract from C Harper, I was shocked at how little the overhead fees on top of the advertised sales price were, as that is where many car dealerships try to screw the unsuspecting customer. The sales price on the car was already a jaw-dropping 3K below other similar model and trims and about 8K off the original MSRP price, so I had no inclination to negotiate anymore below that price (it was beyond a GREAT price already). Once I felt comfortable this was the car for me, I had my wife immediately transfer the required funds to my checking account and then I preceded to get a certified bank check cut from Wells Fargo to take with me. I then immediately rented a car and drove to C Harper up in PA (6-7 hour drive). The C Harper dealer agreed to hold the car for me while I drove up for a $500 down payment refundable if the deal didn't go through. I stayed in a hotel in Morgantown over night. When I arrived at the dealership at 9am the next morning, the car was outside the door and clean and pristine and ready for the test drive just as they had promised. The car was in perfect condition. After my test drive, all of my questions were answered about the interior components, and they allowed me to look under the bottom of the car with it up on a maintenance bay lift. Everything about the car checked out to me. I then had to wait around 30 minutes as the final paperwork was prepared by the Finance Manager. As I waited, everyone was very nice and cordial. Then once I went into the Finance Manager's office, there were no unexpected hidden charges or pressure about up-selling things I knew I didn't need -- much appreciated!!! Once the paperwork was done, I quickly thanked everyone, and I jumped in my new car with a temp tag and headed home to NC. I think the total time at the dealership was approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours and I got every question and every expectation met with complete honesty and professionalism. I also used Enterprise car rental to drive up there from NC to PA, and they have an onsite Enterprise turn-in there at the dealership, so that worked out perfect for me. One Negative. If I had any gripe at all, I would say the "dealership policy" to not fill-up used cars with a full tank of gas upon sale completion is a little stupid. Think about it this way: Putting $15 - $30 bucks of gas in the car as a nice convenience to the customer after they hand you a check for $23,000 seems a little silly doesn't?? The outstanding C Harper Honda employees that made my experience 5-star that I would like to thank personally are the following: - Haley Sampson - Internet Sales - Initial contact and help with many questions including providing a helpful video-walk-around and pictures of the car. - Nick Drahusz - Salesman I worked with - Nick went beyond the extra mile to ensure I had all questions answered, was comfortable with the transaction, and checked on me getting home safe. - Jeff Varney - Sales Manager - supported Nick through the entire experience and answered any further questions I had. - Steve Berkowitz - Finance Manager - did a great job with the paperwork complications of saleing a car to a buyer who was from out-of-state. He was also extremely honest and gave me money back because I had actually been qouted an out-the-door cost that turned out to be a little higher than it finally turned out to be. You can never complain when getting money back in your pocket. Again, as I stated above, Steve added no hidden or complicated fees to the sale, and was very honest about everything including the car warranty, state-to-state title transfer, state tax, temp tag, etc. If you deal with the above team of experts you will be in EXCELLENT 5-star hands. I will definitely recommend the C Harper Honda dealership to anyone and everyone in the future!!!! Thanks so much!!! Nathan G. 12/14/2019
