Best experience ever

I had the pleasure of working with Christi at Cadillac of Portland. I went in by myself to test drive the 2019 Escalade. Christi stayed late to administer the test drive and was more than patient while answering all of my basic/numerous questions. I went back a few days later with my pregnant wife and two boys so my wife could test drive it with everyone in the car. In addition, I made sure that we were working with Christi. I purposefully kept quiet during the second visit so my wife could ask any and all questions she had for Christi without any interference from me. Once again, Christi was beyond professional, extremely patient, all while still taking the time to engage my two young children about anything and everything (I.e. not just the car). After confirming that the Escalade was our top pick, I started price shopping. Christi was unbelievably prompt in returning my calls, texts and emails with all the pedigree information. The car buying process was NOT completely smooth, however. We wanted an Escalade ESV with 60/40 split bench seats for second row (apparently these are fairly hard to find in platinum ESVs). I had multiple sources looking for the vehicle we wanted, the only one who had success in finding it was Christi. I recently returned from the dealership where I signed all the paperwork, confirmed scheduling to pick up the car, and to finalize everything with the sales manager, the financial admin person, and the GM (and of course Christi as well). It was an absolute pleasure working with everyone at Cadillac of Portland. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone who's even remotely interested in shopping for a new and/or used vehicle. I work with a lot of sales people in various industries on a day to day basis, however, the experience I had at Cadillac of Portland was easily one of my all time favorites.

Dishonest. Broken promises.

DISHONEST. I'm not using this word lightly. Many years ago I got an inside view of the fraudulent practices of local auto dealers, and I was hoping for the best when I called Cadillac of Portland. I paid full asking price, in cash, for a lightly used vehicle. During the test drive, Lori mentioned that the vehicle was still under factory warranty, AND that it also had a 60 day/3,000 mile dealer warranty. She also explained that the second key fob was in their "vault" with the owners manual. Then, Lori introduced me to their finance manager, Corey Castner. He pressured me to take out a loan. When I declined, he told me that any problems with the vehicle would be MY responsibility. (Later, I confirmed that I do still have a factory warranty.) So, why lie to your customers, and risk your reputation, if you are a local business? Because it is profitable, but only in the short term. Stupid and disrespectful. When I prepared to leave, I noticed that the second key fob was not in the vehicle. Lori told me that they didn't have it. Also, the front floor mats had disappeared during the cleaning process. Lori told me that the detailer could not find them. Total cost for me to replace these two items will be over $500. I asked Lori to appeal to the general sales manager regarding the missing items. She promised to call me Monday the 19th. Today is Sunday the 25th and I've not heard from her. I will never return.

Worked out a deal entirely through email and got all the pesky paperwork out of the way as I live in Vancouver. They were quick to respond and help with everything and only took 30 minutes to sign and get the car when it was all said and done. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the dealership was exceptional!

Surprise Purchase

Not intending to trade in our 2004 Escalade with 204,000+ miles, decided not to endure another repair when it was in the Cadillac of Portland shop. So, my wife called Dale in sales and started picking out what she wanted for me for my birthday. Three hours later we had our fabulous 2014 Escalade upgrade. We were leaving for Central Oregon two days later so Dale did a great job directing us right to the perfect vehicle. We were going to downsize, but after having an Escalade for 12 years we could not resist getting a newer Escalade as it is definitely a luxury SUV. Dale assisted us in a very professional manner, even helping us with a warranty package. So, we are now sitting by the fire in Terrebonne Or knowing we have safe comfortable transportation.

Everyone we encountered during the buying process at Cadillac of Portland was terrific. Real people with senses of humor, empathy, insight and visible concern for our customer experience. Leading the way was Larry Porter, our sales consultant. Larry has an exceptional service mentality, knows his product, is a class act and an all-around great guy. He helped us narrow choices, select the right vehicle and went further than necessary to help us, on several occasions. To me, "sales" is effectively matching a customer's need and desire with products available, a fair price, and a smooth, efficient and pleasant buying process. Larry did this, and we couldn't be more pleased. In addition to our unexpectedly enjoyable experience, the car is pretty darned cool too. Incorporating all elements of our time with Larry and other member of the Cadillac of Portland team, from beginning to end, I can say we are extremely satisfied.

I live in Miami and found a car I was interested in purchasing from Cadillac of Portland on Carguru.com. Purchasing a car online can be a little scary but after reading their very positive reviews online I decided to take a chance because I really loved the 2015 Cadillac CTS they had to offer. Their salesman, Larry Porter, was fantastic to deal with! He gave me a great price and was easy to reach anytime I had a question which was very important to me since I was purchasing from thousands of miles away. My car arrived today and I am thrilled! It was better than advertised! Thanks again Larry, I can't reccomend you guys enough...

Tom Abalan, Sales specialist, had been keeping an eye out for a Escalade EXT for me for months. I received a call from him mid August with news he had found the gem I was looking for. He was right! The price and trade-in was right and I was treated as the valued customer I expected. The truck was beautiful and I now own it. Great team effort with everyone I worked with in the process. I wanted to say I had the BEST experience at this dealership. I know my credit was not the best, but i was treated like a human being, not just a number. Thank you Timothy Orr for being just you. Polite, honest, answered all my questions and even ones i did not know I had. Very knowledgeable and informative. You are a great sales person and I never felt any pressure, just courtesy and kindness. The Finance manager with the watch is Awesome!! Thank you also to the guy who talked to me about my options at the end. You are a great group!!!!!

My buying experience at Cadillac of Portland Oregon

The car I bought a XLR was priced at a zero defect car it was not. If I was buying the car from any old dealer I would have looked it over alot closer. As a Cadillac dealer I took it on faith that it would be a zero defect car. It has a glaring defect in the paint and upolstery put you have to look close. It can be repaired but I shouldn't have to for the price I paid. They didn't want to provide a second transponder and didn't I had to locate and buy it myself. They gave me a partial return for the transponder. The salesman and finance people were the best the Manager was not. Infact he was very rude.

Wonderful Experience!!!

Sales person Lori Tilton was very helpful and professional! She was informative but not pushy. Very honest lady! Cadillac of Portland had a large selection of new-used vehicles. Prices were competitive, even offering the "Costco discount" to Costco members. Our experience with this business was both interesting and enjoyable! Kimberly Lakey was very helpful with the paperwork. Manager Phillip Cienna was cooperative pricing the vehicle we bought!

Lori Tilton, saleswoman, was super ! She cared about our wants/needs, was concerned about the smallest of details for us, and was extremely knowledgeable about the SRX. We had been at other dealerships with other sales personnel prior to our visit here and by far, Cadillac of Portland exceeded in all areas ! We will recommend this dealership and Lori to all we know.
