Advertising cars they don’t even have

Saw car listied at the dealership on Edmunds. E-mailed the dealership with the vin # and asked if it was available. Sales rep sent an e-mail with “We have it!” In the title. The dealership is in a different town, so texted rep to set up appt to see car & sent a pic of the actual listing that showed the vin # & price. Told rep if the car wasn’t there, to let me know so as not to waste time driving there. Showed up for appt. Rep was busy & car wasn’t there. Mgr said it was sold 2 or 3 days ago. Dealership proceeded to try to sell same model in another color with more miles at a higher price. There was other gameplaying around trade in value too, but to much to explain. Bottom line, if you are up to the archaic pre-internet shenanigans by old school car dealerships & have plenty of time to waste, this might be the place for you. If you are uncomfortable self-advocating or have low tolerance/lack of patience for gameplaying or have a hard time recognizing when the “deal” is great for the dealership, but not great for you, it’d probably be better to use a car broker or one of those no haggle dealerships.

Great sales experience

We were met by Beshara Shahin when we visited Gresham Subaru. What a great experience! We were just looking, but we left with our dream car, a new Outback. Not only were we treated well during the sale, but we have been invited to come back and let them teach us about the special features we didn't understand. GREAT job Gresham Subaru!

Great Experience

My wife and I went to the local Subaru dealer to look at their new models. We found the car we liked and reviewed their “only” price. We also went to the Subaru web site and selected the model and options we wanted. Eventually, Rami from Gresham contacted us and he met our target price range, which was much lower the the only price available from the first dealer.

We bought a brand new Subaru Impreza wagon here last year and had a wonderful experience! They were very quick and gave us a great deal on our trade-in (they gave us about $3k more than we had expected!) and a great deal on our Impreza! It turned out that it was less expensive in the long run to buy a new one rather than a used one, so they got us the best price on a new car that best met our needs and in the color we wanted. :-) We were in and out of Gresham Subaru in less than three hours, test drive and all, and the whole experience was so nice that we will continue buying our Subarus here for years to come!
