New vehicle purchase 2024 Chevy Colorado

by saw72893 on 04/21/2024

Our salesperson Cameron was phenomenal. We had looked at vehicles with him approximately 21 months ago and appreciated the information he provided and our communication with him. We were happy to bring our business back to Cameron. He is a top-notch person who I would do business with again. The one concern that would not allow me to come back to Wilson Chevrolet is the Finance Manager. I really should have walked out on him for not being honest. He lied to me and basically blew it off. I was upset. He tried to tell me that the General Motors Financing APR which was above 9% was the current industry standard. That is BS. I check with three (3) different banks that I currently use, and all of them provided me a preapproved loan with none of the APRs being over 6.9%. The load I was prepared to use was USAA which gave me a quote of 4.72 which is phenomenal in this market. I even considered buying two (2) vehicles this week, but the finance guy was a huge turn off. Let's save you $1200 off the price by financing with us, but he, you'll pay over $300 per month to start. This is a concern area with Wilson Chevrolet, which will probably cause me to cease using this dealership. I am sure he never even ran a credit check on me, to see that I had a 827 credit score. This was just horrible customer service. No worries, I just wrote a check for the vehicle and bought it outright. If it was not a gift for my son who was with me, I would have walked out of the business.

Dishonest, or just incompetent?

by LSmithOK on 03/17/2020

I felt uneasy about going here again, but I decided to give it another try - that was a mistake. I used to own a 2013 Chevy Cruze, and every time I brought it in for an oil change I was told about another engine problem that I had. Finally, I caught a technician in a lie when he told me I had "negative oil pressure" (that isn't a real thing), so I left and promised myself I would never return. Fast forward two years, and I have a different car (2014 Chevy Cruze) and decided to bring it here for an 8:00am oil change and a 9:00am diagnostic check to find out why the lock/unlock buttons weren't working. I was told that, if the diagnostic took less than one hour, I wouldn't be charged for a full hour. I thought this was a fair deal, since it should be just a quick fuse check. I had to call hours later, at 1:00pm, to find out why I haven't received an update; the person on the other end of the phone (I think his name was Basel) told me that they're still working on it. I asked how it could possibly take them four hours to track down a fuse issue, and he told me that they weren't working on my car for the full four hours. I asked why, then, I scheduled to bring it in at 9:00am if it meant I'd be without a car the entire day, and he said it's taking longer because "we don't know what you did to it when you were trying to fix it yourself." Wrong answer - I didn't "do anything" to it, I simply opened the fuse case and noticed one was missing. He told me he'd have an answer for me soon. Fast forward further, and it's now 3:30pm. I call again, wondering what's going on. I get my call returned at 4:00pm telling me I can come pick up my vehicle. I go there, get the car, and I'm told that it was just a fuse that needed to be replaced, and that they'd only charge me for one hour of service instead of two - as if that's some sort of favor. Why was I billed a full hour of service for just changing a fuse? Is that really how slow things move around here? Why did it take an entire working day to get my car back for something this simple? I scheduled it early in the day thinking I'd be able to use my car at some point to do other things, but that plan went out the window real quick. This whole place feels very dishonest. I knew I should've trusted my gut the last time, and now I'm out $120 for simply changing a fuse. I always thought going to a dealership was the best way to get your car fixed right, but I think I'm going to take my chances with a local shop from now on. Highly disappointed, I won't be back.

Very friendly service department

by Wiley & Ann on 05/21/2019

I recently had my 2016 GMC Acadia serviced at Wilson’s and I don’t want to ever have it taken anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and they do an excellent job too. My husband and I are always treated very well. We will continue to use Wilson’s as our dealership.

Great, as always

by K.Williams on 03/12/2019

The front end of my car was bouncy and I thought shocks. It was the struts. The service appt was on Friday and they kept me informed via text (my choice; they would've called as well). They knew I had an extended warranty and were able to tell me that this service was covered and what my deductible payment would be. While they didn't have the parts then, they would on Monday. They kept my car and gave me a loaner to drive for the weekend. Monday, my car is back and as good as new. The bill was exactly what they told me in the text. It's hard to find car service you can trust and I trust Wilson's service. My car, a Traverse, is the first Chevy we've owned because of their service quality with my Saturn.

Warranty repair

by Ryon V. on 08/24/2018

Took my truck in for warranty repairs. Rear passenger door lock was broke, driver side seat belt adjustment also broke, loud popping noise around rear end area and annoying ticking noise coming from under floor board when driving any speed over 30. Only two of the issues were fixed. The broken lock and belt adjustment. To get rid of the popping in the rear end, you now have to grease the leaf springs every week or two... Never had to grease leaf springs on any of my other trucks. My biggest complaint was all the grease in my back seat. I took pictures but am not able to load them. The seat had a substantial amount of grease from the technician that worked on it. Luckily I was able to get the grease out. Would be nice if GM had a better fix than greasing the leaf springs every other week so it doesn't sound like you are driving an 80's model pickup..
