Made things more than right-great dealer

by PatriotBuyer on 01/12/2019

My previous review is a bump in the road. it was the result of mutual misunderstanding actually with Hyundai corporate. This dealer is great. I recommend them 100% and will try to remove my previous post.

Accepted my offer than backed out

by NotaPatriotHyundaiBuyer on 01/03/2019

On Dec 31, 2019 I used dealer WEB pricing to pick a 2019 Kona via email and phone. I was very clear on my offer and the exact incentives to apply. Drove one hour to pick up and close deal, waited one hour for finance office to "open up" and 7 hours after my first discussion with Patriot one of the rebates (shown on their online posting), was suddenly not valid. 1) Tell me this 7 hours earlier 2) Do not make and my daughter drive and hour, sit an hour, apply for financing with perfect credit, ad to insurance then come up with a new price Unprofessional. Even if Hyundai had ended the down payment matching program on December 15, why did every dealer in the USA still show it on January 2? I tried to resolve with GM. No go. Wow.

A horrible display of Customer Service

by dezigner510 on 06/27/2013

Recently I shopping to lease a small car for commuting for work. After some quick research I decided Hyundai was a pretty good choice. Malone was chosen because there dealership is well within a comfortable driving distance for my family. A brief history about me, I have a problem of loving cars. I have bought, leased, sold and traded many many cars in my relatively young age. I have seen all the tricks and or scams for lack of better words. Saying that I have also had my fair share of wonderful car dealerships to work with..... This was NOT one of them. IT started with a simple visit to the lot to look at the car I was interested in. A salesman approached me (took forever) and asked how he could help of course. I told him I was interested in leasing and I told him my payment range and the car I wanted. He took some of my info and while he was doing that I started asking some pertinent questions to the lease. i.e. end of lease terms, excessive wear and tear rules, and mileage restrictions. He then proceeded to tell me he didnt know much about leases and there dealership had only done a couple in the 3 years he had been there. I should have stopped right there but he was a nice guy so we kept on. I asked again if he thought he could be in my price range and he said his finance guy was gone he would have to find out tomorrow. 5 minutes later he said his sales manager might know a ballpark, great. He leaves comes back and says "yep, looks like it shouldnt be a problem" Day ends there. Next day I try to call dealership 3 times with no return call from salesman. By the end of the day he texts me and says hes off work today I would have to talk to sales manager. CAlled again left message, no return call. Next day, I drive down there, lay it allllll out. Look, I want this car, you said we could do it so lets get it signed. BTW my credit was a 679. Not perfect but not horrible. He says "ok" I have to wait on the finance guy though because he has someone with him. 30 min later......a guy comes out and says "Hi I am such and such, I am one of the finance guys but the manger isnt here." I cant answer your questions because I have never done a lease. WHAT?! The sales guy just told me you could??? He apologizes and says we can get you accurate numbers tomorrow but let me try and figure you a ballpark estimate. 25 min later......sales guy comes back and tells me the payment is $100 higher per month than previously quoted AND I have to pay an extra $1000 down. Whoa.....you have got to be joking. I realize you were ballparking the other day but this is WAY off. He says sorry I am trying to do what I can. right. I say, Ok just for fun lets see what the finance manager says tomorrow. Next day, I receive a call I couldnt answer because I was busy at work. Listen to voice mail and its the finance manager telling me really rudely that my payment is this.... and my down payment is this... CAll if you have questions. He quoted me even $30 a month higher than they had told me the day before. hahaha. I was done at this point but I wanted to call him so he could explain to me where he got this info from becuase he obviously knew nothing of capitalized cost, residual value or money factors or anything of leasing. 3 calls later, 2 voicemails and a rude conversation of me chewing out the receptionist I didnt here from [non-permissible content removed] until the next day. Salesman calls me and says "Hey man, are you ready to come pickup your car"? This dealership will also be reported to Hyundai from me as the WORST car buying experience i have ever had. Also to note, I have owned 25 cars some bought some leased. This deal was the worst. BE AWARE!
