onThis is my second purchase from this dealership. I bought a 2019 Ascent from them and have done service with them on that one since we purchased it. When it was time to purchase another car, after test-driving 4 other cars, we chose to buy another Ascent and get the 2023 model. Alyssa was our sales agent, and she was knowledgeable, professional, and we really enjoyed working with her. We have been happy with our experiences at this dealership since 2019, and would absolutely recommend them to friends.

Service a Breeze

onPretty straightforward. Took my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek in for 12k service which was, by the calendar, way overdue, as the pandemic and family illness have severely curtailed my driving. The dealership extended my warranty period to accommodate my situation, which I appreciated. I waited in their lobby as the service was performed, which took no more than the promised time. An employee even brought me a fresh brownie. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and professional, turning a long-deferred chore into a breeze.

My 3rd Outback

onI purchased a new 2020 Subaru Outback on 12/31/2019. This is the third Subaru I have owned and the first time I have purchased from FLow Motors in Winstin Salem NC. It was the best purchase experience I have had from any of the Subaru dealers I have dealt with. I had done a lot of research online regarding the fair price for the model I was buying and the trade in value for the car I was trading. Flow offerred prices that met my expectations and were sgnificanlty better than other dealers in my general area, without having to haggle over trade in values and discounts. They located the exact car I wanted at a nearby dealersip and said they would arrange to get it for me, This was on 12/30/19 and I was to return on 12/31/19 to finalize the paperwork so that they could get the transaction in for 12/31. I did not expect the car to be ready for me since they were getting it from another dealer and I had not brought the title to my trade in with me. I was surpirsed that the car was ready and had been preped for dealivery when I arrived ant the daelership. We signed everything and the saleman, Shane, helped my transfer my stuff from the old car to the new and followed me home to pick up the title on the trade in. It was as very good purcahse exprience.

Horrible experience

onI bought a new 2017 Impreza from Flow. Had two engine rebuilds before car had 13,000 miles. Car is using 1.5 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. Dealership is incompetent and does not support the customer. Dealership also cheated on both oil consumption tests by overfilling crankcase with oil. Put 6 quarts in an engine specified as taking 4.7 quarts. Gold plus extended warranty is worthless.

onStopped by to look at the Outback after having a less than desirable experience at another dealership( not a Subaru dealer) which lasted days before I gave up. The salesman was great, no pressure, we took a 20 minute test drive and he explained every aspect of the vehicle. I brought my wife back a few hours later ( since I was shopping for her) and drove the Outback home. As I told the entire team that night best experience ever buying a car.

onSo there I was (true story), driving my 8-month-old pregnant wife and Labrador across the country to our new home to start a new job. Sunday afternoon our 2011 Outback thrashed in death woes and came to a halt outside Winston-Salem, a place I’d never even heard of let alone been before. A tow truck dropped us off at Flow Subaru and I arrived stressed and anxious first thing Monday morning hoping their service department could fit me in their busy schedule. Shane greeted me, saw my concern and heard my story, and next thing I knew the head mechanic (Dave) popped in early to take a quick look. A long story follows from here, but all that needs to be said in this forum is that I have never had such an outstanding customer service experience with a car. Shane is “the man” and took excellent care of us, and many months later our Subaru (which was not in good shape) still runs like a champion, a testament to the mechanics at Flow (who, as it turns out, have a remarkable reputation in the Subaru world). I would not hesitate to return with any concerns, and when it’s time to upgrade cars, I will make the 3-hour trip to visit them. –Jonathan D., Goldsboro, NC

Terrible Service, Rude Management

onUpon arrival we waited 30 mins before anyone even spoke to us that worked at the dealership. We were ready to buy and knew what we wanted. The manager had a bullying attitude and tried to sale us a car we did not want. He continued to talk to us like we were stupid and told us that he didn't want to even have black cars on his lot because of the "acid rain". We wanted a black car. He finally talked us into taking a test drive in a car that was similar, with a promise of working with us on price if we got the car off his lot. We fell in love with that car and was ready to buy it. Once it came down to numbers we expected him to be true to his word and at least negotiate with us somewhat on the price. They only offered us half of what we have been offered at multiple dealerships on our trade in and was unwilling to come up. Also, he then said he could do nothing for us on their price like he had promised us previously. Our salesman was wonderful but other than that we would never buy a car from this dealership as long as they employ management with the ethics we experienced. 3 hrs of our life wasted that we will never get back!
