Do your research and double check everything before buying. Not satisfied
by 09/14/2022
onPlease do your research and price compare. Look vehicle over. I purchased my 2018 Mazda CX-5 while on vacation. When I got it home I noticed the car started making noise from the rear and had a vibration. Took it too a Mazda dealership in my state and turns out the rear tires are shot and the front ones are not far behind. Contacted the guy who sold me the vehicle Ozzie and he said there is nothing they can do. So they sold me a car with the bare minimum tire tread. Now in my state it won't pass inspection. Also come to fine out the car they sold me value is not worth what I paid for after receiving all the denial from the banks. Not a satisfied customer. I would not buy anything from them if you do look it over real well and price compare. I'm disappointed they will not make it right and put new tires on the vehicle. Left message with the manager Phillip and he has not returned my call.

Stay away from this shady dealership!
by 08/04/2022
onVery disappointed with the overall experience with Capital Nissan of Wilmington. This dealership is shady. 1. Forces you to buy packages from them who you cannot opt out for (triton care $600 and nitrogen fill tires 200$) for which they offer warranty. Not telling you that the ceramic coat part of their triton care started coming off 2 weeks after purchasing the car. I only washed the car by hand and never took it to the automatic car wash with big brushes. 2. I asked to speak to a manger multiple times. Every time, i get the same response: the manager is in a meeting and will call you back. Never got a call back. 3. The salesman (Ozzie) said the car has a 90 day - 3000 miles warranty from the dealership. When I got there, they said there is no warranty with the car because it’s over 100.000 miles. 4. The car had 0 gas almost in it. Asked for them to fill the tank up, response was:”we only fill the tank on brand new vehicles. Used cars don’t get any.” 5. The car started smoking on the exhaust lots of white smoke. The second day after purchasing it. They acted like nothing happened and they never met me. Stay away from this dealership!

Great experience
by 12/09/2020
onThis is an outstanding dealership. I can make this statement because all the people that I came into contact with were terrific. My internet representative was Hailey Klutz and my salesperson was Ethan Walke. They were tremendous. The one outstanding quality that stuck out to me was there was no pressure to purchase a vehicle. There were 3 trucks that I was interested in and Ethan was very patient and we test drove all 3. This took time but I was never hurried. I made the decision on the vehicle for my company, a 2016 Ford F-150 with 28,300 miles on it that looked like new. They gave me fair value for my trade and I drove the vehicle back to my company. Instead of the vehicle purchase experience being stressful it was indeed a pleasure. I highly recommend Capital Nissan of Wilmington and don't forget to ask for Ethan Walke. He is a true professional and I look forward in working with him on any future puchases and would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends. Thanks again Capital for a job well done.

A+ Experience
by 12/05/2020
onI bought my 2020 Nissan Maxima Platinum from Capital and had a very pleasant buying experience. I love the fact they give you free lifetime oil changes and enrolled me in the NitroFill program. They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and all your questions are answered. They even got out some paint I accidentally got on my center console. Jerry Todd is the best! My last car was a 2007 Altima SL and I put almost 190,000 miles on it. I never had any major mechanical issues with it and will be a loyal Nissan car owner for life.

Leasing - Nissan Rogue
by 12/03/2020
onCapital Nissan was very helpful in facilitating the grounding of my Infiniti lease and helping me select a new Nissan vehicle that meets my current needs and use patterns. Brody smoothed the way with a video tour of the vehicle he thought I was looking for - and he was right - so I had a good sense of things before my appointment. He and his colleagues were helpful, knowledgeable, very cordial, and responsive. Everything was accomplished an a couple of hours and I couldn't have been more pleased then - or now. The vehicle is perfect for me; Brody introduced me to the person I'll come to for service; and I feel part of the Capital family.

onI recently took my car into the dealer for service and the staff treated me exceptionally well. Charles Howard, my service advisor, went out of his way to make sure all of my concerns were addressed.

Faulty tires on preowned vehicle
by 11/03/2016
onNEVER EVER buy from this dealership..I am a single parent and.bought a Nissan Quest van in July...had 2 weeks...went on trip out west had blow out in Kansas City at 1 AM with 4 children in car...sat on side of road for 3 hours waiting on deputy to come help us...once Nissan Capital opened called them, was told to drive 86 miles to nearest dealer on spare tire that went flat while at hotel...finally got assistance from a tire dealership in Kansas...they had to order 2 tires and we had to stay extra night in Kansas, lost money for hotel we had booked in another state, plus 400 for tickets to Grand Ole Opry...once van was taken for tires, the service man stated that these tires were worn out...took pictures of tires (belts were sticking out on 3 of the tires) and sent to Capital Nissan...their reply was the tires passed inspection..the service man said there was no way that 3 of the tires passed inspection, they were totally worn out...once I arrived back in Wilmington, I contacted Larry Brown at Capital Nissan....I told him of the problem and sent him the pictures of tires....after multiple attempts to speak with Larry again, he stated that he had talked to Franco and a Mr Woods and they would pay for the 2 tires...I asked him what about the others and reimbursement for all the additional costs incurred due to their faulty tires...never heard another word, would not return any of my phone calls....now my other tires are getting ready to blow and Capital Nissan is refusing to supply the tires, said too many miles have been put on vehicle...(documented tires were worn out 2 weeks after I purchased car I guess from sitting in garage cause van was not driven over 50 miles from date of purchase till trip 2 weeks later...went to dealership on Saturday to order tires (leaving tonight to go on trip), was told they ordered them as I was standing there...now I find out tires were never ordered, supposively the person I talked to on Saturday was fired on Monday...tires were finally ordered yesterday and will not be in until late today or in the morning....I have appointments for in the morning in another town. That I CANNOT reschedule...having to drive with 4 kids tonight on faulty tires that Nissan Capital has been made aware of since July....if they blow out Nissan Capital will be responsible for any and all injuries that may occur....bet their families are safe in their cars....

Ron, don't walk away from the Service Departmnent
by 03/27/2015
onI brought my vehicle here for routine service and repairs until I realized how flagrant the Service Department is in recommending extremely expensive and totally unnecessary repairs. After the Dept. told me I needed all new gaskets, needed new windshield spray jets because mine could not be repaired, and finally told me I needed a WHOLE NEW ENGINE, I took my car to a Raleigh dealership. The Raleigh dealer told me that I should not have gotten new gaskets because my records showed that I had gotten new ones only 20,000 miles prior (this is a once in a car's lifetime type of repair), they easily cleaned out my windshield spray jets, and told me after extensive diagnosis that I certainly had no need of a new engine, but that I needed an "O" ring to stop an oil leak. This is the same oil leak that I took my car back to Nissan four times for repair, and they NEVER could repair the leak. My car is in great shape now after working with an honest service department. I have never worked with a group as outright fraudulent as Capital Nissan Service Department.

Not impressed at all.

onShopped this dealer for a Rogue. Started with internet. They gave me a big speech how they were going to work hard to earn my business and how they are striving to be the #1 Nissan dealer in the Carolinas. In my opinion, they are terrible and I would not give them my business. I went to lease a car and asked them questions like "what is the capitalized cost of the car" and "what is the rate". They actually responded with things like: "it's a lease so there is no rate" or "there really is no cost". I've been leasing cars for years and I know what I'm doing - how insulting to treat me like I'm stupid. They actually wanted MORE than the sticker price for the car - now that's a joke to me, really? I ended up going to Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach and they were fantastic. I dealt with them online and by phone and they never once did not answer my question or jerk me around. I told them my price point/offer on the lease and I asked them to say "yes" or "no" - they said yes. They worked to earn my business whereas Capital Nissan just wants "suckers" if you ask me. I would not recommend Capital Nissan at all. Also, walk into the dealer ship and all the sales staff are on their cell phones texting, etc. I mean, come on..clearly, they don't need the business!
