Delwin was very helpful and knowledgeable and provided us with all the information we needed to buy the right truck for us. He wasn’t pushy and was very friendly. He guided us through the entire process in a very short period of time (maybe 2 hours total between arriving and looking at used vehicles, to test drive, financing and driving away in our new vehicle). We made the drive from Greenville because we saw online that they had more used inventory than many of the places we had gone to in Greenville and this was well worth the drive. We intended to purchase a used truck but Delwin was able to use rebates and our military service to get us in a brand new truck for less than a used truck we were looking at from another dealership. Thank you so much for supporting our veterans and first responders. We would definitely recommend Doug Henry Chevy Ford Tarboro to our friends. Best car buying experience we have ever had.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado from Doug Henry. We drove an hour from home just to go to Doug Henry and was not let down. Our salesman Neal Joyner was awesome. Despite the rain he followed me around as I looked at every truck they had on the lot and even gave my wife his umbrella. The amazing experience that I have had with Doug Henry started when I first walked through the door. Everyone was so welcoming and interested meeting my needs and desires. This is what I love the most about this company is they are more concerned about the customer than they are about the sale. I just wanted to give a big shout out to Mr. Kris Jolly, Mr. Jared Price, Ms. Elizabeth Jones, and the wonderful staff members of Doug Henry Chevrolet. I drove down from Chapel Hill on 6/2/15 with the hopes of working a good deal on their 2015 Torch Red Chevrolet Z06. I was met by Jared and Kris upon my arrival. My trade in vehicle was a 2015 Corvette Z51 2LT. Kris and Jared were very professional and we basically came to agreement on a great deal literally within 15 minutes after my arrival. I can honestly say that I have never had a car transaction go as smoothly as this one did. I received an awesome trade in value for my Corvette, and the price of the Z06 was thousands below any other dealer that I had previously contacted. Everybody was so nice and friendly and very professional. I highly recommend Doug Henry Chevrolet without the slightest reservation for anybody looking to get a great deal on a car or truck!! While buying a car from Doug Henry Chevrolet I took it through a thorough test to make sure I knew everything about it that was wrong. Car already had some minor issues I would have to pay out of my own pocket. But I made sure Doug Henry fixed all of the major issues that popped up during the test drives, should've took that as an omen. I will from now on. But don't you make the same mistake. Throughout the entire process of test driving, sales staff shrugged off obvious issues such as wobbling from unbalanced wheels and bent rim, also came up with excuses when steam was coming through the supposedly newly sealed gaskets. It's just oil it was said. Had them relook at these issues: rebalance tires, check rim, check gaskets, check alignment, check strong smell coming from brakes. On the second test drive, the rim and the gasket issue still remained, as well as the alignment problem. Had them redo that. When I purchased the car, I pointed out all the repairs I would have to make and asked if they could bring the price down, they did not budge, I was only able to make a compromise that they fix the bent rim they were trying to cover up.(Not all they were covering up obviously). But I still paid their full listed price. I left with a very bad feeling and regretted making the purchase, being pressed for time as I was then. Now to the real issue! I understand cars are sold as is. But when you are told a repair was done and given paperwork saying that a repair was done, I believe you should back that repair up with a guarantee or at least be an honest businessman and fix the mistake. But here's what happens at Doug Henry Chevrolet of Tarboro. The car all of a sudden develops dry rot on the tires and a tire blows while out of town, only three months after purchase. During my looking up the vehicle I had seen that NEW TIRES were on the ad posted. I don't have this in written form anywhere so no way I can prove that to them. However a week later the a/c goes out. This, I had proven paperwork on. They had given me a sheet that showed they replaced the entire a/c unit, costing them hundreds of dollars. And now, after only three months of use the A/C is out!? Well this was too much for me. For at the same time, I was still needing to fix several problems out of my own pocket and little things like mirror braking off and foot pedal becoming suddenly stuck were popping up. A shock went shot as well, just a whole bunch of things started falling apart all at once. So I was upset obviously, but I was still reasonable, the only thing I felt they would consider fixing would be the a/c. Because it had been documented as being completely fixed. So all I asked was for that to be looked at without being charged. This was met with pointing fingers. They said it wasn't fixed at their place, which documentation showed it wasn't, should that matter? No, I bought it and at time of sale I was told the a/c would have no problems. Here it is broken three months later. As it stands I was told they would call back after talking with the other Doug Henry dealer about it. I have not heard back and the business day is over. I would not buy from this dealership. I recommend you do the same. I will post an update as I pursue this further to see if they have the business sense to make up for the problems.
