One Big Headache

To whom it may concern, I would like to start off by saying that I'm young (22) and somewhat new to the car buying game (this was my second time purchasing from a dealership). I was looking around online and saw a Miata that I was interested in that was located about an hour away at Belmonte Auto Imports. I called to make sure it was still available and to see if I could come take a look. So I took my car to see if trading it in would make my payments cheaper. Also I figured since I started recently raising my credit I would try and buy without a co-signer. When I showed up I went ahead and checked the car out for rust or leaking fluids and test drove it. It was a convertible top and it had quite a bit of wind noise (it just needed new latches). Vince Belmonte (owner) said that he would include new top latches with the purchase and that he would ship them to me which was fine with me. Next, I sat in the office and waited for them to run my credit and filled out the "simple" paperwork (job/income). After some waiting I was told I was approved and I wouldn't need a cosign so I decided to make the move on it. I filled out all of the paperwork and was on my way (easy-peasy). Well about two weeks later I received a call from Belmonte Auto Imports asking for my most recent pay stub because they typed in the wrong information about my income, (not to sure why I wasn't asked for that the day of purchase anyways) nevertheless I went ahead and faxed it over and they said "everything should be good now." Three days later I received a call again... this time they tell me that i didn't make enough to purchase the car and that I would either need a co-signer or to return the car. I asked myself " why in the h*** would they even let me drive it off the lot". So I didn't really have a choice but to drive an hour back to figure things out. I showed up and decided that I would bring a co-signer with me since I already cancelled the payments and insurance on my previous car. After everything was said and done and I actually had the car in my name I went to tell Vince (owner) that I still hadn't received the top latches and he said that he would check into it and make sure I got them. So I get the car home and think to myself "finally everything is settled". Well about a week and a half later I realized my temporary tags were just about to run out because when I re-purchased the car i wasn't given new temporary tags! I also hadn't received my top latches! So I emailed Vince and got him to ship my hard tags Fed-Ex next day air and that he would look into the top latches... again. I received the tags the next day and decided not to bother him anymore about the top latches. It has been over two months now and still no latches. Overall I would say if you want someone that knows how to "talk and butter you up" this is the place for you. If you want a professional experience then avoid this place at all cost and if this is the only place you can think to buy from keep looking. Craigslist would be less of a headache.

WOW JAGUAR PURCHASE

All I can say is WOW!!!! This dealership truly aims to please! My car was totaled out by my insurance company and I had been searching for a Jaguar similar to the one I had before. I found it here! Let me just say, when I noticed an issue with the car, the immediately took initiative to address my concerns! They even took the extra mile and DETAILED the used car I was driving before I purchased the jaguar. These gentlemen are honest, efficient, patient and I have never had a more pleasurable car buying experience! Go see them first! YOU WILL BE AMAZED!!!!!!!! THANKS STEVE FOR YOUR AWESOME SERVICE!!!!!!

Great Truck

Purchased a Ford F-150 on 7/8/17 for my 17 year old son. Met the owner and took the truck out for a test drive with him riding along. Truck has no issues, clean and all is well. Mr. Dan, the owner was very genuine as well as his staff. Would purchase again!! KJM

Not Pleased

Purchased a pickup and felt like they would do almost anything to get me out the door in the truck! Didn't have the truck 30 days and looks like I'm also purchasing a brand new transmission as well! Not only that but while in the midst of the purchase agreement I texted and spoke to owner numerous time over the phone well now he's completely ignoring my calls and text! PRETTY SHADY!

I submitted my query online through a car buying tool through USAA. The owner Dan called me within minutes of my online request. He knew where I requested from and was ready with all information about the vehicle I was looking for. He was very straight forward and disclosed all information I asked for. Additionally he showed me exactly what costs he had put back into the vehicle. During my test drive I found the front brakes had a pulse in the rotor(s) and felt pretty soft. He hopped right in and took it around the block with me and did not hesitate to say he would fix it. When we parked he had one of his technicians take it right then and there to be repaired. I spoke with him about a second key for the vehicle. I needed a second key to access the codes for programming the Ford Edge and he did not hesitate to make a set and move the process forward. The lot is small, but flows well for what it is. Everyone is very nice, clean and efficient with the entire process. I went through USAA for financing and Blemonte Auto Imports had all the paperwork processed for me in minutes (literally) so I could call USAA and get the process rolling. I noticed that they worked with NCSECU, USAA and had CarFax. I would assume Dealer Rater as well. It is full disclosure which is very hard to find these days. A+ in my book! All in all the turn around time was outstanding! I am not one for waiting around while people take their sweet time getting paperwork ready and all that goes into the buying process. I think Belmonte Auto Imports has a very streamlined system in place and moved as quick as physically possible to get me in what I wanted. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for straight forward processing, a good deal and actual honesty. This is the place for you. Also, they work really well with active and retired military.
