Walked the talk

The sales team was interested in providing a vehicle that met our requirements and remained in our budget. Vehicles came with various option combination and the sales rep selected several vehicles for our review within the budget. We felt like the sales team was interested in serving us. Sales rep took the time to demonstrate features and make recommendations. Unfortunately, a recent back injury prevented me from enjoying required comfort and making the purchase. Aside from this issue, I would have definitely made a purchase from this dealer.

Building Relationships That Last

We purchased a vehicle from Vann York Toyota for the second time in 13 months. We have been fortunate enough to deal with the general manager Levan. Levan does a great job and gives you the best price the first time without the back and forth that happens sometimes. Last year we purchased a Scion XB during cash for clunkers. Even though they were very busy Levan made sure we were taken care of in a timely manner. This time we purchased a Rav4 Sport. Our sales rep was Keo. He knows the Toyota product inside and out. We must have asked him 20-30 questions. He was pleasant to work with and was not pushy at all. He was more concerned that we were happy with the car than he was about making the sale. I would recommend Vann York Toyota to anyone in the Triad that is looking for a new or used vehicle.

Buyer Beware

This dealership cars are overpriced. The treat you like you are a moron. I had researched the car I wanted. They listed the car at one price on their website but when I arrived at the lot it was a different story. I had my own financing at a bank for 6.00% but the bank would not pay the price they were asking. They stated that could get us financing at another bank. Their rate was 15% with 2500 down. I told the saleman that was crazy and wanted to speak with manager. The manager refused to speak with us without us agreeing to put 2500 down and take their financing, They would not go down on their price even when our bank guaranteed the monies. I went to another place got the car I wanted and at the price the bank was willing to pay.

Promised a good price over the phone and added more than 2000$ to it once we reached there. Highly unprofessional behavior.

I tried to trade my 2006 Tahoe to Vann York Toyota & other dealerships to no availe. I blame that on myself for thinking gas would always be cheap. The run around I had to go through at other dealerships was incredible. When I went to other dealerships - all that the other salesmen wanted to know was "How much cash I had down" & "What was my credit rating". They did not ask for what I wanted or even offer a demo in any of their vehicles. Discouraged I then did my shopping on line. Vann York Toyota was one of the very first to send me a quote(10 mins) and gave me a phone call to discuss my situation. We set up an appointment on the car I selected along with a time to look at the Tahoe. - No mention of credit checks or how bad "upside down" I may be in my trade. Rick Campbell - the manager, personally called me to make sure the salesman who called answered all my questions, and that the quote he sent was on the right vehicle.& right options I had selected. When I arrived at the dealership, late I may add. They took the time to let me drive the Camry I had selected and then had a couple of guys to drive my Tahoe. They also called their GM store to get a bid as well. Well, needless to say, I just could not justify the loss I had to absorb in my Tahoe to do a deal. But the manner & professionalism in the way they dealt with me was so far ahead of anyone else. I sent my daughter to Vann York to look at a Corolla or Yaris & she was so impressed with the car & the people, she bought that day. If more dealerships would use Vann York's model of dealing with clients, from the internet to the "on the lot experience" - I know they would have more sales. I am an older man - but I love the internet to shop. so far - Rick, The sales staff & all the folks at Vann York are ahead of the game.
