Worst Experience ever!! With services.

Went to this dealership with low pressure light on on my 2015 Rav4,after Walmart tire center that replaced aftermarket tpms sensor were unable to sync with my car. Met advsor Casey Bradshaw who told me I'd need $139 diagnostic fee, and if I agree on. The $139 would go to the parts installation fees. After the diagnostic, I was hit with 3 different fees $561 for parts, $139 for now "programming " and $166 for installation. I asked why, she's pushing the notion that diagnostic fee is now covering programming, which she hadn't explained well before I handed her my car. After I paid $789, I realized that other dealerships are charging less, and decided not to do replacement at Toyota of Goldsboro. I went back for refund, and now I have to either pay "special order restocking fee " of 15%=$118 (which no one told me about when I was paying for it),or take the parts with me at a cost of $789. I was willing to pay $789 for labor and parts as stated when I allowed them my car. The no refund statement is not working.

I purchased my Highlander from Toyota of Goldsboro in 2021. I called to schedule some new tires since they are having a promotion on tires. I asked the lady when she scheduled me “don’t you need to know the tire that I want?” She said “no, we have all of the tires for that vehicle”, so we continued to schedule the appt and I asked again “are you sure you don’t need to know which tire I want on my vehicle?” She responded with “No sir, just let the service advisor know what you want.” I set the appt and take a vacation day off work and I drive 40 miles one way only to have the service advisor say, “we don’t have that tire in stock”. He was very nice and professional about the situation. He said he didn’t understand why she didn’t get my tire choice over the phone. At the end of the day, I’ve wasted a valuable vacation day for nothing. I’ve put 80 miles on my vehicle for nothing. Mistakes happen, but when I asked twice, I feel like I was brushed off and she didn’t take the time to see if I was correct. I’m planning on buying a new Toyota truck within the next year, but I will not be buying another vehicle from them, nor will I take it for service there again.

Very pleasant experience

Let me start off with saying, I would like to consider myself an above average well informed consumer with an above average knowledge of vehicles and values. I was intially drawn to this dealership for a well priced non-Toyota SUV. What drew my attention was the fact it was not their brand(Toyota) and it was an 11 year old truck. Most name brand dealers won't offer anything like that unless it is of their brand name, usually those trade ins are sent straight to auction. So to me that said this vehicle must be exceptional. It absolutely was. I could cover the odometer and tell you it had 5 thousand miles and you wouldn't question it. 84k actual miles. And the mechanical condition matched the physical condition. Immaculate to sum up the truck. Now on to the salesman, a Mr Rick Mobley. By far, bar none, one of the nicest people I have ever met. He did what a real salesman does, he sold himself to me and let the product sell itself, yet he was 100% genuine. Now on to finance department. I forget the gentleman's name, but he also absolute pleasure to do business with. I came to the dealer with cash in hand and financing already lined up and fairly good credit. They beat my rates with their bank by 6%! and didn't push any extra purchases on me such as extended warranties etc. I opted out of a warranty purchase because the cost was ny worth it for 2years /24k miles. To sum up my review, my experience was so pleasant that I would consider buying a Toyota from this dealer in the future and I am diehard Ford only. Great people here, and if you have the pleasure of doing business with Mr Mobley you will not be disappointed.

Dissatisfied woman

I am very disappointed in Toyota of Goldsboro. I purchased a 2015 Toyota Camry in October 2016. The car had a few minor blemishes that the dealership agreed to repair. I was also told to come back in the next day to return a key tag and pick up the spare key. I tried contacting Richard Hardin, general manager, several times regarding the unresolved issues with my car. He never answered any of my calls nor did he return any calls. It was almost 3 months later after contacting the BBB that I received a call and an appointment to take my car in. I received a call from Mike Mayzak offering all kinds of excuses as to why the work had not been done. I was ultimately told the body work guy died and it was not cost efficient to send it elsewhere so I was made to wait until their body shop was up and running. My body work is finally done but I've been told that to get a second key, I must pay $250+. If I had not been told to come back and get the key, I would not have been looking for a second key. Mike had the audacity to tell me it's my word versus the salesman's word concerning a second key. I was very disappointed. I'm not asking for a lot, just another key to this $20,000+ Camry that I purchased. I let Mike know that I would be calling Ben Rodriguez, the owner. His response was, "that's fine, me and Ben have been friends for over 20 years". Customer satisfaction obviously means nothing to certain employees of this establishment. I love Toyota but will not deal with this dealership again!!

Always great service TOG

In and out very quickly. New RAV4 was due for it's first service appt. Got tires rotated and fluids checked, just before 2 trips, each over 500 miles. The team at Toyota of Goldsboro is fast, friendly, and efficient. I also recently stopped by with my husband's 2015 Tacoma and they did not charge me to install his front license plate holder, so that he could again display his Gulf War Veteran license plate proudly. That took about 5 minutes! Thanks guys! He loved it.

Exceptional dealership!

I purchased a new Toyota Highlander from Toyota of Goldsboro, their customer service was above and beyond. I priced this vehicle thru a couple different dealers, I got the best price from Goldsboro!! The Finance Rep was exceptional, made sure the financing was the best for my personal situation!! 5 Stars all the way!!

Floor mats cost extra

Make sure you double check to see if floor mats are included with your vehicle! Who would ever guess that on a $39,000 vehicle with leather, touch screen, power seats/hatch, and everything else you can imagine that something a basic as floor mats are not included. My own oversight that I did not see them prior to signing but just would have never thought that they weren't included. Poor communication on the salesman's part in my opinion. I'm sure they would have threw them in with the deal prior to signing but now if I want them I am looking at several hundred dollars! I am a little disappointed in this to say the least.

I visited 4 different dealerships and bought from Kevin at Toyota of Goldsboro. I bought a 2013 Toyota Camry because it was the cleanest used car I have ever bought, as well as the nicest and most affordable of the other 3 I looked at. They also made the experience very comfortable for me and my family. I would recommend everyone shop at Toyota of Goldsboro!!

Worst car buying experience ever!

Took my Toyota in for service and came across a vehicle that I fell in love with (used) on the lot. Having had previous deceptive dealings with this dealership I was very skeptical about buying from them however since it had been some years and I did want the used vehicle they had on the lot I decided to give it a try. Tim Barnes in sales was very nice, helpful & about the only one there that has any integrity. I traded my Toyota for the used vehicle and left. I received a call from the company that financed the car (Toyota) I traded about 30 days later regarding my "late payment", come to find out Toyota of Goldsboro had not paid off my trade and it then took 10 more days to have it paid off thus having a delinquency on my credit. I requested a letter stating that it was their error for the late payment/payoff so the finance company would not report a delinquency on my credit. I received a hand written letter which was not acceptable, I did finally get an official typed letter to send to the finance company after I went there again and expressed my anger. A week after that I received a letter from the finance company that they financed my current vehicle citing they had not received information they needed (6 weeks after purchase). This was the WORST experience with a car dealer ever, should have stuck with my gut and not bought from them due to a previous negative experience. Nick Goldberg, Finance Manager, attempted to be helpful as well however obviously there is a problem in this dealerships business office to go along with the dishonesty I had previously experienced. Not a big surprise to find they are not BBB accredited nor do they have any information on who the owner is so that I could file an official complaint. I love the vehicle I bought from them but I will never buy from this dealership again, worst experience ever!! The one star was only due to the two individuals that helped me with all the issues (Tim Barnes & Nick Goldberg). I encourage to shop elsewhere if you want an honest, hassle free deal.
