False Advertising

by timforrest on 08/29/2009

Today, August 29, 2009, I decided to respond to a promotional advertisement, which this dealer mailed to me stating that I had definitely won one of the prizes below if I scratched off the three spots and matched a three of a kind. Since I matched, which I am sure everyone matches, I decided to take a visit to the town of Farmville, about 30 miles from Greenville and after sitting and answering a few questions, I was told that they had run out to prizes at 10 am this morning. Well, I had not heard anything about this dealer but their radio ads which they are always advertising but with this happening today, I want to anyone even thinking about going there to stay away. I am sure I was lied to and I will never go back. There are better car dealers in Greenville.

When we went to take the minivan for a test drive, IT WOULD NOT START! The sales associate gave the most ridiculous excuse:" Well, it's been really hot and we had not started it for awhile,". She is a [violative content deleted]. Well, a mechanic came out and gave the car a jump. After we returned from our test drive, my husband insisted on letting the vehicle idle. As the car idled, my husband inquired about any warranties. We were told they didn't offer any. My husband said that he felt that if a business stands behind their product, they would offer some kind of free warranty. No sooner than he said that, a terrible sound came from the engine. We left immediately... The next day, the sales associate called us back and informed us that not only was the problem corrected, but they were also giving us a warranty. We told her we would be there the next day to purchase the car. As we were getting ready to leave the sales associate called to tell us that there was another problem with the van and that we would have to come Monday. On Monday, she called us and said that the mechanic wanted to check something and it wouldn't be ready until the afternoon. So, we waited and waited. We finally called her and she informed us that the van would have to be taken to the Chrysler dealer for repairs. She told us she would call us to let us know when the car would be ready. We looked elsewhere and found another car... by the way, the sales associate never called us back.

Sales PROFESSIONALS? HAHA

These people are the most UNPROFESSIONAL around! Be cautious when buying from them! Don't waste your money here! You will be disappointed! When I bought my car they didn't give me my paperwork and told me they would mail it to me. I had to call a million times and talk to a million people just to get my paperwork sent to me so I would know when my first payment was due. On top of that I had a million problems with the car I bought. They did give me a loaner vehicle. It however had tags that had been expired for 7 months. I didn't realize and was pulled over for it. When I was pulled over, come to find out the loaner they dropped off to me had no paperwork authorizing me to drive it. THere was absolutely nothing other than a paper saying it passed inspection. The officer gave me a break but told me it could have been a big ticket. I have had a terrible experience all around with this dealership! Please be cautious when considering this dealership! Spend your money somewhere else!
