onI have had the absolute best experience with Catherine Burchette at Mercedes Benz of Durham. You can tell she loves what she does there. I couldn't believe the amount of genuine effort and time she put into finding the best vehicle for me. She was nothing less than amazing and I appreciate her so very much. I can't forget her team that helped. The staff is awesome I have such respect for Mustafa on the finance side. These guys really work together to ensure the best possible deal for their customers. The cars sell themselves let's just be honest, this is my second Mercedes. It is the high level of customer service and commitment received there why Mercedes Benz of Durham will be my forever home.

Horrible Experience!

onWorst experience ever. I only wish I could give this dealer 0 stars for horrible service, numerous errors, and false promises. Bob French, the business manager, was disrespectful, unprofessional, and dismissive. This dealer would not call me back and I had to go there in person. After not receiving my tag when promised, I found out that this dealer dropped the ball and failed to submit the DMV paperwork. To correct their mistake, they promised to send someone in person to the DMV to get my tag and when I went to the dealer to pick it up a few days later, they had not gotten the tag as promised. Instead, I was publicly confronted by Bob French for initially giving Mercedes-Benz a 7 out of 10 on an anonymous internal company survey. If I had to take the survey again it would obviously be a 0 out of 10. When I arrived, Bob French had the survey printed out and threw it at me in front of customers and staff and expressed his anger towards me for not giving the dealer 10 out of 10. Because of their error and not receiving the tag when promised, we had to cancel our travel plans. I cannot believe they are allowed to treat customers like this after spending so much money at the Merecedes-Benz dealer. Additionally, there were scratches on the vehicle that the dealer promised to fix, but the car did not come out as promised even after they worked on it twice. We let Hendrick know that we had purchased multiple cars from them and this is not the way to do business. This has been such a time-consuming and frustrating process that has not yet been resolved.

Avoid!

onAvoid this Mercedes Benz dealership in Durham near Southpoint. They lie. My daughter's boyfriend who is international went there to lease a car. They first dealt with Daniel Debrecht who seemed responsive and customer-oriented, but once they agreed on a car with a 36 month lease, things got weird. They were handed off to his manager, Dan Scallion, and Daniel disappeared. Dan would not return calls or emails. Finally the boyfriend was told that he could not qualify for a lease because of his visa status without a cosigner. He has been selected for an H1b visa which will be valid for 3 years. His credit rating is classified as "very good". My daughter spoke with Mostafa Abouauf about her cosigning and he told her that it was not a good idea. I volunteered to cosign and a call was placed to the dealership. The boyfriend was told by the receptionist, Tiffany LeMay, to have me come to finalize everything and that all I needed was my driver's license. Upon arrival, I told the receptionist why I was there and I was met by the Finance Manager, Bob French. Mr. French sat me down and told me that I couldn't cosign because I neither lived at the same address nor was related. I proceeded to challenge him and he left to ostensibly find out who gave us incorrect information. Never saw him again other than skulking in the background. Yes. He skulked! Next Mostafa Abouauf, who, it turns out is a Sales Manager shows up and tells me that Dan is with another customer. Mostafa appears to look for other options, but none of those pan out. I now think this was a charade. Needless to say, no car and plenty of disappointment. That evening my daughter sent an inquiry to Mercedes Benz Financial Services. A couple of days later a reply came: "Thank you for the inquiry regarding your account with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS). The 3rd party does not have to be related or live with you in order to be on the contract". Since I drive a Lexus, I contacted my dealership and got the same answer. Did they think we wouldn't check? Mr. French and Mr. Abouauf lied, played games with me and wasted my time. For some reason, this dealership did not want to do business with this young man and it was for a reason that they would not divulge.

onI really enjoyed my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Durham. They are located in an excellent location, and offered great customer service. You won't be disappointed if you wanted to purchase a premium vehicle, but you are on a budget. They don't pressure you like others did. They are all great people and they understand my need and so they are willing to negotiate according to my budget. My primary go-to person is Patrick Wang and he followed through and is very responsive. Most importantly he managed to give me a great deal on the 2015 GLK350! Indeed everyone works in this dealership are professional and made you feel like you're welcomed - even though I was there 4-5 times before I finally made my purchase!!!! I am very happy with my experience and I will suggest anyone to go visit this dealership for your purchase and service.

onYes this is a long review, but I think it speaks to the character of this new dealership: I Worked for several exchanges with the internet liaison. Set a time to work a deal on a specific vehicle. Cleared out my vehicle and gathered all info to trade The next day I confirmed a Prearranged time to come by to drive and purchase the vehicle. The sales manager was ready and would be waiting to appraise my vehicle. I cleared an opening in a busy work schedule to get over to see things through. When I arrived the sales manager gave me a big smile and laughingly said " I just sold that car 10 minutes ago". No honor, no respect for promises to a customer, no respect for the effort I made to be there. Not even a call to at least tell me of their dishonor and save me from driving there and having someone also drive my vehicle for trade. Most importantly no shame whatsoever. I immediately left. Wrote a complaint email to the Internet advisor and general manager. I never heard a word from the Internet salesman. I guess he suddenly forgot how to use email. The general manager replied that they were being " Sympathetic" to the person who asked to buy the same car I was scheduled for. No shock, he then offered to sell me some other car. If they have so many why not offer those to the other customer? Summary? If you want a dealer that operates the bait and switch like a sleazy used car lot, this is the place for you. When a place is so willing to screw a potential customer, how well do you think they'll treat you if you have an issue? One star is more than they deserve. I'll stick with Mercedes of Raleigh, well worth the extra miles.

2015 GLA-250

onI purchased a new GLA-250 @ MB of Durham 2 months ago. First of all the car is great and gets better gas milage than stated on window sticker. Sales: Calif and Dan were the easiest sales staff to work with I have ever experienced! Usually the staff at other high end auto dealership aren't really friendly, they are under the assumption that selling a Mercedes Benz is serious business not to be taken lightly, SMUG? Not so at Mercedes Benz of Durham! They welcome you in regardless is you are in a fine wool suit or jeans. The negotiation and buying process was painless with no pressure applied. They are fair with their pricing and exceeded my expectations at time of delivery. We love the car and recently picked up a cargo mat I ordered, not only did the install it but also washed and vacummed the car! They also offered us shuttle service to the SouthPoint Mall, which is about 2 blocks away and called us when the car was done for a ride back. This dealership will knock the socks off the competition on Capital Blvd. in pricing and location for all, especially those of you how live in Durham and Chapel Hill. No one hour commute for service! So I close with WELCOME to Mercedes Benz of Durham! Special thanks to Dan And Calif!
