Easy leasing experience!

I have leased my last 2 vehicles with Volvo of Cary. Robin is a great salesperson. She made the process stress free and easy. She was responsive, attentive, and never pushy. Love my Volvo XC60! Service department is good to work with and you get in and out quickly. Overall fantastic experience!

Great Experience!!

First time buying a Volvo. All I can say is the car buying experience at Volvo of Cary was the best I have experienced yet. Peter was a great help, very knowledgeable, and located the perfect XC-90 for my family. Anthony was a great sales manager to deal with. Very open minded, and willing to work with the buyer. There was no hassle what so ever. We love our XC90 and highly recommend Volvo of Cary to anyone interested!

This Wuf Howling with Happiness

I began my search for my next vehicle online as, like most people, I hate dealing with car salesmen. I was determined to NOT give out my phone number (most asked for this first thing.) I got an immediate response from a guy named Forrest Harrell. He was responsive, non pressuring, and answered every question I had via email, never once asking to call me. Eventually through our conversation, we struck up friendship based on a common passion for all things NC State. When I finally decided I was ready to come out and view the car that had piqued my interest I setup an appointment with Forrest at his recommendation so he could "spend the proper amount of time one on one with me to make this a great experience." When I arrived at the dealership, he greeted me with drinks and snacks and invited me into his office to discuss his thoughts, advice, etc. before we ever even looked at a car. When we did look at the cars, Forrest had the car I had come to see, and FIVE others of comparable features/price/value. He knew what he was doing, as I purchased another car than the one I came to see, because it was a much better deal for ME. The entire process was like speaking with a long time friend. Never once was I pressured, asked to make an instant decision, hassled in any way. The entire staff went above and beyond and I drove away with my new vehicle howling with delight!

0 Stars! Should not be allowed to represent Volvo

Went yesterday to test drive a Volvo. The sales person I got was more than just unprofessional. Andy Harder harassed me, intimidated me, yelled at me, touched my wrist, and made me fell threatened. All of this and more while I was driving a car I had never driven, on unfamiliar roads and no clue how far away from the dealership I was. As we pulled out of the dealership, I let Andy know, that I wasnt' sure how much in taxes I would get back, if any, and that the amount would determine how much I am willing to spend. His response was political and about how he was screwed over. I let him know immediately I did not share his opinion. Hoped that that would end any political ranting and instead tell me about the features of the car. Nope!!! He kept on...I guess he thought he found his perfect victim to bash. All I could do was drive and try to keep a level head and maintain calmness. We were on 540 before the full brunt of what he had to say started coming out. I got off the next off exit and wasn't sure how to get back to the dealership. At one point I thought of just turning off the car and getting out, but thought that would be me in more danger. He kept going, one subject after another...BLM, Abortion, Trump, Religion, etc..All subjects that are highly sensitive and not be discussed let alone yelled at someone while they are test driving the car they hope to buy. He did in fact reach out and touch my wrist to try and make a point. "If your wrist are cut, you'll bleed red". NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!! Finally, back at the dealership and that is when I tell him he is an [non-permissible content removed]. He response is that the reason I think this, is because I disagree with him. The car was now parked and off. I turned to look at him for the first time after all that and say. "NO, It's because you put me under extreme stress. I kept my calm and level head the entire time driving, I did not know where I was in an unfamiliar car with a strange man yelling at me and even after I let you know I was not like minded, you became frustrated and unleashed all of your hatred on me. That's is why you are an [non-permissible content removed] I need to speak to your manager." I spoke with sales manager, and no I am not satisfied with the outcome, yet. The manager was surprised but let me to believe he did not know how the situation would be handled. After I left the office, I sat in my car for a while to calm down and figure out the best course of action. What can I do? I have called an attorney office, of course it being Friday afternoon on March 17th, the person I should speak with was not available but I was told I should start with filing a report. Do Not Buy a Car with Weaver Volvo in Raleigh or Cary Volvo. Same Owners Volvo should have way better representation for their brand here in NC. Hugely disappointed, and left feeling violated. The least I expect is the sale agent to be fired and yes, I want a sincere apology from all parties involved. No one should have to deal with this level of incompentence and hatred from a sales person.

Forrest Harrell was wonderful!

My wife and I were looking for a certified Volvo S60 and found a few at Cary Volvo. Our sales person was Forrest Harrell who was very helpful, patient and enjoyable to work with. We had 2 children with us and Forrest was wonderful at helping us entertain the kids while also giving us both separate test drives. He wasn't pushy and just helped us figure out the best car for us. We left getting a great car at a very fair price. All of the staff a Cary Volvo that we came in contact with was very friendly.

Also, the service department regularly maintains all four vehicles and does a wonderful job. I would like to make a special shout out to salesperson Robin Marshall who sold us our last two vehicles. She is extremely knowledgeable of the vehicles, takes the time to show and explain features of the cars and really works with us to give us the best deal possible.

Best Experience at a Dealership

Was shopping for a used XC60 and found a car we liked at Volvo of Cary. Entire experience was a pleasure. Forrest Harrell was our sales rep and what a great guy. Friendly, knowledgeable and no high sales pressure gimmicks. We decided to buy and the manager came over (just once), quoted a price, we countered, and couldn't reach an agreement. Shook hands and left with a smile on all our faces. Two days later, we received a call with a new offer from Forrest. He came down some and we went up some and now we have our XC60. If we ever shop for another car, we will start at this dealership. Oh, by the way, this dealership is 100 miles from where we live. Well worth the drive.

Very Happy Customer

I was in the market for a CPO car. Forrest Harrell at Volvo was our salesman. He's very patient and goes above and beyond for his clients without being pushy. He seems so honest and genuine that it makes you feel like you're in the best hands for such a high ticket purchase. He and his manager, Anthony, were a pleasure to work with. Forrest also took his time to get me acquainted with the features of the car. He's really superb...I can just go on and on. If you're considering getting a Volvo, this is the place to go to and Forrest is the guy to help you!

Good Experience!

It's no secret that the process of buying a car is often frothed with uncertainty, anxiety, and, for many, it is quite an unpleasant task. We recently purchased a Volvo Certified Pre-Owned S60 from Volvo of Cary and had a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. Peter McKone was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, had an intuitive understanding of what we needed and how we operated and was patient with a number of questions and test drives. Anthony Cotellese made the business of purchasing the car transparent and fair. This was our first experience at Volvo of Cary and our first Volvo but all indications are that this was a great choice!

Excellent buying experience

I was recently in the market to buy a new car. I've had a Subaru for years and one of the things I love about it is the great local service I get in Raleigh. I really wanted a Volvo but wanted to make sure I bought it from a local dealer so that I could get the local support that I need for maintenance and repairs. When I did local searches (I live in Raleigh) I was concerned about the ratings/reviews of the local Cary dealership. I decided to try it myself but walked in with expectations of bad service. I was pleasantly proven wrong. Peter and Anthony were awesome. Peter wasn't pushy- he was attentive, knowledgeable and did a great job following up. They didn't have the car in stock that I wanted but did an amazing job searching and identifying possible cars. Anthony the sales manager even stepped in on Peter's day off. I bought a Volvo from Peter and Anthony last week and the process/experience was great. No surprises, they prepared paperwork in advance to save me time, spent over an hour with me to teach me how to use my new safety and technology features and even followed up several times to check in. I'll repost after my first maintenance experience but from a sales perspective- they were great! I would recommend giving them another chance.

Excellent Service Very pleased with our trade in

Our sales rep was ready to close before a holiday weekend when we arrived to look around. She was eager to work with us at the end of her long day to negotiate a trade in. We were so pleased with the negotiation on our trade in. It was better than other dealers we had tried to negotiate with earlier in the day. Our service rep Robin was friendly knowledgeable about the vehicles and explained in great detail about the vehicle we were purchasing. Not at all pushy, which is a big deal when making a large purchase. The staff there are all friendly and all work as a team. The best I can explain is that the environment overall felt good. Our experience was awesome. We would highly recommend Volvo of Cary to our friends and family. What a great asset to the Town of Cary.

Unbelievable Experience!!

Just left this dealership and me and my husband just keep shaking our heads!!! Salesman was useless, and this is putting it nicely! We wanted to look at a car they had in the showroom and the battery was completely dead. After a few minutes of staring at us he finally said "I'll go and get a charger put on it"! We were like, what??? Does he really want to sell a car or not? He got a charger, but we knew he really didn't want to! Then I wanted to see what the lights looked like - so I asked my husband to turn them on, then he said "oh, you have to have a key for that!" In which he didn't even bother to get a key - then my husband said in a joking way "we are not planning on driving it out of here", he still didn't offer to get a key so we just walked out! We didn't get his name because he didn't even introduce himself! Never ever have we had such a bad experience! Not even when we bought a couple of bicycles! The only reason this place gets one star is because a nice young lady salesperson whom we met on our way out really wanted to make it right and was very nice, but by this point we were DONE!

Poor Service at the Dealership

Recently stopped in at this dealership to look at used Volvo vehicles. Showroom was empty, no one greeted me, I had to call out "Anybody here?" before a salesman came out. No enthusiasm, barely seemed interested and then he took a personal phone call and left me standing there waiting for him to finish his call. I didn't wait, I left (he stayed on his call as I waved good-bye!!) and I bought a used Volvo elsewhere. No wonder there was no one in this showroom!

Dealership does not treat repeat customers well

My second new Volvo purchase from this dealer. I was given untruthful information about the Volvo advertised lease deal and was told such a vehicle cannot be purchased and that the ad is just a ploy to get you to come in. Well, the service manager let slip that they do indeed stock the lease model (they have to to offer the deal). Unfortunately I already purchased the vehicle for thousands more than the lease model.

Apathetic Sales staff

I was in the market to purchase a SUV, I was just checking out various makes and options available. In general I was looking for a luxury foreign made car. I went to the Cary Volvo lot to look around at what ever they had and to find out more info about the cars. I was on the lot for over an hour , and not a single Sales person came to greet me or ask if I was interested in purchasing a car. I finally went inside and had to hunt down a sales person to ask a few questions. Seems they are not at all interested in customers who may not have a certain look or way of dressing may be I did not fit in to their profile of a customer.
