We liked the no-pressure but personal attention given during our experience. Terry, who took my first call of inquiry and then Lori Holton, who completed our sale were super knowledgeable and friendly. Neither of the ladies rushed us through our questions, requests or the process and even went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for through our purchase process.

Never called me back

I never heard back from them after they said they would call me back. I ended up buying a 2021 XSE Rav4 and a 2021 XSE Camry down the mountain. They have great service but internet sales is a head scratcher.

Worth the Drive

Simple transaction with pleasant, efficient people. I traveled 4 hours to see a fairly rare used car they had, and it was spotless, as advertised, and after I agreed to buy it, they filled it with gas...never had that happen before. Also found a lower rate loan than I had been able to set up. Absolutely no problems, and outstanding service.

This place is just the best!

We recently purchased a 2019 Rav4 hybrid off the showroom floor, through our salesman Paul. He was so friendly, yet not overly hovering. We felt comfortable in testing out whatever we wanted & multiple ones at that. He was able to answer all of our questions, get us a great deal and a good value on our trade in. The actual dealership is pristine & really well designed. The waiting area is comfortable, and stocked with delicious snacks & cold drinks. They have exceptionally clean bathrooms & one of the best service departments i’ve ever been to. The attendants there are SO courteous & kind, they really go above and beyond to make what seems like a chore, really just a quick to do. So incredibly grateful to have purchased a PERFECT vehicle from here, and will continue to travel up from Fayetteville to have it serviced!

Working with Modern Toyota of Boone was a downright pleasure in every way. I'd never had a good car-buying experience -- until now. We agreed to a great price. Chip and Laurel were amazingly efficient, helpful, friendly and easy to work with. I came all the way from Asheville (2-hours away) to buy my car and I would do it again, in a heartbeat. After unsuccessfully attempting to deal with the local Toyota dealership, my wife and I went to Modern where Lori Holton changed our car buying experience. She was professional, didn't play the usual car sales games, and created a pleasurable transaction. She and her staff went beyond what one would expect when buying a vehicle. We hope to own our new Camry for several years, but when we decide to buy again, Lori and Modern Toyota will be at the top of our list.

We just purchased a new 2017 Highlander from a brand new salesman, Tyler Cross. We went in just for a brochure on the 4-Runner and three weeks later left with the new car with what we consider a good deal. Most of the negotiation was over the phone and e-mail. No high pressure.

Nothing to write home about

I did most of my purchase on line as I live about 1.5 hours away, My contact was Abby McDonald. I sent all info to Abby so that the day I was to pick up the vehicle all I had to do was sign and pick it up, was paying with a check so no financing was needed, also told het I would be there Saturday morning. I arrived around 9:30 am on Saturday and ask to speak to Abby, found out she was not there so another person said he could get someone to help. Finally a sales person came to me; he was very nice and have no complaints about him, the problem I do have is Abby never said she was not going to be there or even gave me a name of someone who would take care of me. After about a 2 hour wait we finally got to the finance guy to sign and leave, it only took about 10 minutes to complete the paper work, we left at 11:30 am. So nothing special from the experience there.The long wait and not so personal touch from Abby were the main issues. I spent 3 hours on the road and 2 hours sitting and waiting to do a 10 minute deal.

Outstanding Sales Team

Just drove on the lot to look for a used or new truck and drove away with a new 2015 Toyota Tundra XP SR5!! John Greene was new on the sales team but his courtesy sold me. He and the rest of the sales team were just outstanding. I recommend if you live within 200 miles of Boone then you really need to check this sales team out! I'm very happy with my new Tundra!!! Unforgetable experience!

We have never purchased a vehicle so easily! We had already test drove a similar vehicle (2 years older & 6,000 more miles on the odometer), so when I found this almost new Certified Pre-Owned vehicle on their lot, I sent a message via their website inquiring on whether they would come down in price to closely match the older vehicle we had already test drove. After a few emails back and forth, we decided to drive the 1.5 hours to their lot to finalize the purchase. About an hour later, the Sales Manager called me and offered to have the vehicle drive to my house free of charge! Five minutes after we arrived home after work, 2 older gentlemen drove up and after a quick look through and signatures, the vehicle was ours!! What a fabulous experience I will never forget! More importantly, Modern Toyota of Boone gained a client for life! Kudos for going above and beyond!!
