Horrible Management

Hi. I had to wait a few weeks to calm down about the horrible experience we had with Asheboro Honda. Everyone was exceptional and great except for Mark Swain, the manager. The night we purchased our truck (11-17-20) the finance manager told the guys in the shop to make sure they checked both both left side tires because there was only 16 pounds of air in them when he drove it in from the next-door lot. Before we left he told us to make sure we kept an eye on those tires. Our tire pressure went down several pounds on the left side on our 1 1/2 hour trip home. Over the next week every time we drove it the tire pressure was down 10 to 12 pounds in both tires. So 10 days after we purchased the truck I went back to a Asheboro Honda and they checked the two tires and there was a nail in each tire. Mark, the manager told me that I must have ran over something. He did not want to help me in anyway whatsoever. I was just another customer. I had three small children with me and he could’ve cared less with me driving off the lot with nails and my tires. He only wanted to patch one and I had to figure out what to do with the other one. When I insisted on them putting two tires on my truck he refused. Until I went to the desk crying, so upset, all I wanted to do was to safely get home. The manager treated his employees like little children. Embarrassingly bossing them around. It was absolutely horrible and I felt sorry for all of them. I could go on and on and write so much more. He suddenly agreed to put two tires on our truck after I told him I would definitely be putting in a review. But he told me it would be Monday before the tires would be in, and this was Friday (11-27-20) He went in the other room and made a phone call and suddenly he could have the tires the next day. So I stayed in Asheboro with family and picked my truck up the next day. I was told that evening that he was joking with a salesman about how cheap the tires were that he put on. With zero warranty. Don’t get me wrong I’m very thankful for the tires. But the manager could’ve cared less what was on my truck. Oh! And before I end this review… He called the head boss man, Dan Lackey, and covered his butt and told lies before I could leave my review just so he wouldn’t get in trouble. I have never left a bad review anywhere. But if I could save anyone else from being treated like I was treated, then that is what I want to do. I will never buy a vehicle from Asheboro Honda again. It’s pretty bad when you’re standing, talking to a manager of a dealership and your kids are hugging on you trying to console you because all you want to do is safely get home. Oh yeah, most of the salesman there don’t like him either. I promise you those are facts. Go somewhere else and get your vehicle, as long as Mark is there all he wants to do is get a sale. HE. DOES. NOT. CARE. PERIOD.

Bait car to get you to there to show you other cars.

Contacted the Asheboro Honda dealer through their website to confirm availability for this car on 8/29/2018, and after taking my personal informaton, they offered to contacted me. Waited one day, and their internet sales guy called me, asking the same questions again. On 8/31/18 at 7:30 PM contacted them again through their internet chat person, and only assistance was to be called later on. On Saturday 9/1/2018 in the early morning hours, I received their call confirming that it was in their lot, and asking me to come down to see it and set up an appointment for that evening. After requesting to let me know by text just in case the car was being sold, to avoid traveling 1 hour to them. Left work and drove to the dealer, once there I was told that the car was not in their lot, and paper work was being done to sell it. I asked to just see it, and the manager wanted me to see other cars that he had already prepared for me to see. I decline his offer until seeing the this car. His story changed to "it is sold already, and the customer is gone with the car. Then he raised his voice saying that I was accusing him a lie. Furiously asked me to leave "his" dealer. Carfax with this VIN 3N1AB7AP7FY240506 can prove if this car was sold on 9/01/2018 or not. I found out that the Asheboro Honda BDC representative emailed me the same VIN number for a car that was "sold" previously with them a week before. This car ad was posted on the Asheboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram the previous week. I saved the html files and pictures for their sites. The review rules prohibits to post html, links and pictures. That's not professional

April 2014 I thought to buy a Honda van so I went to Asheboro Honda & looked @ the van to buy it ! Everything was ok & I talked to one of the people in finance so I asked him to get the loan from my bank & him to to send me to a far bank in California !!!! So I went the next day to finish the deal & sign the papers ! Guess what t! Without asking me they sent me to a bank in California !!! & told me I'm not approved by my bank !!! I had about 752 Credit score ! So I thought to go ahead & get the van , the person that was getting me to sign to finish the deal telling if I wanna buy an extended warranty so I said no thanks after that he was trying to scare me & telling it's important to buy it telling me his car story that his car the back up camera broke down & he had to spent that much money to fixt it so I was about to step out after he told me that !!! But he said that's ok so anyway I ended signing the paper & getting the van ! Honda called me to get my feedback so I told them about my experience & what happened & that's my opinion!! Went back to ask them why they didn't ask me before they sent me to a bank in California not my bank they were treating me so bad because I told Honda what happened & my opinion!!! After few months of owning that van the van was jumping shifting so I went to the Service department tooooooo many times & the Service manager his name is Jason keep telling me Honda did get back to us about it yet & they did a software update but the van keep doing the same thing so I kept going back still the same thing !! So j thought to talk to the GM his name is Cesar , took all my information & again I didn't hear back for a month !!! After that i went to change the oil for the first time & ask them again if Honda got back to them ? the Service manager jason said no I told him but the customer not gonna be happy like that he said no one can fuss@ Honda !!! WOW that's not good !!!! go back home & oil all over my driveway so I went back I told him about it & first thing he told me r u sure I said its leaking in ur bay !!! So I told my self if I'm having all this trouble now what will happen next if there's something serious !! Put in mind that I owned this van for 13 months & I only have 4200 miles on it !! So I had it with this guys I crossed the street & I got my self a Toyota ! Who ever read that review I'll leave the decision up to u if u really wanna buy a big name & get treated like that !!! Good luck

Great!!

Asheboro Honda was great! They were so nice and knowledgeable throughout my entire car buying experience. I felt so well taken care of and wasn't worried about someone trying "stick" it to me. The salesman was great, make sure you ask for Daniel! He will definitely take care of you! Highly recommend that if you're looking to buy a car, this is the place to go!

Awful service after the sale....

When my wife and I agreed on a price for our trade in and total purchase price for our honda we went to the general managers, Cesar J, office and started filling out the paperwork. Then we were told that the 100k coverage on the "Asheboro Advantage" would not be offered to us. As you may expect I was not happy about this, but my wife was pregnant with our second child so we needed to upgrade to a mini van. The general manager and the finance manager told us that every other option on the "Asheboro Advantage" would be covered. One of the perks of the "Asheboro Advantage" is that you get free car washes. Today I was out with my son, went to the dealership and asked for the car wash, the finance manager, I believe his name is Mark M told me very rudely that that was not long offer because "customer were taking advantage of the car washes", ???? I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but I feel like when you have been lied to over and over what's going to happen next. I feel like a sucker for buying a car at the dealship. I will also be contacting the owner of the dealership and writing a letter to Honda. Be careful if you are considering buying a car from them because of the "Asheboro Advantage", there is no advantage if the terms are changed after you buy the car. What's going to happen next, are they not going to cover oil changes and inspections? This place is a joke, I am sorry that my hometown is being represented by honda from this dealership. If you need a honda go to Greensboro.

Very friendly Place

Have always loved Hondas. This dealership has been very nice to me since I bought my very first car. The staff is always nice and friendly. Sales associates always make me feel very comfortable... Always trying to find me the best deal and get me out the door as quick as they can. I really appreciate that because they value my time. Service and parts department are always very attentive and friendly. I had to order an "H" emblem for my car they made sure to help me right away and it arrived within a day or so. Can't complain... Very good service! Will definitely come back for my next new car.

Stay Away!

I came in to look at a pre-owned Jeep Grand Cherokee at Asheboro Honda. As I was looking I could hear the sales people muttering that my credit needed to be checked. I could hear the manager outside cursing, making racial jokes with one of the African American salesman, and making fun of another salesman's teeth. What kind of business does this type of thing in front of customers? The guy who looks like the head honcho there, Cezar if I remember his name right, was leading on all of the joking/hazing. Do you really want to buy a car from a business whose salesman pre-judge someone's credit by the way they look; and the boss makes racial/ sexual jokes in front of customers?

Stay away from this dealership

To say that these folks are dishonest would be a gross understatement. I have never been subjected to such a ridiculous sales game in all my years of buying cars. I have dealt with all 5 Honda dealerships in the Triad, and this one is by far the worst.
