Beware [non-permissible content removed]!

by Verandella on 12/04/2016

I have purchased a car from this location about 2 years ago and right after i took the car out i have encountered several issues with the car as well as with people that work at that location. The first issue is that the cars windows were scratched and the passenger mirror was broken; i have told that to Norman same day over the phone and brought the car next day for fixing. I have pointed out that there is a scratch on the back passenger window as well as on the front passenger window. Also there was a scratch on the trunk and the front of the car, the rims were scratched and the battery was old.  He assured me that if I leave the car for almost a week (Tuesday to morning Friday) everything will be fixed. I was pregnant at that time and told him that we needed to go to the prenatal appointment in LI that Friday. He said yes everything will be fixed. When we arrived on Friday to pick the car up, only mirror and back window were fixed. I asked Norman what happened, he apologized and said to leave the car again and everything will be fixed. I took the car again on Tuesday and was told that everything will be fixed on Friday. That Friday we also had a prenatal appointment, which i let them know about. When we arrived to pick up the car on Friday, the car wasn't ready it didn't have the tire as it was at the repair and all other things were not fixed. They gave me a loaner and I went to the appointment. When we finally came to pick up the car only one rim was fixed and the battery was finally changed, however no scratches were fixed and the front window still had the scratch (its not a big scratch) and the remaining rims had scratches. They told me that they had a conversation with me and had a deal that only one rim will be fixed the rest i will go fix myself since I have a tire insurance. I've never had this conversation with anyone at the shop. I took the car back very disappointed. I was 9 months pregnant, i couldn't be going to the shop every week after work. The car still had scratches on the body and the window as well as rims, I left it alone because i cant be asking any longer to fix something that had to be done before selling. It was sold as pre-owned certified.     The other issue is that when we were purchasing the car, the sales person who was trying to sell to us the additional protection (warranty) for the car said that if we buy it, if something happens to the car we can take it to the shop and it will be fixed with no cost to us including no deductible. I have received the card for that coverage a few days ago and it states $50 deductible. Providing incorrect information to potential customers is very unethical and wrong.     Later, I have encountered another issue with the car. As the weather became hotter i have started to use the A/C in the car, it didn't work. I had to place it on highest to get anything out of it, but it was just blowing air and not cooling the car at all. I was afraid to bring the car back to the shop because i cant be without my car and i don't trust people that work at the dealership to have it fixed in a timely manner. But i had to do it. They said that everything is fine with it :( In addition to all of it( this is my fault for buying it without doing a research) car was overpriced and I didn't do any research as I wasn't planning to buy a car. The car ,that I had, broke and couldn't pass inspection. They knew it and were pushing the sale on me, knowing that I am upset with my car being broken and that I needed a car right that moment.      To wrap it up I just wanted to say that I feel that i was taken advantage of by the people in this dealership from the very beginning due to me being pregnant and me being very upset at the moment of purchasing the car. Originally,  I wanted a different car, cheaper and a couple of years older, but Norman said that he wouldn't be able to certify that car due to its year. Even though it was a bit expensive for us we decided to go with this car because Norman insisted that it was a better option, we trusted him and we thought that newer means better and less problems. But we were wrong! They are selling this cars as certified pre-owned , they can't be certified if they have so many issues. He used us to sell this car, and we actually thought that he was trying to help us by trying to find a better car for us!!!      The best commercial is the word of mouth, and i will make sure that I will let my friends and family know not to deal with this dealership because the people are lying and the cars have problems. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied! It was very difficult for me to let my old car go because it had sentimental value. I believe that i wasted my money at this dealership and was taken advantage of and lied to. Its wrong to take advantage of people. I am now stuck with a loan that is higher than the car is worth. I will never buy anything from them!

Michael Van Jones Best Salesman!

by RomellP12 on 04/27/2016

I just moved to this country a couple months ago from Guyana, I was offered a job for the state of NJ which is 80 mile drive each way to work from where I reside in NYC. I needed a car that was reliable, good on gas and safe. Michael Van Jones instructed me that my best choice would be a certified pre-owned Toyota Corolla. We found one that I liked, it had low miles and the price was right. I never had insurance before or even a DL so Michael helped me get low cost insurance and went the extra mile explaining everything to me. He even bought my father and I lunch and called a black car taxi to pick us up from Brooklyn and drive us to Queens to pick our car up. This was great service all around and I happy with my new car. If you need a new car I would happily recommend Michael Van Jones at Queensboro Toyota. Cheers

Excellent Experience

by DannyG730 on 03/31/2016

I wanted a tiny car with insane gas mileage for a long commute. I purchased a car a year ago that I just did not like. Mike Van Jones hooked me up with a Scion iA and beat competitors on my trade in value. He went above and beyond to make me happy. I'd buy a car from Mike and Queensboro Toyota again in a second.

Just look for Derek Dai!!!

by Godblessyou1 on 09/25/2015

Do you want to buy a car? Go to Toyota! If you want to buy Toyota, go to Queensboro Toyota! Find Derek Dai, sales in Queensboro Toyata! I had doubt when I was in Queensboro Toyota, I believed that sales person would like to make commission only. After I talked to Derek, his honest, professional manner changed my thinking. He answered all of my questions, and gave me the best suggestion. I felt he is a very nice person, just believe him. I didn't go to any other Dealers. We got a brand new 2015 Sienna XLE just in two days! My family enjoy it, especially my three kids! We appreciate Derek!

Look for Mr. Derek Dai

by BrianC2015 on 09/08/2015

Mr. Dai is very courteous and professional. My wife and I visited four different dealers before finding Mr. Dai and did not like them at all because they seemed to be only interested in closing a deal while we needed more time to think about the deal and consider our budget. However, Mr. Dai took every step with us, making it very easy and convenient for us to decide on a deal. Look for Mr. Dai for your next car purchase.

Rude discriminating salesman

by Queens_CeCe on 05/10/2014

The people there don't know the say "Don't judge a book by it's cover". I schedule a test drive online and on the phone for a toyota sequoia. When I arrived Candice who confirmed my appointment wasn't around. The salesman who was told to help me acted like I was there to waste his time and didn't offered me a test drive and only offered me the sticker price for the car and was not willing to negotiate. So unless you're dress in a three piece suit or carry a genuine Louis Vuitton bag, don't waste YOUR time with them cause they're not gonna attend to you.

Great service. Ask for Bruce E.

by Dennis420 on 02/19/2013

I leased a new 2013 Corrolla from here on 02/17/2013 and the car is great. I stopped into 2 other dealers before my brother in-law recommened I see Bruce E. at Queensboro Toyota. I'm so glad I took his advise. I knew what I wanted, a basic car with basic features basiclly for commutting to work 14miles(1-way) five days a week, with low monthly lease payments with as little down as possible and I didn't want to be at the dealership all day, and thats just what I got. The whole process was quick and Bruce took care of everything. . The other dealerships hand young fast talking, slicked haired, [non-permissible content removed] who try to nickel and dime you. Bruce is a Gentleman and will give you his full attention. The whole process was very comfortable and I also got a fair price on my trade-in which was a 2003 Volkswagen Passat. Bruce E. took care or everything and he even cleaned my old plates before putting them on the new car. He also spent time with me inside the car showing and informing me about all the features and he even connected my phone to the bluetooth feature. First Class service all the way. We are all cautious of sales people but from my experience and all the other reviews I read I can honestly tell you BRUCE IS THE MAN. When my mother and sisters leases expires on their volkswagens I going to take them personally to see Bruce. There are alot of other dealers close by so don't even waste your time going to those guys, they will just rip you off. Go directly to Queensboro Toyota and ask for Bruce E. and you'll drive away happy. Dennis I. Queens, NY

Great Sales person

by solaralover on 11/17/2012

Bruce E. is the best salesperson I have ever had work with me. He is caring, knowledgeble, warm and gets the job done. The dealership, however , needs lessons in diplomacy. Charging 25 centaa for a cup of coffee when you are spending thousands of dollars for a car is TACKY. AND no KEYCHAIN? PLEASE!!!! But Bruce outweighs those minor details.

Great experience

by marrin on 06/24/2012

I purchased a 2012 Prius 4 over the web from Bruce Edelman. Frankly, I was suspicious about buying a car from an unknown salesman at an unknown dealership, especially as no dealership in the area had the trim level and color that I wanted. Not only did Bruce find the car (it took several weeks), he was conscientious about keeping me informed, making sure that everything went smoothly, and, last but not least, had the best price.

Beware dealer might not honor the deal

by edn1 on 01/29/2011

We ALMOST bought the car from the dealer. We visited the dealer agreed on the price and said we will pickup the vehicle when it is going to be available. A few days later they called us and told us about some additional costs that are involved. When I tried to negotiate they just canceled the deal on the spot and said they do not want us a customer.
