Avoid- terrible customer service!

Be cautious if visiting this dealership, especially if you're a female. I made an appointment to test drive a car and when I arrived, the salesperson wanted a great deal of personal information. I provided my telephone number and a copy of my license. When the salesperson started typing my address into his computer, I asked why he needed to do this. He was going to test drive with me. He called a manager over, Ray, and Ray told me before test driving they need some information. I indicated that I understood that and provided my telephone number and a copy of my license and inquired why they needed my address in their computer. Ray responded, "for none of your business." I left before test driving. I can't imagine speaking to another human being that way, let alone when you're in customer service and the person merely asked a question about how their contact information would be used. All he had to do was explain or even indicate, why don't we just look at the car because to test drive I'm going to need your information for such and such reason. It was appalling. I get that the market is good for the dealer right now, but treat people with some humanity and also realize that the car market is cyclical and soon you'll need to work for customers.

Incredible customer service! The product is excellent but your team makes it all the better. I have bought Range Rover's for 8 years and I would rate your customer service far superior despite the fact that the Mazda we purchased was over 100,000 dollars less than out most recent purchase at Land Rover. I was, and continued to be, truly impressed. I own restaurants in Manhattan so I understand how hard it is to find true customer service professionals . Like Harry S. Truman, I Got A Fair Deal

Koeppel Mazda sales representative Raul Jiminian was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all of my questions, and worked with me to come to what I considered a fair price for my 2018 Mazda 3 manual transmission sedan while accommodating several additional requests I made. I have bought several cars in my lifetime, and I've found that no matter how much you caution sales people not to play games, they can't help themselves. In Raul's case, I was not aware being subjected to any of the typical deceits I've experienced in the past, and his integrity was much appreciated.

Great Experience

I just leased my second car with Mazda and my parents leased their first. From the second we walked in Jim Mendez and his manager Saiful were nothing but helpful! They even remembered us from 3 years ago when I leased with them the first time. They gave us so much attention and worked with us the whole time to make sure we were happy and satisfied with what we were getting, from what kind of cars to the price we were looking to spend. The process is so easy and stress free when dealing with both these guys. I will be recommending them to anyone looking for a new car. Saiful and Jim, Thank you SO much again for another great experience with Mazda. Also thank you to Marcus Plaza from the finance department, another easy and stress free process when it came to all the paper work. You guys are the best! Best Car Dealership in Queens, New York

I've been leasing car since 1996 (bought once) and last Monday was the first time, after 5 leasing experiences from 3 car dealerships, that I left driving a new car from the car dealership really happy and fully satisfied. High praise to my salesman, Carlos Velez, who is very knowledgable and very professional. Sales manager, Saiful Islam, is very friendly, true to his word and very helpful. Of course, the last stage of the process was Marcus, the finance manager. He's such an amazing person. I came in late, hence I was his last client for the night and it's really way past his working hours and despite that I felt no urgency from him- he made me feel like he's got all the time to accommodate me. And he did until we get an agreement with the numbers.. The other sales staff seems to be very professional also. "This car dealership is highly recommended."

I stopped by two weeks ago to check out some features in the Mazda 3. I was immediately approached by a gentleman by the name of Jim M. He took his time to answer all my questions, which I must inform you that I jot down a page load before I even got there. Mr. M. was attentive and very professional. We went out on two test drives and it went great. I was drawn to the dealership by it's variety, not really ready to buy. However, I felt comfortable and assure that my purchase was the right one. I would recommend Mr. M. and Mr. I. (Manager) to my family and friends. They are a power team and helped me with the buying process. -Amed B. Persaud

worst experience buying a car ever

There is a guy called Saiful who apparently makes all the decisions. He is dishonest, sleazy, and goes back on his word. Buying a car here was the most inefficient, long-winded, painful experience ever. Please save yourself the hassle and go to a dealership that actually respects its customers.

No price quote unless downpayment first

I was looking at a Mazda 5 or CX 5 and saw a add from Jennifer that I liked. Went to dealership. This owner that appears on their website was there so I expected at least an experince matching the average dealer. Place was empty Waited 40 min to have. rep see us Assigned to Ian 1) internet quote was not real. The guy told us it was for military that also happened to have a Mazda. Nowhere on the add said that (deceiving people?) 2) oferrered what was on the webpage 3) didn't offer to see the cars 4) I asked for a quote on Mazda 5 5) Ian told me that he couldn't tell me what it'd cost unless I did a pre-payment. And tht if I didn't like the price then, they would give it back 6) asked for and estimate. Ian told me it was complicated. So he did the total MSRP divided by the months. What kind of estimate is that? Taxes? Interests. 7) We left knowing this Ian was supervised by mighty owner. No quote. No care. No estimate. If you are ok with doing a downpaymen to receive a MSRP quote, and like to wait 1 hour, go Koeppel: you might get the pleasure of watching the grand figure owner that's right in their website in person. Worst sales experince ever. I feel sorry for Jennifer (internet sales). She should move to another dealership as she seemed competent.

Great Dealership

Jim Mendez was very helpful both terminating my current lease and arranging my new one. He did not pressure me to take a car he had. Instead he encouraged me to wait for the model, color and features that I wanted. When there was a feature I did not want but it was the only trim available, he worked with me to make it worthwhile. This is my 4th Mazda from this dealership. I would not go anywhere else.

Great Experience

After having just about the worst time ever with Giuffre Mazda in Bay Ridge (see my review here: [HTML deleted], we called up Koeppel to see if they had the car we were looking for. Not only did they have it, but we were able to drive off in it within hours. The staff was super helpful, and even took the time to sit with us in the car and go through all of the features, as well as set up the GPS and Bluetooth. The only drawback was that there was the long wait time to get our financing work done. We spent nearly 3.5 hours there altogether. That said, we walked out very happy with our experience.

Worst Salesmen of the Year!

If you meet "Carlos E Velez" RUN!!! This guy is a [violative content deleted] and a total waste of your time, he should be selling you fish in some third world country.. All he will want to do is sell you something the minute you walk in, he is not interested in truly negotiating or look to understand what your needs are, he does not care if your family/spouse needs to have input in the vehicle that you are trying to purchase/lease,, He doesn't want to give you figures until you agree to purchase something from him??? He will undermine your knowledge and will think he knows it all.. trying to tell me that CX-9 is a 50K vehicle, really?? And the worst part is that I really liked the vehicle and would have actual purchased, if he was more professional and sincere.. I am probably going to buy the vehicle from another dealer.. Too bad Koeppel could not get my business, their Nissan dealer is so much better, and with better associates.. this place needs new management and definitely needs to evaluate MR. Carlos E Velez..

BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!

I have to say, this is my 1st time buying a car from Koeppel Auto Group and it wont be my last. I never really considered a Mazda until I started to see some of the TV ad's. I work in the area of Koeppel mazda so I decided to stop in and check out the car in person. I was greeted by Mr. JOE B. This guy really new his stuff. He treated me me with respect and gave me a+ service. I went out on a TD and I was sold. He is extremely good at what he does, and very aware of what my needs where. I wasn't led in to purchasing something that I didn't want. Joe B is as professional as one could be in the Car Sales business, and Koeppel is lucky to have him there. I will recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone that I know. And for those of you that are doing your research on buying a Mazda from Koeppel, trust me when I tell you that JOE B is the guy you better ask for, and if he isn't there, you should come back when he is, it will be worth it. Thank you Koeppel, and thank you Josef.

BIG BEWARE

A VERY BIG NEGATIVE - yet a simple issue. A couple of days after giving Koeppel a deposit after they couldn't get my car choice, I canceled via fax. I filled out all the loan paperwork etc at the dealer, but now nearly a month later as of this posting, they have not returned my money. I have had to go through my credit card company. This is not the way to treat people, even if they cancel. Besides the credit application, I think they did nothing else. Be forewarned.

Worst Dealer I EVER WENT INTO... AND I HAVE BEEN TO 100's

Went to KOPPEL Mazda To look at the NEW MAZDA 6, 4 DOOR. TOOK 10 MINUTES TO GET HELP, FINALLY SOME KID WHO LOOKED ABOUT 15 YEARS OLD Came up to me, told me he was "NEW" I asked him about the Mada 6, HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE CAR, Did not even know what the standard engine was or the fuel ratings, which I knew berfore I got the from my research!!! I asked to see the base model with a 4cyl engine and they did not have one to see or drive. When I asked about pricing he said he needed to get help (no kidding) "Manager" Mike came over and was not much help. I walked out. What a joke. I know with the millions of people out of work you might be able to find some slightly customer orientaded salespeople to hire. This place needs more help than the customers. I knew more about the car than the salesperson. Stay clear of this place, they rather have total [violative content deleted] working there .. probably because they do not want to pay more intelligent people, which is an idication of how they feel about their customers. I ended up driving out to Long Island and buying a Mazda from Wantagh, who treated me with respect, had a car for me to see AND drive.

The Kind of Place that Gives Car Salesmen a Bad Name

I called a few dealers to get a quote on a car i want. Their price was the lowest. I called back a few days later. The salesman was out. There was no record of our conversation. The car was not in stock. He apologizes--he made not one but TWO errors entering the lease information into the computer (despite my being very clear on the parameters) and the actual price is $40/month higher. The dog ate his homework. If you feel like wasting your time with dishonest salesmen--you have found the right place!!!
