Worst experience

Buying a car can be a stressful event and I now understand why people are afraid of going to big dealers. Me, like many other customers who know nothing about cars and financing numbers thought of going to get assistance and advisory from representatives that are there for that reason but for me it was the opposite. I came to trade in a vehicle and apply for a lease that offered me a certain $ value on Toyota.com but on the dealer they use a different format that will give you half the price, so be aware of that. On the sales section I received wrong information about my chances to get a lease and said I didn't qualify because of score was 670 and that the best option would be buying a new car, build up history, raise my credit and go back within a 6-10 month period. Now, after receiving paperwork I found out that's impossible because with the new car I'm now in negative equity of $30000 even with a 800 score which the salesman never told me about. He didn't even told me that I didn't qualify not because of my credit but the loan I had. I felt like a target and my mistake was trusting on them and their misleading information. On the finance department they're not even telling you that the service agreement is optional, so be aware and say no! If you know nothing about cars and they make you believe that you have to pick one you think is true. In my case I said no 4 times! But the representative insisted that I had to pick one to protect my car and not to mention that a credit card was open in order to qualify for this agreement for less so "I could save money" on my agreement. I went back to the dealer and of course they're going to deny everything they said specially if they're being in front of their bosses and they made me seem like the crazy customer who made everything wrong except them. They didn't solve anything. I'm writing this and been reporting it so it doesn't happen again to more people who are unaware of car facts, numbers and services. Unfortunately I found out the worst way. So if you happen to read this be aware of false promises and read the bad reviews, you can see similar cases like this, meaning they still do this harm and make themselves believe they are providing the best service. And, don't go by yourself because they will take advantage of that! Misleading, deseptive and not clear at all.

Used Car Purchase

Recently stopped in to Atlantic Toyota to trade in my Camry for a 2018 XLE advertised on line. I was hesitant at first but after meeting Product Specialist Joe Mankuski I immediately felt comfortable. Joe was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the car. Joe made me and my wife feel comfortable throughout the entire process, Manager Azarias Mercado became involved to complete the sale. AZ as I came to know him was professional and friendly. My wy wife and I were extremely satisfies with the process and the way we were treated. If you are out to purchase a new or used vehicle,I recommend you go see Joe and AZ.

Leasing again

Leased my 3rd corolla. With Atlantic All the staff was courteous. and helpful. Joe made sure every thing went smooth as possible and kept me updated once I made decision. On the car I wanted. Plan to be back in 3 years when my lease is up to get another car from Atlantic Toyota and will ask for Joe.

Don't believe the prices you see here

I went to the dealer after finding a car. The advertised price was the same as other dealers in Queens but didn't want to travel far so I came to Atlantic Toyota. When I was shown the paperwork to sign, the price of the car had jumped about $2500. The price listed, I was told, was the financing price and not the actual purchase price. They blamed Edmunds for not being accurate. Also there is additional dealer fee of $650. In the end I negotiated but the final price is still higher than the list price shown in here

Leased a Tacoma from them, everything was ok till I came home and did some numbers .. looks like they packed the payments, in the end my fault for not being on point more. Buyer just be careful

Once you buy it, buckle up

First time buying at a dealership, and I can see why it stresses people out to think of going through the process. I purchased a used 2015 Toyota Corolla here, and already know I won't be going back for my next purchase. Sales-wise, not much to complain about. Adem let us sit in a few cars, was personable, and clear with numbers (even if they were much more than expected initially). The finance department, that was a different story. Hernan included cost of extended warranties, prepaid maintenance plan, and extra coverages totaling an extra $3300 - without informing us it was all optional. When I noticed this 2 days later in the paperwork, and wanted to cancel within the legal 30-day window, he told me with a straight face that there was nothing he could do to cancel it. He said I could speak with his manager, but being that i went there after work he wasn't present, and wouldn't give me a phone number or email because "that's personal information I can't give out." After many phone calls and voicemails with an assistant to the GM, who initially helped and then disappeared, I had to contact corporate directly for assistance. Corporate informed me the finance department at Atlantic made errors in the warranty paperwork which prevented them from cancelling it outright, meaning I had to have it corrected at the dealership before it could even be cancelled by corporate. Atlantic Toyora essentially sat on the paperwork, meaning I'd be charged for a warranty that was not even activated to cover me, and played hot potato with the blame. Eventually, I was able to cancel the extra charges thru corporate, but not without unnecessary stress and countless phone calls. It's almost been a month, and I still haven't gotten any response from Atlantic, nor do I expect it. Buyer beware: prices aren't better than other Toyota dealerships, and they won't attempt to help you once they've made a sale.

Bait and Switch Perfected

This dealer wrote the book on bait and switch. I emailed 3 local dealers for a 2018 C-HR. I had a legitimate offer of $280/mo. (including taking back my Scion lease and accepting the vehicle as is), but the person who emailed from Atlantic Toyota (Victoria Rivera) said they could do the same deal for $183 per mo, and they would put the deal together and I wouldn't need to wait, "the car would be ready", so I made an appointment. When I arrived the person I "had the appointment with" pushed me off to a salesperson (Shamika Luciano) who had no idea of "the deal" they offered. Her first "offer" was for $299/mo. After sitting for over 2 hours and having them inspect my Scion, I got my deal: $260/mo, 36 month lease, 12k miles per year, take back my Scion as is, and include floor mats. I was scheduled to pick the car up tomorrow and today, after I requested it, they send me the "purchase agreement" that wasn't given to me on Monday. IT WAS CHANGED. They DELETED the language I had added about taking my Scion back "as is" and the floor mats. When I called the sales manager (Mr. Lee) I was told he REFUSED to honor the deal I had signed for, and that since the dealer had never actually signed the purchase agreement they were not bound to it. The fact is that the sale manager DID agree (verbally followed by a handshake) to the terms agreed to in the dealership, in return for me increasing the lease payment from my $250 offer to $260 per month. *** STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO SELL A CAR AND ONCE A DEAL IS MADE, WILL CHANGE IT. THERE IS A VERY GOOD REASON THE REVIEWS ARE SO NEGATIVE. ***

Predatory [non-permissible content removed] Dealer

NEVER drive off with a vehicle the first day you see it. If you do you are being scammed BIG time! This dealership had me sign my life away and explained NOTHING about the paperwork I signed. Had I not been sooo sick with a life threatening health condition, I wouldn’t have just signed paperwork before even INSPECT or SEEING the vehicle that I awash purchasing. This dealership should have waited at LEAST 3 days to do maintenance on the vehicle & shining it up like new, but no they just wanted their commission check & to hell with the costumer. They didn’t even let m know that we had key pad in the glove compartment that locks/unlocks the vehicle. Plus, they made me sign a paper stating that they filled all fluids & topped the gas off. However, when I drove off the gas itself was less than filled. The car probably never had an oil change, fluids topped or any maintenance done. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP they do EVERYTHING ILLEGAL & PREDATORIALLY TO PUT MONEY IN THEIR HANDS...-THEY DO NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMER! PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I did.

From the 1st phone call with Miguel till the completion of the sale he was outstanding! As with any business transaction you have to deal with many people. Honestly I didn’t think the finance team, Mike as the ultimate closer, would be as accommodating but they did all they could to close the deal and make me happy. Go see Miguel Rivera he certainly is a car enthusiast and you’ll have a great experience. To close your deal Mike will make it happen. Just be clear what you want and your numbers.

I love my new car

I leased my new Toyota CHR from Atlantic Toyota in August and I love it! Not only that I loved the experience. Dania was very professional , and helped me get my monthly payment where I wanted it. She greeted us the second we stepped out of my car into the parking a lot, and made the entire experience enjoyable and effortless. I would definitely recommend Atlantic Toyota to anyone looking for a new car, and I would definitely recommend asking for Dania when you get there.

Unreputable horrible unprofessional and disreputable dealership

They're extremely pushy. They did not explain the car to me. They did not explain the lease agreement to me. They only wanted me to sign the lease. They did not bring the car around to me. The gas was on empty. The fluids were not filled up. They threw the papers at us. The tires had to much pressure in them. One of the tires was missing a cap.

We got quotes from different dealers and the other dealers sold out. Atlantic Toyota got the car. First they wouldn't match other offers, so I said that's fine, we just look somewhere else. The sales person was polite and professional. She was trying to get us to stay, went back to get her boss. He had an attitude and rude. We got out before my husband lost his temper. I would not recommend anyone and feel sorry for the people working under him. I recommend Sunrise Toyota at Oakdale.
