Great salesman Bill Brienza / Great dealership

Just took possession of my new Mazda3 Sport Hatchback from Smith Haven Mazda. My salesman Bill was easy to work with, most accommodating and his walk-through of the car on pick-up day was thorough and informative. Pat McCloskey the Business Manger was very friendly and through as well. Easy-peasy. I will be returning in due course for my free oil changes and inspections, but in the mean time, ZOOM ZOOM.

Great experience

I recently purchased a Mazda CX-5 from Dennis Hofer. He was so straightforward, upfront about pricing, and knowledgeable about the cars and approximating the financing, Even the finance guy, Abe? was extremely likable, which I think is rare. Far better experience than other dealerships. Nothing but good things to say about everyone at Smith Haven Mazda.

When I stopped by smith haven Mazda I had no intentions in buying a car right then and there. l knew I had a specific price range I wanted to stay in. Chris made that happen, he was excellent. Leased the car that day. He knew what he was talking about and when I came to pick up the car I was in and out. He will definitely be seeing us again when my sisters lease is up.

New car buy - Mazda CX3

Most of my car shopping was on line and then visiting different dealers and test driving. The Mazda CX3 had the most options to offer for the money. I pay cash and Smith Haven had the best deal. Got top of the line with all options. John the salesman was very helpful. Love the car.

No pressure friendly and knowledgeable

Stopped by Smithtown Mazda to look at a Miata RF club was greeted by salesman Chris told him what I was looking for he took me to the car to check it out and asked me if I wanted a test ride well I did and the rest is history we went inside sat down talked some numbers and I ended up buying the car the car is awesome and the buying experience was nothing but a absolute pleasure Chris will certainly be getting my return business and I will be recommending him to my family and friends

Went to five other dealerships and have to say that Smith Haven Mazda is the place to go and buy. Our Salesman Jonathan was friendly and knew his cars which helped make the decision easy. The Sales Manager was right there making us feel comfortable, not pressured and less confused. What a great experience, will be back to buy again!

Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200 just buy elsewhere

I cannot elaborate enough what a horrendous experience we had at this dealer. The salesman Kirk plays the seasoned caring car salesman to a T. Beware, the first red flag was when we came out to test drive a car and was told no don't leave a deposit the car has been on the lot for over 30 days. Day we were scheduled to sign paperwork we get phone call that they are selling car to someone else. Give a credit card over phone to "hold" car. Get to dealership and mistakenly had left plates at home. So I sign paperwork solo. Get home to find out that we were overcharged for the car. There was one price advertised on their website, another price on Craigslist and finally the price we were charged. Take a guess which price was the highest!?!?! Numerous phone calls were made, and for first week response was well get back to you. Finally salesman Kirk had the audacity to say to my daughters boyfriend "why do you even care, you're not making the payment". At this point they are referring to the error as a mistake NOT FALSE ADVERTISING and are willing to refund Craigslist price not website price. Told to come in to pick up check, make the drive only to be told it's being mailed and then staff was incredulous that I said loud enough for other customers to hear if you want an awesome Mazda experience to go to Wantagh Mazda. Can't stress how much of a shady dealership this is!!!'

Very Pleased!

Probably best buying experience in recent memory. I've been purchasing new cars for over 40 years and Joe Collocola (I hope I got that right) was excellent. I knew what I wanted and Joe basically facilitated the purchase. No back room shenanigans. Got all the right things done so when I went to pick up my new Miata everything was in order. Highly recommend the dealership and Joe. Good experience.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!

2 stars is generous. I would stay far away. I love the car, but would never work with this dealership ever again. So many hassles since I began the lease and it's only been a month and a half. They rush you to sign paperwork and before you know it, they come back saying, "well the paperwork says this, you signed it." Sure whatever, but it seems like they have no desire to make you happy once you're out of their doors. Happy customers will refer friends, unhappy customers will tell every person they know to stay away. I will make sure to tell the world how I was treated. The sales staff has all been so rude and condescending and deceptive. I feel taken advantage of completely. I mistakenly put my trust into them, and signed paperwork believing I was receiving certain things that were TOLD to me, and the paperwork never matched what the reality was. Now it's my problem? What a way to do business.

Future Customers Are Current Cudtomers - Not!

I purchased a 2015 Mazda CX-5 in December of 2015 which ended up having a MAJOR issue which resulted in me having to return the vehicle to the dealership. I found the management, especially Dennis Aberle , the General Sales Manager at this dealership to be very non sympathetic to the problem, unhelpful, arrogant, uncaring about the inconvenience I suffered ( I was in a loaner car for over a month) and very non communicative about how my problem was going to be solved. In fact everything I was told at the start of the ordeal by the management turned out to be nothing but BS. Dennis Aberle is a huge detriment to this dealership. Not only is he [non-permissible content removed] but he lacks the skills necessary to provide satisfactory customer service. Rather than go out of his way to ensure a happy customer his arrogance and non sympathetic attitude drives customers away. Obviously he does not realize that a dealership's future customers are its current customers. I commend the following people at this dealership for their integrity, hard work, helpfulness and overall friendly attitude : Jon Frisch, Adam Cevallos, Tyler Munro. If you choose to do business at this dealership I strongly suggest that you work ONLY with these 3 individuals and no one else If it wasn't for them I would have demanded that my down payment be returned to me and I would have gone to a different dealership. Bottom line - because the 3 gentlemen I mentioned above went out of their way to solve my problem and put forth extra effort to help me I decided to continue a business relationship with this dealership despite my extreme dissatisfaction. The General Sales Manager, Dennis Aberle could not care less about my dissatisfaction and did absolutely nothing to appease me or change my opinion of the dealership. In fact, all he did was lie to me and leave a very bad taste in my mouth. It is very unlikely that I will ever purchase another vehicle from this dealership nor will I recommend Smithaven Mazda to anyone I know. Again, if you visit this dealership and choose to do business there', ONLY do business with Jon Frisch Adam Cevallos and Tyler Munro as they are the only ones there that know how to treat a customer right and avoid any dealings with Dennis Aberle, the GSM because you all only regret doing business there. As a side note I picked up my replacement vehicle on January 30th. When I got home I noticed paint chips on the front bumper. I drive back to the dealership and spoke to Dennis Aberle who refused to give me the time of day. Instead he asks another gentleman to go look what I was complaining about. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership on February 10th to have the issue resolved. This is just another example of the incompetence and poor customer service demonstrated by this GSM.

Miata owner buys a Mazda 3

Miata owners are a picky bunch. The love their cars, so they pay a lot of attention to who services their car. Visit the many Miata forums online and you will see people asking about replacing the crush washer for the oil pan drain plug when they get a oil change. So when it came time to buy a new car, I decided to take advantage of Mazda's owner loyalty program. Smith Haven was courteous and they gladly processed my paperwork for the discount. The sales professionals were patient and took care to explain the nuances of every car I asked about. The dealer also arranged financing for me at 1.9% for 5 years, which was the best possible deal two years ago. They would have received 5 stars, but I'm deducting 1 because of the way it was prepped for delivery. To their credit, Smith Haven has a three page checklist. Unfortunately it was late, some of the service personnel had already left, and I was ready to leave. After all, the car was new, what could go wrong? The first sign of a worry was seeing a fellow use a DeWalt power drill to mount the screws for the license plate. Yes, these are the same drills used to drill drywall screws into 2x4's. The second problem was the gentleman tossed out the window sticker. Now for a non-Miata owner, this would not make a difference. But Miata owners love their cars and the experience of buying a new car is full of wonder and joy. The window stick is something to be cherished. This seeming small mistake was compounded the inability to get a replacement sticker until I appealed to Rob (whom I have total respect) 2 months later. My Mazda is wonderful. At 10k miles, and two years later, it still drives like new. I would still by another car from Smith Haven, and I would recommend my friends to them. But hands off that window sticker!

Great Experience For First Time Lease

Jonny "Coloroado" was a pleasure to work with. He gave me time to look around the lot before he helped me and I really appreciate that. He was helpful and informative and personable. I will send anyone that is looking for a Mazda to him. He worked with me on my trade in and final sale price. Marion in finance was extremely friend and helpful as well. I never felt like anyone was trying to pull something over my eyes, just trying to help me leave with the right car. I love my Mazda 3 S Grand Touring. Thank you!

Outstanding Customer Service!

This is my third new Mazda that I have bought from Smith Haven Mazda in the short time span of just 5 years. I started out with a 2011 CX-7, then moved into a 2014 CX-5 AWD Grand Touring, and now have my new, beautiful 2016 CX-5 GT AWD Grand Touring in the new color Titanium, that is the first car I have been able to buy fully loaded. All of my cars were purchased from Joe C., who from the beginning, has been the consummate professional. He has always treated me, (a woman), with with the utmost respect, and has never attempted to mislead me in any way. He most assuredly, is not the "typical" car salesperson as he is upfront, straightforward, and honest. Quite frankly, Joe is the main reason why I have remained loyal to Smith Haven Mazda, and will continue to do so in the future. Also, the management/ owner also has been good to me, as well as the wonderful staff in the service department. The new finance person, Marion S., was also a joy to deal with as she was friendly, upfront, and did not try to misrepresent or mislead me at any time during the finance process. I will be returning to this dealership not only for all of my regular service maintenance, but also to purchase my new cars in the future!

So rude. I bought a car that had paint chips. Ive mentioned it before but the woman ive bought my car from no longer works there. So they laugh in mu face. The guy says"hah, ill find out the price.we're not gunna fix it for free" No wonder why a lady was cursing and making a scene while i was purchasing my vehicle and my sales rel no longer works here.

My experience at SMITH HAVEN MAZDA was nothing short of PERFECT!!!!! My salesperson, Jon Colorado, he is THE BEST he is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I have always HATED going to dealerships but Johnny C made this my best experience EVER!!! I received the best deal possible for my MAZDA 6 I love MAZDA's now, I never had one before and this is also the best car I have purchased so far. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly, and helpful, found no better dealership than Smith Haven.

Bait and Switch

Went to see used 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander GT as advertised on several websites. Our salesman (for used cars only) said, "let's see if it's still here" he did not know anything about the model and wanted to show us an Outlander Sport. Then he walked us over to a used 2015 (red which only came out in 2015.). Was a huge waste oft time.
