My experience buying a new car at Garvey Kia in Queensbury was excellent. I went in knowing which car I wanted and had a price in mind. I also had a lot of questions. Claude Middleton was my sales person. He was able to answer most of my questions. Anything he could not answer himself he went directly to the parts manager or service manager to get accurate answers. The negotiation process went smoothly and I was satisfied that I got a good deal without any of the "slight of hand" I had recently encountered at another dealership. Claude took care of all the paperwork and I was able to leave with a new car the same day. It was as easy a car buying experience as I've ever had.

Worth the trip

When I first started looking for a new vehicle, I knew Kia was on my list. I only knew of two other Kia dealerships in the Capital District, and I was uncomfortable purchasing a vehicle from them, so I traveled about an hour up to Queensbury. I never regretted my decision. The dealership has a family feel. Everyone worked together to answer questions, explain things, and look for what I wanted. Claude Middleton was extremely helpful in showing the car, and following up regularly to see if I had any questions. I never felt pressure to make a decision, only the desire to help me make a decision. If that decision wasn't a Kia, that would have been ok too. It was this attentiveness, in addition to the great vehicle that convinced me. Other dealerships I visited didn't even call me back after multiple messages. I'm very happy with my choice in selecting Garvey Kia as my new dealership. The people at Garvey make my hour drive for service worth while.

I just bought a Kia Soul EV from Matt Frye. This is my second electric car. My first one was bought from a dealership that was “certified” for electric cars, and they were very unknowldegeble about electric cars and would had rather sold me a gasoline vehicle. So I was going onto Garvey with low expectations. But Matt actually had knowledge of electric cars and talked positively of them. (Most dealerships don’t like to sell electric cars as they don’t require much maintenance from their service centers.) Matt shared with us all the training they’ve received from the company about electric cars. That is so great to hear!! Thank you Garvey for being a part of this electric car movement. And thank you Matt for such great service!! I’d recommend anyone and everyone to go see Matt!! Great service! Great car! LOVE my Soul EV!! Buy electric!!! Thank you!!

I’ve had horrible experiences with dealerships in the past, but i have it one more shot and so glad i did. Tom is the man, not only does he have a great sense of humor, but he also worked with me, didn’t pressure me into buying anything, and by the end of the day i got a phenomenal deal on a new car that i love!!! First Time Buying From A Dealership

I have owned two cars prior to my visit to the Kia dealership. My first car lasted for about 3 years ($3,000) and my second car started to fall apart a little after 1 ($2,500). I was looking for a car for 2 or 3 months before i decided to just take a look at a dealership. My first few experiences weren't very good. As a woman I could tell that the salesmen felt they could take advantage of my believed lack of knowledge on a car (which is hilarious and irksome as I am obsessive with research and my father-in-law has found it important I know how to do thing such as change my own oil and breaks). When I said my preferred price range ($7,000) they looked at me as if i was dumb or nearly snickered. Many also blatantly ignored my desire for a used car and would bring me straight to the new cars... And then, I went to Kia... The environment is very warm and inviting. I didn't feel like they needed to sell a car, rather that this was a tool for me to look around and discover exactly what I wanted. Tom was my sales rep, and he was AMAZING. I told him what I wanted and he helped me look around. He wasn't disheartened when I didn't like a car he showed me. We would see what I liked and look at another. He also did not mind that I brought a heard of people with me and was very accommodating not only to myself but them. He didn't focus on just me as a buyer and treated everyone with equality and importance. Once I found the car I wanted, Tom was interested to see I had actually done my research into possible problems with the car. During the check up before I would get the car some of those problems were found. I expected this.. however... I am an anxious person... So I would continually call and message Tom with questions and concerns. He was never upset with me, and would earnestly listen to what I had to say and would do everything in his power to help... even going above and beyond what was required of him! Kia took care of the registration and Tom walked me through every step of the way, even taking a step back and helping when I was lost or confused. I recommend Kia to anyone that wants to be treated with kindness and like a human being. Also, another shout out for Tom, he is awesome!

Our experience with Garvey Kia and Claude Middleton was top notch. My husband and I were not looking forward to the car buying process at all and the pushy salesmen we expected to encounter. Our experience with Claude was far from that. He made the process easy and we never felt harassed into making any decision. Additionally, we appreciated doing business locally and would recommend Garvey highly to friends and family moving forward. I give this recommendation after also spending time at the "other" KIA dealerships that advertise so heavily in our area and I can say that the customer service we received at the other dealerships doesn't even compare, I always left feeling like they saw us as just a number.

Best Car Buying Experience Ever

On Feb 4th my wife and I began our journey to look at and possibly lease a new car. After a couple of stops at other dealerships in the Glen Falls/Queensbury area we decided to stop at Garvey KIA. My sister had just purchased a KIA and given it great reviews so my wife wanted to see first hand what see was all excited about. From the moment we opened the front door until the moment we picked up our new Sportage 4 days later the entire experience was the best that we have ever had in our 36 years of buying cars as a couple. The professionalism that was shown by our salesperson, Claude Middleton, Matthew in finance and the other sales staff was fantastic. At no time did we ever feel pressured and were made to feel very comfortable by all. They even tried to feed us but of course it was the first day on our get healthy diets. The color and AWD that we wanted was not on their lot but they were able to locate it and have it ready for us in 3 working days. The entire time that Claude spent going over the Sportage and all its features with my wife, whom is the primary driver, was well over 20 minutes and then he even took us for a test drive and filled up the gas tank for us. Going forward Garvey will be doing all the service for us even though it is a 45 minute drive for us. Thanks to all !!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!

My wife and I were out car shopping on Feb 4th and stopped in to Garvey Kia after going to other dealerships in the Glen Fall, NY area. So glad we did. Claude, our salesperson was a very important reason that we ended up purchasing a new KIA Sportage. He was very professional and never made us feel like we were under pressure to buy. After test driving a couple of different models we settled on the Sportage AWD. They did not have the color we wanted but were able to find one and get it for us in a couple of days. The day we picked the vehicle up Claude spent a 1/2 hour of so showing my wife all the features of the car so she had a great understanding of how everything functioned. From Sale to Finance to picking the car up it was the best experience we have ever had in our 36 years of buying new or used cars. The entire staff made us feel like they cared and bent over backwards to make the entire experience very satisfying. Would highly recommend them if you are looking for a vehicle and plan on using them for our service needs even though we have to drive 45 mile one way to get there. Thanks. Alvie McKinstry
